  • 0:23 UFO !!!

  • remids me of my camping in a jugle when i didnt have toilet roll and thats exactly how i cleaned my "poop shoot" area.

  • actually he did manuel spoilers , didn't arm it !! :)

  • stupid Airbusses stupid joysticks, buy Boeing!

  • ...back to FSX?

  • thats why there should be no women pilots, kiddin' :)

  • @bornmago

thats why there should be MORE female pilots, seriously! :)

  • He forgot to land the nose wheel which is part of the landing!

  • still an airline with the world's finest pilots.

  • He came in too slow and cut thrust at wrong time. Over all bad landing but good that he did not hit the tail.

  • atleast u said almost in stead of "tail stike crash no survivors bla bla bla bla"

  • what is at the background at 0:23

  • @SingaporeAirflyer control tower

  • nikka wtf the poilot think he doing mhadd retartedd he need to qo to plane skewl

  • remind me not to fly tunisair

  • forget about the pilots, imagine how the passengers felt?

  • He came in way too fast, the plane bounced.

  • @satorianaide

Wrong. He came in at the correct speed , he was to high. Therefor he had to land further down the runway , therby losing more speed which requiers more flare.

  • flare reduces speed, not the other way round

  • Lucky pilot...........

    There a UFO at 0:23

  • lolz a ufo

  • @yazpaul LOL its a weather ballon

  • @yazpaul is called a BIRD

  • someone should kick the pilot's ass!

  • Lol, you're either stupid or retarded. Who does a "flight test procedure" that would risk damaging a multi million dollar piece of equipment? Ever heard of simulators? Also, tailstrike tests are performed by the aircraft builder, not pilots of a commercial airline. And tailstrikes may happen at take off only. Here it happens at touchdown, so it's obviously because of a bad manoeuver!

  • This jerk flared too much . bad piloting !

  • Call him a jerk? I will call you a douche bag and an asshole.

  • 0:17 WTH

  • close 1..........

  • Agreed. I don't think the standards in Africa are that stringent for pilots. Bad flying.

  • Maybe the pilot is drunking

  • Luk at it bounce off the tarmac at 0:18... luckily it stayed on course.....

  • ok...this was simply bad piloting. they were probably anxious to land, maybe one of them wanted to go to the toilet or something. PIC wasn't properly focused on the job and they should face penalties just for the fact that they had their mind somewhere else

  • Maybe it was just a young unexperienced pilot who overflared one of his first landings?

  • It's a quite rough landing.

  • Maybe the plane was extra heavy.

  • I was in a plane that experienced a tail strike and I was in the last seat. I thought it was all over. I will not fly now in the rear of a plane.

  • joystick for gay pilots? lol

  • Why the fuck would you post such a fucked up comment

  • airbus sucks

  • It's sidestick in airbus, not joystick.

  • Same Thing lol xD

  • i agree with all the airbus haters boeing is the Action lol. but dont think for one moment as a pilot u get offered a job u wont fly airbus lol lol

  • The plane wouldn't have crashed if he had hit the bottom. They would just simply have had a few nicks and scratches. Tail strikes have happened before.

  • a few nicks and scratches? you mean a grounded jet for months on end.

  • Not Really... it wouldnt have been that violent if it was a tail strike .... Joemccormick is right

  • Comment removed

  • did he pull back on the stick?

  • he actualy didn t pull down the stick soon !

  • I think it would be better to just get the plane on the ground (hard or not) rather than risk scraping the bottom up :P

  • It's a really great video :)

  • this is why humans will be phased out of piloting in the future.. i wonder though- how safe would u feel in an aircraft without a pilot? maybe just someone on the ground somewhere monitoring it along with 2 or 3 other aircraft.

  • I don't think it was ALMOST a tail strike, but rather that it WAS, because I heard a scraping sound during the tail strike.

  • Yeah it was fucked up and it bounced after a hard touchdown so so it was a tailstrike.

  • yeah my dad is a captain and he catches first officers over flareing trying to save a bad landing, the best thing to do is to just plant it.

  • on what plane is he a captain?

  • 737-700 and 800s

  • WHOE , that was a bit scary, and a rough landing.

  • that pilot is fired/suspended/demoted/or license revoked

p.s. how inexperienced do you have to be to not be able to land an a320 smoothly.

  • It will have been a stupid mistake because he wouldnt have been given ATPL and A320 ratings if he couldnt land it

  • All you have to do is turn on your catIII autoland :)

  • Not all airports are CATII or III equipped.

  • hey drummfly was hast du gegen Araber....ahhh vielleicht besteigt einer von denen deine mama und spielt mit ihr bruchlandungen im bett

  • my lil 2 year old cuzin can make bttr landing =0

  • hup video

  • he lands to fast. don't forgot the flaps at the inside.

  • Lol.Thats ALMOST Tailstrike!

  • That dog barking at the end there is going "ZOMG! sparkless tailstrike! That landing was shithouse!" but in dog bark language.

  • drummfly, was soll Dein Kommentar?Ich kenne mich mit TU gut aus und kann Dir aus zuverlässigen Quellen vermitteln, dass die Piloten sehr gut ausbildet sind und sie unter sehr harten Voraussetzungen rekrutiert werden! Tunisair geniesst einen sehr guten Ruf was Sicherheit anbelangt. Also erspar uns Vorurteile. Es gibt immer wieder Zwischenfälle mit Seitenwind. War der LH Pilot in Hamburg im Februar auch ein Araber??

  • I was fly with Nouvelair Tunisie, a A320 too!!! And the landings was very smooth!!!

  • Fucking idiot!

  • You should go fly with hitler then..

  • 'he don't can fly an Airbus'?

The use of correct spelling and grammar can improve your chances of employment, and can one day lead to leaving the loving care of your parents or even marriage if you so desire.

    Good luck, and godspeed.

  • In fairness, English is not every YouTube commenter's native language.

  • Wow you got a thumbs down for saying the truth. We got some dumb people on youtube.

  • the pilot pull back on stick to much during landing and i thing he use the speedbrake manually ... watch the back of the plane it's so close to the ground !!!

  • I believe you can leave the "almost" out of the title. That tail hit.

  • If the tail hits, there would be sparks

  • Not if it just touched and the plane lost a bit of paint.

  • Plus, you can actually hear ithit.

  • that is just some windshear or smthin, you also hear it in other parts of the vid.. But furthermore im not sure, but I guess it shld have shown sparks, cos even if it hits softly, it just scrapes pretty bad!

  • i'm still not convinced. I honestly believe (know) that not every tailstrike produces sparks.

  • kewl

  • A320's are prone to tailstrike when spoilers are deployed - there have been multiple incidents where the pilot uses enough sideways sidestick on takeoff to deploy spoilers on one wing - this reduces the lift enough that the aircraft tail hits the ground on rotation. There is an article floating around for you googleholics.

Anyway - this just looks like a bounced landing and maybe the co-pilot has deployed spoilers anyway mid bounce not realising, or wanting to kill lift.

  • The tailstrike rate for the A320 fleet is 2.7 occurrences. per million flight cycles.

A340-600 are prone to tailstrikes but the fleet of our a319's have never had a tailstrike

  • No need for name calling, but it does look like a high rate of descent at touch down. It was aircraft carrier-like. Only without the tailhook. :)

  • HA HA!

  • i just noticed that the touchdown was very positive, just look at the spolers on the wings, they came out with the first touch, it killed the lift of the wing otherwise the plane would bounce as a ball twice as higher then it did..

  • that is obvious mistake, pilot misused moving of the yoke, it's like when u'r driving instead of braking u push full gas, professional would never do that..

  • Nice Video

  • Pilot error. Looks like inexperience and perhaps a pilot height problem. Like, too short causeing over pull back on the yoke.

This is beginner dumb, pilot error.

  • euhm your dumb to say this really. You don't know the circumstances at all and 2nd a pilots job is always hard even if your a vet...

  • Ok fine, a pilots job is sometimes difficult.

This particular pilot needs training wheels.

    UbuntoO

  • You have no clue.

The A320 does not have a "yoke". It has a sidestick!

  • cocktail76,what a joke you are.

  • i think that the yoke is way better than the sidestick because it is nicer and easyer to use.

  • Boing!

  • stupit idiet

  • wow...idiot

  • the pilots who drive them planes are shit

  • Drive the plane? It's fly.

  • Hope Pilot lost his job!

  • that tails hits, you can hear it too

  • pilot is jerk

  • wow!!!!! just that close. :)

  • ohh shit this things got stop the pilote got stop

  • Time to put on line some C17 and 777 near mishaps.

  • Put those retards on the plane of your latest video...and another tragedy would had happened like in Brazil.

  • lol
