Not to be mean but of all the DQ characters to choose from Keifer would have to be my least favorate though Ive never played the DQ 7 but from what Ive seen it doesnt realy feel like a Dragon Quest game more like a genaric RPG as well as Keifer is jus tthere in the begining they he takes off to be with a girl, what kind of adventure is that.

Well it was long ago when the translation was new but basically there's a scout class and a Monster Soul Oracle(?) type that converts monsters into ... 'wagon people'. Since you want small 'wagon people' (so you can fit more in the aforementioned Wagons) You Basicly run around with this Oracle type converting monsters.

The scout listing actually lines up perfect with the soul list so you can suss out which monsters turns into what Wagoneer. The game is really odd, I loved it.

Wasn't that Castle theme from Dragon Quest 2? There was another DQ2 theme also in there if I recall correctly.

Anyways this looks interesting. It's good to see games or versions of games those bastards didn't release outside of Japan. Thank goodness for fan-translations:D

@veteran0121 Yep, the themes come from the DQ2 game. As you will find out tomorrow this world is actually the world of DQ2.

Randoll actually does do something in battle-he will "Improve (Monster)'s footwork", which I believe makes it easier for the monster to either dodge more often, or miss less often, should it ever happen. I'm still not entirely sure.

When your in a dungeon type area, are the battle encounters like in this forest. Or is this a one time thing?

@PazurutheBefuddled Yep, this game is pretty unique and you don't see man people play this one. I like the fact that hero is Kiefer and you are in the land of DQ2.

@Lonewulf321 Somewhat of a prequel to Terry's story, since by Dragon Quest 6 Terry is an adult, not a young child. But yes, they are connected.
