  • While the operator's feed rate has an effect on the depth of cut, the response time of the safety system is under five milliseconds. In short, a faster feed rate may make a slightly deeper scratch, but the difference should not be very obvious. We are always conscious of supporting safe cutting practices, and are careful to demonstrate commonly-recommended cutting speeds in our videos. Other older videos found on YouTube often show a faster feed rate, with the same positive result.

  • The guy was moving the hot dog rather slowly. What would happen if he were moving it faster, like he would in real life?

  • @tunghoy Actually that looked like a reasonable speed to me, though I wouldn't doubt many other people would move faster than that.
