Hi Rachel. Thank you so much for showing the crackle paints on paper. I at least know which ones I will purchase immediately. I especially appreciate that you demonstrated how we can use glimmer mists on top of crackle pain.t Also, your art work is just beautiful. Look forward to more videos.
Hi Rachel. TY so much for showing the crackle paints..The distress crackle really does look the best option..easy to use and faster too..very imformative and helpful video..Jan. p.s TY so much for my rak..hugs janet
Thank you for taking the time to share this wonderful information with us! It is very helpful to those of us who have not yet used these. I own the picket fence and I have not used it yet. I really love your projects! They are all beautiful and the samples using the mediums were great too! Thanks so much for sharing!
Love knowing about the bleeding through of the Starburst stains into the picket fence....so very pretty! I am going to have to try that! Great samples...I always love the richness of your backgrounds....they pull me into the entire project. Thanks for the info and inspo!
A great help on showing the difference between the two product lines. I am anxious to try both. I am wondering if you could add mica to the Tim Holz crackle paint and not change the out come...might be fun! Lindy Stamp Gang has something new called Magical Micas that are mica powders kicked up a notch that might be fun to try. Great job! Keep sharing. You are a great inspiration.
you crack me up ".....I was just using up some scraps...!!!" Yeah, right, I WISH my scraps looked like that! I love, love, love your work! It's a breath of fresh air!
thanks so much for showing us the distress crackle paints and how to use the crackle medium! it's very helpful :)! love your wall hanging! awesome texture in the background! pretty tag! love your mixed media projects. thanks for sharing :)! do you put a layer of varnish over the crackled paint? i was wondering if it chips off. i only have the rock candy crackle paint and i noticed it could chip off. have a wonderful nite!*hugs* steph :)
You're right, it does chip a little, but I like it as it adds to the distressed look of the piece. I've not tried adding a varnish therefore, but I would suggest a spray lacquer rather than a paint on varnish - I think a thick brushed on varnish would assist in moving any loose crackle and would leave brush marks that you might not want. Most art shops sell spray lacquer, though cheap hair spray works just as well:-)
Love the 2 toned effect. I have some crackle medium that I bought a year or so ago never used it gotta try this hope it's still good to use. Oh loved that wall hanging. TFS!!
Lovely art work! Where did you get your clipart images?

loved your projects. Super cute wall hanging!
I like the crackle medium. I need to get some of that. The white and purple example, almost looks like tree bark, which I really like.
