I love the part from 3:51 to 4:48 :) I think it's hilarious when the dad kisses the mom on the cheek, and she waves sweetly at him when he walks out, and as soon as he is out of sight, she wipes off the kiss with a disgusted look on her face xD And I love the 'have another drink my dark eyed beauty etc.' part :D I just love this song <3
@oOTheWondrousStrange Heh you should have seen my orchestra class. We all sat down to listen to this and once it hit :24 every single one of the first violins groaned XD It was hilarious.
@ReasonFalling My class made that part a trio of me and two other kids 'cos no one else could do it without sounding like a "coke-addicted cat screaming for death". Those were the exact words of our instructor -__-
One time, a high school band tried to decide which overture was more epic: Phantom of the Opera, Les Mis, or Wicked. So, they decided to combine the three and played them all at the same time.
I could have stolen the "how many people dislike this and what they do" joke, I could have stolen the "Justin Beiber disliked this" joke. But no, I decided your joke was the only joke worthy of stealing.
Why shouldn't we mourn the wicked? Elphaba was my favorite charachter. Glinda should at least mourn her. They were friends. *SIGH* Nothing makes sense anymore. I will mourn the wicked.
@girfulness Glinda DOES mourn her. Inside she is devastated but on the outside, she is pretending to go along with everyone else because she's the public figure of "good" and that they don't hate her like they did with Elphaba. If you remember in For Good, Elphaba says for her to not mention her name and let her keep being for what she is otherwise they'll want Glinda dead as well because they'll feel she betrayed them. I don't know exactly if that's the reason but it makes sense that way.
@TheCamoTurtle Oh yes!! Yes you must!!! I saw this and you know what, the atmosphere is just unbelivable, i'll tell the truth even tho you'll call me weird, my bf had to force me out of the theatre, literally, he picked me up and dragged me home!!! I fell in love with it! The songs were spinning round my head and i couldn't sleep all night, then we paid 120 pounds to go back and see it the nest day!! I cried when i went home cause we were on a study trip to London so i cried the whole way home!!
@snowyangel97 I have to, or my life will not be complete, I already saw phantom of the opera at the Pantages 2weeks ago...my parents paid 40francs per person when they went to london, LUCKY, I want to go to London! D":
@emopinata12345 Really? Because unless they get the original cast to do it, then it wouldn't give this Musical justice.... But that would be pretty epic!!!!
My school is doing some songs here for a parade and I fell in love with this right when I heard this song! We're gonna go see it in April on Broadway <3
I just saw Wicked performed on tour in Boston . . . absolutely blew my mind. I can't imagine how much more spectacular it would have been with the original cast, with Idina and Kristin belting it our up on stage. . .
Don't you just LOVE how Glinda has the gall to spread the "good news" and question what makes people wicked, when it was pretty much her fault that Elphaba had so much misfortune in her later life?
@MaakaKarin17 I guess that's debatable. I've never actually seen Wicked, but it sounds like Morrible, the Wizard, and her parents caused Elphaba a lot more pain than Glinda. I genuinely think Glinda is a wiser woman by this point, though, which may give her the right to question people..? Meh.
I have never seen this musical. But my music teacher played some of the songs in class and I knew this song so when he played it, I started singing along. I sang the whole song including the scream at 4:46-4:48. I sang it beautifully. But he still wants me to sing a song from a musical. But it can't be this song.
