If the POPE had spoken out vigoursly against Adolph Hitler...there would never had been a WW2. When was the last time our religious leaders spoke out strongly against a war? Some of them may have spoken out against the Vietnam war but only after the majority of the people decided that war was wrong. Church leaders are NOT moral guides for us in our lives.
I never want to give clerics-Christian, Jewish, or Moslem a free pass-but I seriously doubt Pope Pius X could have stopped the Nazis--he and the church could have done more--but they have such an anti-communist fear that the Fascists seemed like protectors. It was especially difficult in Spain as Franco was definitely pro-Church and many Republicans were militantly even violently anti-clerical.
Thanks!

Good video! Where did you get all those poster graphics?

This vid made my mind swim.... The propaganda of the posters and the prayer... thank goodness the ending cleared the decks and set my mind right!

Thanks, Nadia! This needs to be read or heard from time to time to remind us that what we don't say may be more important than what we do say.

mark twain or war posters?

Mark Twain. I've been tempted to drill a hole in a couple of his books just so I can fuck him. But first editions and drills don't mix.

You can trying drilling another hole in your head, but it must be pretty windy there already, as there is nothing between your ears.
