I was using a bad star power path for this run... had to not use whammy during the first 3 phrases for it to work. It's better to whammy them, and activate partway through the 3rd phrase instead... I just haven't bothered redoing it the right way yet.

Then how do you explain the fret buttons lighting up before the note reaches the target? Some held notes not quite being held for the entire length? Star power being used? None of those things happen with an auto-play hack.

I explained in an earlier comment why I didn't whammy there... with the path I was using at the time, I'd get the first 3 SP phrases, but if I whammied, Star Power would've overlapped the 4th phrase, and I wouldn't have got that one.

It is better to whammy during the first few phrases, and activate right before the 3rd note of the 3rd phrase, I just didn't know that at the time.

To clear up the "666" issue here, at 3:34 it shows a distorted 6 making it look like a five. but it clears up a second later. Pause it at 3:35. You can clearly see the six in the middle. Curse you, Satan.

I didn't whammy because with the SP path I was using, whammying would've added enough Star Power so that it'd be active through the 4th SP phrase, so I wouldn't have got the SP from that one. There's a better path that I use now, in which I DO whammy the first couple phrases and activate partway through the 3rd phrase, but I haven't got around to actually doing a FC run with it.

No, it's a distorted 6 in the score window, which resembles a 5, but a VERY CLEAR 6 on the newspaper screen.

I've checked the original video on my hard drive too, and it clearly shows a 6 both times there.

No, it's 666. It does kinda look like a 5 here on YouTube, on the score counter in the corner... but when it gets to the results screen, even with the reduced quality that happens with every video I upload, you can clearly see that it's 666.

I only use my 1st and 2nd fingers for them. I put my 1st finger on Yellow, then tap each Blue note with my 2nd finger, then move the same fingers up to Blue and Orange for the next ones.

The reason I don't whammy on the first 3 SP phrases is so that my first star power activation will end just before the 4th SP phrase. If I whammy, I'd miss it... I get more points this way. I've learned since then that I'd get even more points if I did whammy, and activated just before the last note of the 3rd phrase, but I didn't think of that at the time.
