just watched this movie and i must to admit - it's BRILLIANT. Great camerawork, emotionally inspiring scenery, beautiful nature and a lot of world best climbers flimed.

reminds me of "Endless summer" (surfing movie which is a living legend) in some ways.

I am downloading this at the moment and I watched the first couple of minutes. I cannot get over that adam ondras belayer is shown multiple times giving a perfect example of how NOT to use a grigri.

big fail, in germany there is a big argument about the grigri and similar devices because ppl tend to use it wrong leading to accidents.

not if you disable the locking mechanism and that's what he (and others in the movie) are doing. if the belayer panics when the leader falls, it's possible that he doesn't let go of the grigri with his right hand and the leader decks.
