  • you should make a commercial bank or 2 for sale

  • to się ogląda jak niezły film

  • 4:14 sounds like something from Kraftwerk

  • This video is ART. It is brilliant.

  • 13:07 rocks...

  • you are one of the best synth programers out there

a little dark for my taste but still great

  • 03:53 - the best sound for my ears

  • whats happening?

  • I can see you, you brown whatever I hate the effin' eagles man.

  • @EdPolepsy Get your own effin' cab.

  • why not upload your sound bank to share

  • feels like the 90s

  • @twoule. You are quite right! I dont know how that happened! I think i deleted some text and left the "???" Lingering like an awkward question.... slap my wrist!... but mind my casio...

  • I didn't like my C at all when I owned it, lots of menu-diving and clicking though pages despite it has a decent amount of on-board knobs and buttons, I found I almost always ended up with various pads/string/drone sounds on which I admit the Virus do extraordinary well, but it had a hard time inspiring me with its uncooperative response to wilder patching, resulting in a blurry mess on this board. I know it looks deep, but stick to the safe side with this synth and you'll be much happier.

  • Love trance melody from 05:14

  • @TheSparkover trance melody? that's boys of summer. :)

  • @shayeasy

From Don Henley?Wow,thanx for the name of the song. This melody is really trancy, now thats one of my favourite rock songs :D

  • @TheSparkover don henley indeed, and you're welcome. classic song!

  • thats trippy...

  • I like the Retro Casio Digital watch :o) great vid lol???

  • @muzikman2008

/\._./\ Those question marks have no place at the end of that sentence???

  • you should try a Virus C or B, they sound better than the TI if you look darker sounds. Nonetheless, I like the sound of the TI

  • 7:18 sick lfo sound

  • I love that. "Words and music unknown" But there's the music and there are the words. I always suspected that religion would slip up and reveal, nay, declare itself to be self-contradictory. I'm still trying to figure out what a demonoid/martianoid and a blackface Jerry Mahoney have in common. Except maybe the puppeteers are smoking the same peace pipe, if you know what I mean. I'd like to see Jexus create a full length feature film. You listening, man? It would be mind blowing.

  • And this is the freakiest of the lot. I'd get a TI keyboard just because it looks like it ought to be on the bridge of Picard's Enterprise, and because of this hallucinogenic video. Who needs acid when we have Jexus? I really need to spend more time playing. Music IS the foundation of reality itself. How many religions relate songs to creation myth? Now physicists and mathematicians are looking for superstrings that vibrate to form mass and energy out of nothing. Reality is music is reality.

  • At 5:10 I was wondering when Don Henley was going to jump in.

My favorite demo sessions are from WC Olo Garb. Kids... Don't try this at home.

  • this is wild fun!

  • Why don't you make a Virus soundset?

  • That video is brilliant, well done.

  • nice, like all The Knife stuff. Do you think they used default patches? These sound really close.

  • Your videos are a feakin trip. Love em.

  • Ok, effen awesome video. Thanks... srsly.. wow

  • 15:32 minutes in the sound is amazing!

    I want to buy

  • he must wear Rolex xD, 2300€ for this Baby. i need a better job

  • what's the name of the song at 5:13?

  • i am pleased that one of David Liebe Hart's puppets worked his way into this video ! awesome video as always. your blofeld video has almost sold me on that synth, it would be replacing an ms2000 and polysix. thank you for making the choice easier!

  • @donaldjasoncrunk Salame!

  • 1 demo from you on the Access Virus is far enough! Not that i don't like it but people who can't make their idea on a synth with one demo (as long as it's good) are the same kind of people who can't decide to pick up a girl all alone like a real man!

More likely because we need you to move directly to the MEK demo!!! Very soon!?

Come on come on come on! Thumbs up! =8D

  • great player.. horrible synth, well that comment made me laugh out loud,

possibly the best virtual analog synth ever made !!

i do wish this guy would can the wierdo video stuff and just concentrate on delivering the sounds

  • @suffolknwatt Some guy actually called this synth "horrible" ? This guy should never use the word "synth" in his life ever because obviously he doesn't know a damn thing about them if he thinks the virus is a horrible synth.

  • i think he did the gaga just to show how easily recreated it is.

    great player, horrible synth.

  • piękny sprzęt jak i brzmienie <3 !!

  • Great demo of a great synth.

  • Yeh.. I would never go back to this synth. Was my first synth, got to know it inside out. Would never go back to it again.. it has no presence. No life. it sounds like an amiga.

  • @urizen1

I love how the Amiga can sound - Turrican 2 as example?!?!?! No Life?

  • holy crap that was lady gaga in 14:10, that was so not-jexus style.

  • @zaiten2012 Well, he does, in fact, refer to this synth as "REMARKABLE FOR BEING: the Lady Gaga of synths".

Which I can totally agree with.

  • @zaiten2012 he often plays mainstream stuff, btw gaga got admit explore synth weird stuff pretty well into their tracks

  • Its too bad you dont retail these sounds <3

  • It's one of the synths (and all from Access) that I wouldn't take for free...worse than a good VST. lol Nevertheless it's interesting to check the demo so that I can be sure in my opinion; good job as always!

  • cool demo

  • lol great intro!

  • BUSY CHILD!

    dobre dobre :)

  • 10:46 it's hebrew

some bitch is nagging for some patience

  • Give us a soundbank of these sounds!

  • love this !

    thx

  • New technology instruments - Like its unique sound..

  • I agree 100% with you on this one, and I would be tearing my hair out if I were for any reason forced to have a virus as my only synthesizer. Still, I would have a really hard time parting with mine, for what it is. The effects really are something.

  • 11:00 Future sound of London ?

  • the german access "trancehupe" sounds like shit .... :P

  • @kovacs111078 Hmmmmm NoooopE!

  • @coverupify

The Virus has a very distinct sound....some love it, some hate it.

To be fair, it is a great synth and has alot of things going for it. It's best used in moderation. In my opinion its best 'sounds' include etheral film score/soundscape, pads, FX and ARP's. Everyone has different tastes...some use it exclusively for dance/trance music, some try to use it for 80's type stuff and some use it for soundtrack. Check out 'Ran Kirlian - Diaspora' to hear its ambient side.... you like?

  • if you don't like sonic character of virus - its no fun..

  • This synth doesn't sound very special compared to the other things you've done... I don't hear the same "edge". I wonder if you had fun making this video?

  • @DIGITALSCREAMS YUUUUuuuuuuuP!!!

  • 10:09 is just brilliant!

  • Great stuff! And I don't hear a single sound I couldn't use...

  • 6:33 = Rammstein Ich Will, ir ri hershna CONTROLIRRRR lol good shit

  • What movie at 9:20 and 15:28. He's talking about me. :(

@Keybern Possibly someone being interviewed in a penelope spheeris movie? Even if it's not her The Decline of Western civilization 1 and 2 are worth watching.

@R31Bi Make a weird synth demo! As long as it's not with a modular(modulars do weird by default) :) and not with a camera phone, it'll be fine.

  • Jexus - I made a few interesting sounds on the TI. Would you like me to email you the .mid file?

If you like any of them (about 20 sounds in total) then you might feature one in your video?

I made a couple of interesting soundscape/film score pad sounds...which I think you might like.

  • I've been onto Jexus's webpage (his official homepage) and ive read his review of the virus. I think he makes some valid points - some of which I dissagree with.

Ultimately, the virus is a unique sounding synth. Alot of people have a love/hate relationship with it....but atleast it invokes something. I find most modern synths increadibly dull and boring. Atleast the virus has a certain je ne sais quoi about it...

You need to turn up the volume to hear it sing - its very low in the video

  • @DIGITALSCREAMS i agree most people perceive loudness as quality or depth...or most cliche of all phatness and warmth its odd but unfortunately something we have to deal with. The virus has character but its all left for you to control...its init path is very dry and uncoloured because of the sheer volume of directions you could take it. Give it time and it grows on you...i can tell its not to jexus' taste though...this was very uninspired. I cant wait for part 2.

  • 22:14

    Daft Punk, nice

  • I'm not really excited of this video as I own already a Virus TI... but each time WC Olo Grab announces he is going to demo a synth, I'm SO eager to watch it. It's a soundscape trip, a real review of a world of sounds, he does it right, ROUGH & EXOTIC! He has the tastes too: DM, The Knife, NIN, Goldfrapp, New Wave/Synthpop classics... Not Lady Gaga though LOL, I just don't mind her. Goooooood is so Goooooood!... HAHA!

  • Finally :D

  • The clips duration is 23:55 - the illuminati are everywhere!!

  • i love your work

  • Glad you found it finally:)

  • get busy child! 13:07 !

  • dużo noża! fajnie

  • Who's the freak in the beginning of the vid ?

  • Fuck you, Virus TI demo ! I lost my booze because of you !

  • Jexus I love your videos...in some parts they are crazy...I just love the creativity.

    Check out 17mins 22seconds onwards....hahahahahaah

    Thumbs up m8

  • Knife, and then Shining - two huge tribute orgasms.

  • 9:45 :)

  • Fuck yeah so good!

  • @Charles33333 I am not arguing, nor making a statement — I was being over-dramatic. Calm down...

If you have an Alesis Andromeda which you think needs 'f***ing', however, I will happily take it off your hands :D

  • Wow really cool love one

  • sweet

  • Sweet. I love the Virus. I want one badly.

  • Do you play with the presets or create your own sounds? Do you sell soundbanks for any of the instruments you play? Love you sounds and video edits :)

  • @thesidewayzone

    No, yes, and never.

  • << and that I could actually make a wannabe video about those weird, less than usable and unpolished sounds.

But, "there's more demos ahead", so my comments are quite pointless as of now. This showed some of the strenghts (and possibly defects) highlighted in the reviews, I hope the others show some more maniac sounds.

  • @ sacredgeometry, i have my own taste thank you...:) but yes i do take JEXUS word on some synhths. he has never let me down yet with the 12 i bought because of him. the virus is not for me in my opinion is all. and i knew it was not one of his favs as well. i would rather have other synths is all i'm saying. i just did not care for this video of the TI . it was a first for me with JEXUS. i don't feel i need the TI. my other synthsr sound better IMHO. jexus likes others better as well.

  • This is actually one of the very, very few videos by you that I felt I didn't like as much as others. Many sounds were sort of "boring" and "worn" compared to other of your videos, and not so representative of what "a man can to with the machine". It's a 4 stars in relation to your other 5s, though.

  • @R31Bi

He feels the same way about the TI. In his review he explained that.

  • @VectronMusic yep, I know. But what I find in Jexus' videos is that he can use some weird, particular sounds in musical fashion. He knows how to make those screams make sense, IMHO. The Virus can actually make those crazy, "unusable" noises (without even trying hard) and I was looking forward to hear what Jexus could make of them. Instead (again IMHO) this video shows some "more traditional" sound design. Perfectly understandable but a tiny bit disappointing to me :) I wish I was *that* good >>>

  • @R31Bi I agree. But like the other guy said, I just dont think he was "feeling" this synth. Of course, everything he does is always good though.

  • Virus review at last..It was worth the waiting for sure..Nasty work Jexus

  • Great entertainment, thanks again Jexus for outstanding performance. Thumbs up!

  • Faggots, stop spamming the comments with your "OH SO HELPFUL" opinions and shit. You dont fuck in public or do you ? Cheers.

  • priceless entertainment...again

  • @Charles33333 I agree, its completely idiotic. All purists do is limit themselves whilst everyone else is out creating new innovative things with all the available tools...old and new they just stick to what they are comfortable with. When people spurt out that cliche "analogue vs digital", "vinyl vs wavs" bullshit all i read it as is "I am too stupid to appreciate two things at once" or " I am a sheep and I read on the internet that one was better" sorry for dumping that rant on you.

  • @Charles33333 I concur, to be honest I love old analogue synths but for me personally the andromeda always sounded bland and boring. The virus is much more characterful / powerful / fun.

  • yet another solidly entertaining video my friend. The randomness is great - nice work. I love my Ti - but I wish I could program the farkin thing well. Not as straightforward as most synths.

  • Nice to watch a new vid again J, im not familiar with TI,In my opinion Waldorf and Nord's are more agressive, more melodic instruments in the VA world... btw I hope you are fine man, cheers!! big huggs bro!!

  • NIN at 14:40 Cool!

  • The Knife reference is good.

  • You seemed to have enjoyed the Q more going by the sonic energy of the respective demos.

  • 13:07 to 13:46

    Absolute Genius!!!

Instant RAVE days memories and a urge feeling to dance.

That bassline is asking for a big kick!!!

  • @djphootz

Its actually a song by the crystal method

  • 13:07 to 13:46

    Absolute Genius!!!

  • The highly anticipated... most rewarding... dada synth explosion...

~ as could only be realized by the name sake of such things.

Haha! Okay, obliquely hinting at some kind of spiritual V/A advent,

is maybe, taking it a little far out there. But man, it was!

  • So yes what this video does is show how full of shit all the Virus nuthuggers are. The sounds here are far less interesting and inspirational than just about any other Jexus video.

  • @aikighost Ha this is coming from a man who favs reason vst! You only wish you can get your hands on the virus....

  • @LizardBonerKING Dude I haven't used reason in years. My favourite bit of kit is my machinedrum which I use in conjunction with NI maschine and komplete 7.

  • 21:08.... Here's JOHNNY!

  • 14:14 HA I literally LOLed

  • @ajantred And then I was satisfied at 17:36

  • Never liked the Access Virus sound. Sounds like a soft synth plugin.

    Analogue forever!!

  • @subclonk It's matter of taste.

These are all tools to explain what is on your mind.

    Peace!

I like everything because it's all different.

  • @OutnumberedKreation Everything isn't all different though is it. I like unique instruments. I just don't find the Access to sound unique. Juss my own personal view.

  • @subclonk No problem at all mate.

  • LOL too much KNIFE!

  • OH MY GOD A NEW JEXUS VIDEO!111111

  • There's a bit in here that sounds like Don Henley. That pleases me immensely.

  • The first minutes with high reso filters remember be somehow of Waldorfs...

  • @javiceres I mean just the first 2 minutes.

  • Ok, let's see what this baby can do without FX...

  • wow..a first for me. this one did nothing for me. glad i did not buy the virus ti. your still the best JEXUS. i would rather have my ms2000 and blofeld kb.

  • wow..a first for me. this one did nothing for me. glad i did not buy the virus ti. your still the best JEXUS.

  • @009relic1 its got nothing to do with the synth, just his subjective feeling towards it. Dont judge things by other peoples taste, develop your own :P I was actually surprised that he made more boring patches than i normally make using the TI. I guess its one of those synths that grow on you, i initially didn't like the sound thinking like he did that it was dull. But with the right tweaking i have noticed that you can pull the sound in pretty much any direction.

  • boys of summer - hahaha, nice!

  • 14:29, isn't that the main synth section of "No You Don't" by Nine Inch Nails...

  • @lynx1138

its "The Wretched" by Nine Inch Nails. You can also find "Ich Will" by Rammstein at 6:30 and "This is the new shit" by Marilyn Manson at 13:46 and 14:15 rewards you with the sounds of "Poker Face" by Lady Gaga.

  • @Gaarnek1994 You got it!, I knew I had heard that synth line somewhere...

  • 6:33 Ich will :D

  • 6:33 Ich will :D

  • Its a great time to watch your specially vids. , i‘am wondering about your video cutting tricks, you are one of my favorite youtuber.

  • Noooooo!... You should've got the Alesis Andromeda instead! :)

  • was that some gaga?

  • Great demo, loved the Crystal Method lick, thanks for the post.

  • Great Demo ! Also the video , Oliver Stone would be proud ! 5*****

  • @Charles33333 agreed !

  • 7:50 I'M DANCING FOR DOLLARS <3

  • 12:0 is amazing!

  • @sabamacx 12:10 that is.

  • It roxx !

Please make us a "FUCKING GAGA KILLA" commercial CD ;)

  • achtung achtung, dojcze muzik von ramsztajn on di beste dojcze zyntesazja!

und zome zamplez von vell geknownen tranzvestite madschen gaga AKZESS VIRUZ IST DIE ELEKTRONISCHE MUZIK VOLKSVAGEN! JAAAAA!

  • Thank you, thank you very much for this video ! I expected since a long time a video of you with a Virus !

I tried one yesturday, I felt in love !
