@wong2008a: Could be FL Studio. If your software has a piano roll, make full use of it : put in percussions at every 16th note. I don't have the exact soundfonts buf if I do, I'd be able to reproduce it. ^_^ x

This sounds to me like the music that would play when a beloved main character is going through a final stage that will lead to their tragic death in the storyline. It has a sort of intense, sorrowful resolve.

It's my favorite tune in the entire Touhou series thus far, and I'm an enthusiast.

I agree. For composing music... it's better to practice mental hygiene and keep your library of music minimal. Some of the greater musicians look back to the classics rather than recent hits.

That's true for some people. However, there are those who could compose original stuff well after hearing alot of songs. A clever composer would probably think "I never heard this style attempted with that songs melody" and similiar. They then get to mixing til it's at the point where the mixer begins to leave out the original and continues forward. I came across some musicians who went in that direction before. Sometimes it's a mess, other times it comes out great.

Oddly, I find that one a little easier than stage 6A. This is probably among one of my favorites (if not, best) out of the Touhou series level themes.
