No the 99 team was just full of star power and didn't have the chemistry the 2001 team had. I love the 99 team, but the 2001 team came through in games and even if they played bad, together they found a way to win.

Duke should have won it all in 86 and 99, but it wasn't meant to be. They came up short, but I'm glad we have our 3 championships, and more to come.

what a great team. you had Battier, who probably won't be an NBA all-star but is a James Posey-type of role player every good team needs, Williams, who if not for the injury would be at least a solid starting point guard, Dunleavy, the Most Improved Player last year, Duhon, a solid starting point, and of course Boozer, who won a gold medal this summer. you probably won't see a team with this much NBA talent for a LONG time.
