Very clear who ever posted this loves anything but what his mama looks like. I am all for loving everyone but i wonder why black men place so much value on every one but where they come from-a black woman. You have no ties to blonde women and that's okay. Its okay to like other people but its also okay to love who you ARE and came from-A BLACK woman. That will never change until you breed the black out which is that is happening now. People are shallow to think that this one post has no impact
this is one of my favorite o'jays song--i have the tape of the whole album. on the other side the o'jays do a gospel version of this song. it,of course, is beautiful too. thanks soso much for posting!!!
I say Eddie Levert in the Houston airport a few weeks ago and he took pictures with me... really cool brother. Thank you for all the great songs. keep on keeping on...
@sweetie9046 what exactly didn't you like about how one of the greatest "r & b" groups sang the song? I quoted "r & b" because the O'Jays are one of those groups that could have sang many genres of music had they been given the opportunity, including "rock" but I won't go there because those whom are in the know...know where and whom "rock" originated from.

oh my!! you have just started listening to the ojays if you think this track is great you need to hear "Desire me" now that is a real classic trust me on that one!!!!
I have the live version of this from the 30th Anniversary Concert and have always enjoyed it as one of the best cover versions of a Bob Dylan song, ever. I always felt that the O'Jays found the soul in that song and took it to church. Dylan himself will admit that many times in his career, other artists found the song that he was trying to get out.
It's nice to hear this version as well, thanks for making the video.
Just tell the crackers not to direct their anger toward all African men because some of us dont want his cracker dog. The fear of being genetically wiped off the map is the reason cracker cops target African men.
This is some "emotional" shit right here!! Especially if you've been in love and goin' thru some shit with yo' girl!! Damn, you can feel the emotion in this song!
phelpsOOOO & frownytown dont be mad @ me cus i refuse to recognise ur god bob dylan! if not for "change the world" i doubt if i would have known him,i like that song just cus of Babyface not b dylan. i think he lacks the crossover appeal thats much needed to be a universal superstar like others!
Change the World isn't a Bob Dylan song. I don't even know if he's ever performed it. It's an Eric Clapton song.
If you don't think Bob has universal appeal, you don't live in his universe. at 68 years old he still performs 100 shows a year all around the world. He transcends superstar, the way BB King does.
That's obvious. While trying to argue for peace and harmony, you continue to display arrogance, ignorance and hostility to Bob Dylan. How can you say the O'Jays version is better than bob's if you have never heard it...I've heard both, I am a huge Dylan fan, but even I recognize that The O'Jay's version is better...but you shouldn't take my word for it. Open your mind and your heart will follow.
It's a shame that people bring race to it, but you didn't help with the comment "who is b. dylan anyway?" It's not whether you like his version of the song or not, but you should have some respect that he wrote the song.
xxxlady... i'm talking about the ojay's performance of this song at dylan's 30th anniversary concert... they do an amazing performance of the dylan original... so yeah...
1st am not gonna bother 2 listen 2 bob dylans version of this piece tthere's just no basis 4 comparison 2 ojays version! how the fock can u compare these artists? who the hell is b.dylan any way? Y'all whites just had 2 make this a racial thing just like everything else.any white who's thinks he/she is beta than someone else just cus they white & nothing else is trully inferior! bottom line bring something else 2 the table!
Thanks for posting. I think the best version of this is the O'Jays performance at Dylan's 30th anniversary. Personally, I prefer Dylan's studio version to this.
All the people opposed to the interracial pictures need to get a life in the current century.
Working with a black is fine, but intimate relationship,I think not.The problem is many have no understanding of anthropology and racial studies,in 70 years we have evolved in some areas and devolved in others
hey all...well i guess i never thought the interaccial pics....would be a problem.....i never thought of it.....i used these pics...(which has some of my own in it)....because it really home at the time.....i was very taken by someone.....this is one of his favorite groups...and i made it thinking of him ..thinking of us. I LOVE the INTERACCIAL MIX of us..thats all...i was only thinking of us at the time. THANKS for the comments. ;)
Thats why i dont like interracial crap, its allways black guy and a white girl.If there was no predjudice most of black men would choose light or white skin girls, babys are always black if my daughter would wanna have a black man id kill the god in her, aint no way there is no good white guy on planet good enough for her, good track by the way!

I also like the version at the 30th celeb disc.
Am I alone to have someone to dedicate this song?
I will always be hers!
....And I wished I could've been the one for her!
