  • dude the game is going for olympics in 2012 and ur telling its not a sport what big dumbass we have got and by the way ur "US considers driving really fast in a circle for 3 hours a sport." is called a circuit driving loser!!

  • @loser4071 Do I really have to reply with a profile name like that.

  • @loser4071 Besides those sports are sports it would be better to be in then to watch.

  • Comment removed

  • I am sorry but I can't really consider this a sports. This is a great training exercise for tennis players but not an actual sport. Then again in Canada we somehow consider cutting wood in a neat and quick fashion is also considered a sport. Oh and the US considers driving really fast in a circle for 3 hours a sport.

  • @UncleSamProduction canada sucks

  • @stubbyman15 Thanks for the well valid point. Next time pick a pencil up and get a education. Then give a little information why Canada sucks.

  • JP = is my fav killer piller after the Khans Era of the 80's & 90's. Maybe history will repeat itself, again ans again?

  • @atlidakis95 u failed ur whole life

  • i just came here to know how it is played..hehe

  • haha im the 1,000,000 view

  • shame its so boring to watch

  • @TheSwingKingOfDeath your boring.

  • @TheSwingKingOfDeath hmm i agree but its cool to play :D

  • amazing rally!

  • Too damn boring to watch!

  • @LeoCogni182 ur boring to watch

  • @Fernandez218 But i dont upload myself!! :/

  • @LeoCogni182 haha, good point. squash is not the most entertaining sport to watch, but after you play it for awhile and realize how difficult it is to execute the shots they do, you learn to appreciate it and watch it similar to tennis. unless raquet sports aren't your thing -- then that's cool .. just ur opinion.

  • @Fernandez218 Really? I personally think it's more similar to badminton rather than tennis due to the involvement of the wrist. ._.

  • @reignofcows i was relating squash's difficulty in terms of ending rallies with your opponent.. to tennis. but -- yeah, squash is similar to badminton in terms of mechanics.

  • @reignofcows Badminton is far more complex and intellectually stimulating, just have a look at some of the top viewed badminton videos on Youtube. You'd think that this video, being the most viewed squash video would be more interesting and not as repetitive.

  • Squash is soo much fun but soo dificult! And I agree with SLAHdaROCKER; Why isn't this in the goddamn Olympics? It's often so with "minor" sports. They get ignored. Same way with badminton.

  • what can i say like always jonathon power the master of squash . the best player of all times

  • @chicolocoify It's Jahangir khan dude

  • strange sport

  • 0:56 fucking niiiiiiiiice

  • @joshizposh1995 init m8

  • @nunzioforpresident obviously you have never played squash... its not easy playing like that.

  • They do make it look easy, I for one know that I wouldn't have even moved for the boast at 0:29.

  • @iamspartacus29 yeah they read it so well they know where the ball is going where as id have to wait to see where its going then run to it

  • the commentators are so boring...

  • i played Squash for the first time today it was really fun and really got a lot sweat :DDD

  • I love this sport. Just bought a head microgel 145 sweet. Dont judge me im still new to the sport. :D

  • @yourallstoopid TROLL LO LO!!!

  • @tehSemipaska no

  • It's hilarious that at a beginner/intermediate level that recovery: (56-58 seconds right before the end of the rally) would most likely bag you a point, and here it's basically worth nout! Great sport.

  • Fans of squash, you must see "Remi Gaillard-Squash". Enjoy!

  • SQUASH ! <3

  • All you gotta do is hold the the "T" lol.

  • squash is awesome-these guys are so good

  • bought a card for squash today ^^ 3 months i can play any day for 1 hour :D

  • And to the nerd that said they are drenched in sweat:

    1. you're creepy

    2. its because they would break a sweat checking the mail.

    3. because they are WIMPS, just like you, this isn't a sport, this is like watching gamers at a tournament, they aren't really doing anything, yet they act like they are winning the superbowl, zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

  • @Ravensontop or find something else to do than troll? what r u doing here anyways, ONLY to hit the ball with a racquet. ur lame. -.-

  • @voxz72

thats like a fat person calling me fat, somehow it just makes me lol

  • @Ravensontop 1: im not fat

    2: i play for fun.

    3: i never called u fat ...

  • I still see 2 wimps moving 3 feet and hitting a racket. It's a horrible sport and whoever got their nerd feelings hurt and replied to me should stop cutting and find a hug, or a real sport, rofl!

  • played for the first time yesterday. LOVED IT

  • @pats431996 fuck u dipshit squash is awesome are you a racquetballist?

  • @colelandes12345 yes i am a racquetballist

  • This would be so much more enjoyable if those announcers would be quiet. While attempted to tune them out, I got the impression that they were just talking just to talk.

  • That's the problem with this sport... Only those (few) who Play(Ed) squash recognize and appreciate what's actually going on. Which doesn't make it an instant hit as a spectator sport - just ask my wife ;) As for shape u can pretty much play in any shape depending what level u want to play.

If u don't play don't start- it gets addictive!! Lol

  • squash is the BOMB!!!!!

  • squash rocks you suck.

  • @juasmaa Racquetball is played with a bigger ball and the ball bounces a bit more than a squash ball. I've played racquetball quite a bit and it's good fun, but i'd love to have a go at squash too

  • haha, i typt in squash, i wanted to know what kind of sport this is. What a homo's!

  • @360BitchWii That's the kind of comment of people who don't play squash. Try once, and you'll forget about any sport else.

  • @360BitchWii Go fuck yourself i'de like to see you even try and play this game

  • This sport is so hard! When i first played, I couldn't hit the ball XD

But my parents want me to play because my friend got into Yale with a full scholarship because she is ranked #5 in her division for squash!

  • This is a very hard game when played with a skilled player trust me. Its so damn hard to get winners, takes much coordination

  • wth is this ???

  • because squash is more boring and less physically demanding than watching paint dry, the end. all 12 of you out there that actually play it, congrats on being better than the other 11 at taking turns hitting a ball... thats so hard

  • @Ravensontop less physically demanding? haha you have obviously never played it. its a very demanding sport, you have to be incredibly fit to play the game at a high level and even then you would still be drenched in sweat, get your facts right before making any more foolish comments

  • @Ravensontop it is actually one of the most physically demanding sports out there they just look like they arent moving because their foot work and perception is so good. Dont go and diss things you dont know jack about dumbass

  • Just came home from squash practise, it is an extremely good form of excerise. I love it, and @Gator115 You do need to be VERY fit! :D

  • You have to had played squash before to understand how incredible these guys are

  • @RainCards The thing with these level of players, they make the court seem sooo small. It is because they move so well.

  • me and my friend had a 10 min rally he won since i tripped while getting the ball

  • man i play squash and i love watching and getting tips from world rank squash players

  • i think that the ball souldn't bounce so much because even with a good shot the point doesn't end...

  • what is this terrain ? it seems to be small. but i may be wrong

  • @DoggyDoggyStyle It looks like so because of the camera angle

  • @drogbicc kk, but I was just wondering if it is American or European terrain. but finally im pretty sure it is european, its larger and less deep than american style. thanks

  • awesome

  • Who is the best player to ever live?

    I think the "wizard"

  • I too love this game and it's complexities!

I have been playing for 8 yrs and am up to a high b level!

Check out some of my videos against my head pro last week

  • dont understand this sport...what stops the guy 'accidently' getting in the way of the other guy and preventing him hitting the next point?...

  • @konvictz0007 because if you do it on purpose the point goes to the other player

  • is this dudes name really Power, thats siick

  • Barb Cooper This is just a fabulous example of how Jonathan was able to construct a rally stay focused throughout the point, and patiently wait for his opportunity and then to take it. You can see that Joanathan did not attack until he had Shabana reeling and then he hit the drop.

  • squash is stupid....

  • @tooootlee You must have enjoyed searching for and watching this video then

  • yea.. i did..

  • i always hav trouble getting back to the t in time coz im too busy watching where i hit it lol

  • I took squash as my gym course and I just finished playing for the first time. It is so much harder than I thought it would be lol, he seems like the balls they use bounce more than mine though!

  • @HabsFanTom The ball bounces better as it gets hot. It gets hot because they hit it hard and the ball is designed to convert energy into heat. Over the years the balls have been redesigned a few times to keep the amount of bounce down as the more modern rackets allow stronger hits.

You will find that the game is not just athletic, it is also subtle, and there are many levels of play ahead of you. The two in this video play patiently, looking for just the slightest advantage to convert.

  • is this sport fun?

  • @MRG325 very fun. I prefer it over tennis

  • Professional use 2 yellow .. balls. I am sure.

  • Anybody know what type of ball these guys are using/ what the pros normally use?

  • @mmlja123 i think the pros use double yellow dot balls. not sure though, i only recently started playing squash

  • WHY ISN'T THIS IN THE GODDAMN OLYMPICS!

  • @SLASHdaROCKER

because the olympics will deteoriate even more. im sorry mate. some people are still on edge cause they had handball it almost seems that pretty soon Wii sports will be in the olympics.

no offense. i think squash was meant to help tennis player get back to fitness same with handball and soccer players.

i think the olympics has to keep some conservativism to the games they present. if they go lollygaging then soon people will scream for Wii and playstataion for olympics.

  • @kumar01234

Completely retarded argument, I'm sorry mate. Squash is the epitome (look it up) of an olypmic sport compared to a) Tennis b) Golf c) Football just for starters, please read the requirements for Olympic inclusion before making outlandish statements like this again. It would also never be considered a way for tennis players to prepare, the two require vastly different skill sets.

  • @nickwales1978

    um

    no

i can get golf. but comparing squash with the likes of tennis and footy um noooo.

this is pointless if you're already convinced that squash is a hardcore sport

  • @SLASHdaROCKER because hitting balls against walls is nothing like shotput

  • @Chickasho yeah, because throwing balls on the floor is much better.

  • wow what a rally! damn they make it look easy lol

  • The professionals dont wear goggles! WHY DO I HAVE TO GET KICKED OUT OF YALE LIKE EVERY DAY FOR NOT HAVING EM ON!!!

  • Que deporte mas aburrido xD

  • @Darkvict92 no lo jusguez, yo pensaba lo mismo hasta que lo probe, y te juro que es un juego adictivo, casi tanto como los videojuegos, solo que real y mas divertido.

  • @Darkvict92 NO! Es muy emocionante!

  • whats the difference between squash and racquetball?

  • @Djayice25 there is quite a lot of difference actually ... for starters, in racquetball there is no lower limit on the main wall (like the tin in squash) ... the main wall n the side walls do not have any upper limit ... only the back wall has an upper limit usually 12 feet (i think) ... the ball in racquetball bounces MUCH more than a squash ball ... the racquets too have a different shape ... etc etc

  • @sudarshangopinath there is a lower limit exactly the same as the tin. The only difference on the front wall is the service line. You can serve anywhere above the tin in raquetball whereas you can only serve above the service line in squash. Other rule difference is that you play to 9 points instead of 11 and you can only win a point on your own serve.

  • i wonder are some ppl just stupid or stupid??the tittle itself said its squash and you guys still have to ask it?

  • all tuble lite espically matija50

  • almost every comment on here is retarded. this is squash. it is an unbelievably difficult sport. these are two of the greatest players ever. you could not beat them

  • Iam a squash player and this sport really needs speed, power and technique!

  • wooooo squash!!!! i love this game! especially since my best friend plays it and shes a girl

  • squash is awesome. these guys are incredible. its such a fun and exhausting sport to play.

  • This is squash dumbass I would know I have played with both of these guys

  • this is raquet ball and its a boreing stupid game

  • @yourallstoopid This game is actually squash your ignorant prick.

  • @yourallstoopid This is squash you ignorant prick.

  • @ClickThisUser raquet ball!

  • @yourallstoopid it's also spelt "racquetball" and a 4 second search of racquetball on youtube or google would prove you wrong.

  • @ClickThisUser no, im rite.

  • @yourallstoopid troll

  • @yourallstoopid Oops my mistake, I didn't realize you were a troll.

  • @ClickThisUser raquet ball is is like raqutsa saetete

  • wow i have no fuckin idea whats going on.i have no idea how to play squash

  • @ediie47 lol asme

  • I can see that Egypt is a good 'squash country' Look to Shabana, he is a very good example.

  • @hosamgmc ohhhkay if you've ever played raquetball you'd know how physically demanding it is. You need a ridiculous amount of stamina. And its actually harder to play when the ball is so bouncy.

  • @MikeOKiller

Yes, I know... I only said that Shabana is a good example for all people who want to be a good squasher.

  • @hosamgmc its because squash is an english sport , and egypte was a colonie of england and the english brought it to there so they are there from the beginning of squash

  • Raquetball is way better. It takes more skill.

  • racquetball takes not skills, its for ppl who are too out of shape to play squash. thats y the ball is so fucking bouncy

  • I completely agree with your comments about squash being superior to racquetball. While tennis is better from a spectator/TV standpoint than squash, squash is easier on the body for the most part. As a tennis player, I have had tennis elbow (sucks) and I now have a wrist injury to my non-dominant hand - from the wonderful two-hand backhand shot. Tennis players have more injury to their knees as well. Hip injuries are more common to squash than tennis.

  • @mrbobevans In the words of my docter, Squash is the single most dangerous sport in terms of developing sports injuries. Although, I suppose Squash becomes less dangerous when your better at it, and the opposite for tennis. Anyway, what do I know, I'm from Canada where the sport is not that popular. I play 3 times per week but we never see it on TV, and the only player we've ever heard of is Jonathon who is from my home town, and runs a school out of my club.

  • @StumpyClark3217 it is dangerous because the ball is the same size as the socket of your eye, and the ball travels really fast and you can get in someones way easily, this adds up to a few casualties where the ball hits ur eye and detaches your retina. but it is illegal for under 18 to play squash without wearing squash goggles. and in my opinion everyone should have to wear them cos onemistake and ur out for the rest of u r life

  • I've noticed that some players occasionally touch the wall with their hand in between the games (though not specifically on this vid...). Could anyone pls explain to me what it is for? Thanks

  • It's to wipe the sweat off your hand, to get more of a grip on the raquet.

  • Can anybody tell me why they never play a really light shot? Like just lightly dink it in to the corner? So your opponent has to sprint to get to it?

    Cheers.

  • @lilalcoholicbreck Lighter shots (drop shots) are most often used to kill the ball straight away like the last shot of the video. They're very difficult to play from the back of the court. If you get it wrong then your opponent has most of the court to aim at while you're out of position. Tactically they're not really worth it, especially against pros!

  • Comment removed

  • sorry, not the last shot, i meant 0:58.

  • great sport!!!! im number 4 in canada for my age division and its a whole lot of fun.

  • One of the announcers keeps talking about rankings. Who cares - nobody gave a hoot about rankings when Sampras played Agassi.

  • amr shabanah is a spectacular squash player which its fields will never witness again .

  • Hahaha no sport is suck.Every Sport is cool and who say something other is not a jock

  • Greatest Sport - Awesome.

  • @mrbobevans LOL where's the video of the little asian guy getting pawned?

  • @hasenasaba so you clearly dont have a girlfriend, cuz you tried to tell everyone you do, but you dont

  • @hasenasaba

It's a pity your gf doesn't perform fellatio on you...;)

  • i know shabanna :)

  • the backhand boast was nice

  • la dejada del final es espectacular... uno de los mejores detalles técnicos que he visto... increíble...

  • @isidropm he was

  • only a tit who does not play would post a comment like that!

  • shabana is the best

  • As a spectator, the style of play in squash in much more difficult to differentiate than tennis. The strokes of Connors, McEnroe, Borg, Lendl, Federer, Sampras, Agassi, Edberg, Becker, Nadal, etc are easily recognizable.

    Squash strokes are less recognizable.

  • i suppose your right but i have been watching and playing squash for a while and i can now recognise the different styles of the top players.

  • Does a counterpuncher in squash use different strokes and positioning than an attacker.

  • "...your right"? fucking illiterate hick!

  • To paly squash you have to be extremely fit. As the saying goes get fit to play squash don't play squash to get fit

  • @Rulesquash i hav never heard that... BUT IT IS SOOO TRUE... i go play squash with my dad erally often so i know its true :)

  • @Rulesquash Really? lol Im playing squash to get fit. Im Overweight but damn it's good cardio. Even though i don't play it right. Just rallying with friends OMG i Drop pounds of sweat. I think it's a great way to get fit

  • @Rulesquash

I know what oyu are saying but thats not exactly true.. You can play squash if you are unfit but you will have to rely on your shots ie like dropping/boasting from serve etc.

I have a 70 year old friend still playing and I can assure you he lacks fitness!! :)

  • @Rulesquash There's nothing wrong with playing squash to get fit. You don't have to play a sport well to get a good work-out from it, and with practice you get better.

  • @Rulesquash

Nah, you dont have to be extremely fit at all...

  • @Rulesquash

Yeah you're right, it's very good excercise, and yes, you do need to be fit, but saying u need to be fit to play squash is wrong. I started playing squash, and 3 months later, with NO other form of excercise, i am in the best shape of my life :D

  • @Rulesquash Well I'm playing to get fit and it's working

  • i didn't even know there was a sport called squash i always thought it was a nasty vegetable!!! haha but it actually looks really fun!!!

  • well aren't you the fucker you asshole!!!
