  • lol theres a kid staring at u on floor 1

  • There is also a hotel across the street from the mall, a La Quinta Inn. There are five elevators, one is either a Dover or Thyssenkrupp that serves only the first five floors, a freight elevator and three elevators that serve all 15 floors. The main elevators are Otis and the freight I am guessing is Otis but it is hidden. The main elevators have an annoying fan but are very fast and smooth.

  • Someone decided to stash some water bottles in the shaft...maybe that's what the broken wire-mesh wall is there.

  • Tom?

  • 1:47 reminds me of Filechia's Bathroom :)

  • What a shame. That thing needs to be condemned for the loose panel.

Should be a quick fix, though.

  • I Googled this location and I couldn't find it. But when we both do our elevator tour, I plan to visit this elevator.

  • @Streetcar1743 There are several other elevators around the River Walk. Also, the Tower of Americas has some awesome Otis glass elevators with a two speed door on the outside and a three speed door inside the elevator, originally Lexan but now with new fixtures.

  • @skylerandcub That is neat to have a River Walk elevator system. Espcially when a wheelchair bus customer is being unloaded and that wheelchair customer wants to go to down to have coffee.

  • @Streetcar1743 we will. along with the others on the riverwalk, NIX hospital, and the Hyatt hotel.

  • @dieselducy With the carved in graffiti, I am going to ask Don Keys to teach me how to get rid of carved in graffitti. According to a movie from VIA's own channel, I have learned that the VIA Yellow Line serves a stop near the elevator.

  • @Streetcar1743 Once downtown we walk :) Cheaper and HEALTHIER than public transit. both austin and San Antonio, we drive downtown then walk elsewhere.. I only have to park the car once.

  • @dieselducy Well it is. And it is another alternative to high gas prices. We also end up keeping the seats open on the VIA bus for the workers that clean the elevators that we film.

  • A shame that the elevator gets bad treatment. CJ Anderson fixtures are excellent and much nicer than other third-party fixtures. Also, I love that elevator motor and the elevator itself. CJ Anderson, your fixtures are the best and your website is excellent.

  • Are you the guy from life in a day????

  • @JohnnyJohnW yep I am :)

  • This looks worse than a transit elevator, and this looks like a nice part of town...what gives here?

  • @dontwalkhand What it is, it's a nice elevator, but some of the residents of San Antonio can't seem to behave and it's a shame that some people especally that are gang bangers seem to want to trash an nice elevator. And what burns me is that the nice people in wheelchairs are stuck with this kind of garbage.

  • I think you gave that kid quite the scare there...

  • The elevator & the buttons needed to get modernization

  • WOAH, that's HORRIBLE. That's worse than the subway elevators here in NY... that really is bad.

  • this is a copy

  • This is a ghetto version of the elevator at La Chateau Village!

  • LOL at 1:47 the elevator decided to fart

  • That lift is cool, I want to film it if and when I get to Riverwalk one day.

  • that kids like dude why u filmin me

  • Great video! These fixtures were installed back in the early 1990's. Compared to the innovation bruiser line this button is more durable. The brusier button has a cap that falls out. Ours is pressed in and solid acrylic. Innovation makes a good product but the tough stuff doesn't compare! Thanks for all the great comments!

  • Very nice elevator, and EMR Elevator was established in 1984. So, this elevator has taken a big beating for almost 30 years, and the CJ Anderson fixtures are just as tough as Innovation Bruiser. I bet the fixtures will last another 30+ years with no problem.

  • @CaptainElevator42189 this was installed in 2002 i believe..

  • Maybe so, but it has that vintage mid-1980's design to it.

  • i love this elevator. see it every time we go to San Antonio River Walk every year. we live like 100 miles to San Antonio.

  • Now thats why you have CJ Anderson fixtures

  • @TheDaniel500 CJ Anderson fixtures are some of the finest on the market..

  • People don't have anything better to do than to just vandalize. :-( But CJ Anderson proves their fixture durability on this one!

  • First this time haha
