I lol'd when I first saw Whoopi Goldberg as the Chesire Cat, such a weird fit, and good god Martin Short's work on the Hatter is so dead on, blows Johnny Depp's interpretation out of the water, as cool as he is. The real Hatter is a mad irishmen.

That's one of my few complaints to this film, Whoopi Goldberg was the wrong choice for the role of the Cheshire cat and the dialogue in the movie with the Cheshire cat sucks, I don't know why they didn't go with the dialogue in the book. "Where should I go?" Cheshire cat: "That depends a great deal on where you want to go." Alice: "I don't much care where." Cheshire cat: "Then it doesn't really matter which way you go."
