@SpokenVerse I understand it. I was just; surprising/related; to that feelings and restrained of the poem. When i was station to san Diego; Aspects of my demeanor were reflected on in the poem. that's all
well i can certainly identify with the sentiment expressed in this writing, it reminds me of flaubert's madame bovary and the hopeless feeling of unrequited passion. thanks kindly , take care
Actually read this one to a perspective girl friend once. I guess she thought she was the girl in the Gingham dress. She turned out to be just as mad as the rest. Ha! Ha! Personally the quiet ones get boring after a while and you start looking for a fight just t see if they are still paying attention.
@Obnubilated I try to match the mood of the poem. How successful I am is hard for me to tell. Some readings require gravitas. I try to cover a variety but poetry tends to be concerned with serious topics.
@SpokenVerse I noticed you gave the Scots dialect quite a fair go on the poem; "To a Mouse" by Robert Burns. It was alot better than my English teacher sitting butchering the dialect infront of a class of native speakers. I must say.
beautiful. I"ll sub.

I can't help but wonder if the increasing trend of whores is just an american thing.
Where do I have to travel to escape these ex-prostitutes?

I'm almost ashamed to admit that this is the first I have ever heard of Charles Bukowski... I shall certainly be looking for more of his work.
Your channel continues to impress me.

This one is quite Whitman-ish, at least from my point of view.

...this poem is autobiographical in his mind I'm sure...but as poetry....it's the kind of stuff I can appreciate....I have seen it in practice...sad

Your voice seems noticaebly gloom-filled in your last two readings.
Is something wrong? I hope not.
Or is this intentional? It does add a melancholic feel, which I think works great.
