Society rarely shines a light on psychopathic/sociopathic mothers and female caregivers. Though somewhat rarer than male psychopaths, I've always felt that they've had the most power to abuse and corrupt because they simply aren't seen as capable of psychopathic acts and behaviors by most people. So they go undetected for far longer.
It's been 6 years since I first started watching SNL. I have watched every episode from the 1960s cast to the current cast. But out of all those brilliant comedic stars that passed by on the screen as the episodes progressed, it was always Darrell who I admired most. To know that behind the stage and the bright lights, this actually happens to people saddens me. Darrell if you read this, I wish you and your family nothing but the best. There is no solid proof, you got to realize there IS a possibility that he had a rough childhood and was fed pills left and right without some big evil "programming" plan being behind it. This has happened to a lot of people, it's a mistake to think that everyone in entertainment is programmed. That's certainly not the case.

I would have never guessed... how shocking and sad. I actually just finished a marathon of Bill Clinton bits from SNL on Hulu. He's one of the key reasons why I went into comedy.

I'm definitely a fan of Darrell Hammond. It's disturbing to learn someone who's shared his gift with so many has endured things so many would never survive. His professional achievements have been tremendous, and surviving that kind of life is an even greater. This is a testement to his true character, which is so much more than anyone could've guessed. I hope he finds peace with this in his life and can achieve true happiness in the very near future. He's earned it.
