  • grover's resume has as lot of ups and downs

  • Inasmuch as Grover does is best to demonstrate 'in' and 'out,' he is the victim of people who are frustrated by both performing a repetitive task AND mechanical failure. Good memory, though!

  • I just discovered that Mr. Smith was a contestant on the Remembering Game, Bill Smith, competing against Cookie Monster. I don't know if it was the same voice actor, but it was definitely the same muppet with the same hair.

  • I see this is #3, is there a #1, and #2?

  • Grover would look good at the Tower Of Terror Hotel at Disney California Adventur as an elevator Op. I would love to see him at Hollywood Tower Hotel Lol

  • awsome :D

  • The ending part was silly when some dude punched the elevator door to pieces. What a

    jack ass!

  • Grover annoys everybody with the IN and OUT demo. Why not have him do the UP and DOWN demo instead?

  • Grover wacked that guy in the face and said he was sorry afterwards. I don't care how old you are, that is still funny.

  • HA HA HA

  • Hey this elevator doesn't work we're getting out they knock Grover down lol

  • In the episode of the singing telegram, the Fat Blue's name is Mr. Johnson. So which is it - Johnson or Jenkins?

  • His name's Mr. Johnson. I was into the excerpts with Grover attending to him when I was little. But like many of you, I didn't know the name of the snippy, blue muppet.

  • I don't know why these muppets become elevator operators. There's also the one with the Count who would rather count all the floors than stop at the right one.

  • The elevator really worked. I think they wanted to get even with Grover by pressing the stop button so they had an excuse to bust out and run over him.

  • Interesting idea... perhaps Fat Blue seized the opportunity to get even with Grover for all the countless encounters Grover drove him mad? :-)

  • When they said they're gettin' out, they should've pressed the button that reads DOOR OPEN. Elevators these days have buttons to open and close the doors.

  • haha..the bit where they smash through the elevator door! hilarious :)

  • Sounds like there's a geiger counter in that elevator.

  • "Grover, how do you like your job?"

"It has its ups and downs."

  • Do you have the other Grover the elevator operator Muppet sketches:

    a. Front/back

    b. Only 5 People Will Fit

    rollingchild4

  • You can ask Nantosuichoken if he can reupload B for you.

  • The username is now Nantoreturns, not Nantosuichoken because Nantosuichoken's account is suspended and is replaced by Nantoreturns.

  • I believe he was also suspended before Nantosuichoken.

  • He returned as NantoVision since November.

  • Also, I remember this as a kid! It seems that the writers of "Sesame Street" always have the Muppets break things!

  • I thought Fat Blue was called Mr. Johnson!

  • I bet Mr. Jenkins was the orange Anything Muppet since Mr. Johnson is the Fat Blue anything muppet.

  • Actually Grover called the orange muppet Mr. Smith in this one. Must be related to Bill Smith the contestant from The Remembering Game.

  • Yeah and I think Fat Blue was called Mr.Jekind in this one because he was being performed by Jim Henson in this ssketch.

  • Yeah. It seems like Jerry Nelson performs Mr. Johnson and Jim Henson performs Mr. Jenkins. I guess the two of them are different people who just happen to look alike. :)

  • I don't think these people have official names. Grover is just making up names in passing. "Excuse me, Mr. Jenkins." "I did not mean to hit you, Mr. Smith."

  • I always wanted to see Grover the Elevator Operator: Front and Back. The only fact I know from it is it features Guy Smiley! My favorite Jim Henson character.

  • Fat Blue's name is Mr Jenkins. Now we know. I remember

this one very well.I think this was one of the last clips Roosevelt Franklin was in. Another great clip

from the glory days of Sesame Street when the show

    was great.

  • It was Mr. Jenkins, but now it's Mr. Johnson.
