On 7:10-7:20 if you take the VERY first koopa you see ,jump on it ,put it in its shell ,grab it ,release ,it will take out all the enemies and might earn you a few extra lives,

the room with the third star coin there is a secret pipe in the top right corner. It will take you to a hall which requires a shell to do. once you get to the end, go through a pipe and you will end up outside keep going then and you find the secret exit. (it takes you to the World 1 cannon)

Here's a tip- on the first green mushroom house you take in the game (ONLY the first, there's a whole series, but I don't know it all.), the bowser card is on the third block from the right.

secret exit tip (1st castle): Collect 1ups and die. Repeat until a flying block appears. It mostly contains a shell. If not repeat.
