  • this could have easily been a Who tune first!

  • Roger was handy with his fists. Elton was more of hissy fit merchant rather than a 70s boover boy!

  • @cozener1 Elton was not more of a hissy fit merchant rather than a 70's boover boy it was the opposite actually. NEVER SAY ANYTHING MEAN CUZ I KNOW A FRIEND WHO'S THE VICE PRESIDENT OF NIGEL OLSSON'S FAN CLUB AND SHE'LL TELL ON YOU TO NIGEL WHO WILL THEN TELL ON ELTON!!!!!!! and you don't want that do you?

  • c'est la meilleure version de ce morceau! un feu d'artifice de talent , fabuleux keith! la locomotive de john ! les riffs saignants de pete et la présence de Roger ....long live rock!

  • Love the who and this version, thanke for the post!

    D~

  • Thanks sgtpepper41, I so enjoyed hearing this "Who'ed"song of this Classic !!

  • The Who's version can easily be compared to Elton John's original version!

  • That was.............AMAZING!!!! Our school did disco inferno today and that was in it. tHE WHO ARE MY ALL TIME FAVEOURITE BAND SO IT ROCKED!!!!!

    SAMMY

  • @pampam500 The Who is not fucking Disco. I would have gone insane if i was at your god forsaken school. The Who are NOT FUCKING DISCO!!! lol

  • @checklefthook it was a scene when they were planning to kill someone

  • clssic song

  • I like all three. LOVE the song!!!!!!!!!!

  • love the who , love elton

    hate this crappy version

  • Nice version for a tribute to EJ..Im just a sucker for Petes guitar, alittle synth.... EJs song, but definitely The Whos mark is on it

  • Townsend's guitar work is well up there - best version I ever heard of this apart from Sir EJ of course. Rock on - lol.

  • Elton did his own version of Pinball Wizard, so turnabout is fair. I will have to listen to this version a few more times to see if I can get into it. It lacks the earthy beat of Elton's version, it seems.

  • @VrgniaMailman Indeed, Elton's rendition of "PW" is amazing.

  • what year is this from?

  • what year is this

  • @MrMr1970dodgecharger 2011 ; )

  • I have to put this on equal terms with Elton Johns... Simply because this is a song The Who should have sung!

  • eltons was the best...dont really like this one at all

  • Greatest band!!

  • Just as good as the original. Nickelback's version sucks balls.

  • I like how they snuck in "Take Me To The Pilot" into it - Elton John snuck "I Can't Explain" into his version of "Pinball Wizard" back in 1975.

  • woooooooooooOOOoo,,,,neVER HEard this versION BEfore,,,,,,fuCKINBrilliANT,,,xxxx,

  • @nemotheband I applaud your taste in music. However your spelling is apalling. [Troll Alert]

  • Brilliant version!

  • Shoulda been done by the Who in the first place.

  • ugh. why is everyone fighting... just fucking listen. save the arguments for shitty youtube video's. Im here to rock.

  • @muzicsalesman Maybe it's Saturday ;)

  • @sgtpepper41 haha. goodness.

  • @muzicsalesman Amen! So getting back to the music: I'm unfamiliar with this Who album. It doesn't sound like Moonie to me on drums. Do you know who drummed on this?

  • @spercoco the album is Two Rooms: Celebrating the Songs of Elton John & Bernie Taupin. Im not sure who plays drums on it. Zac Starky (ringo stars son) toured with Daltry that year. so maybe it was him.

  • @spercoco Programmed drums....said so in the liner notes.

Moon was looooong dead by then. This came out in 1992, or so.

  • @muzicsalesman Well played!

  • @muzicsalesman Well played...but Mr. Pepper has the right idea, and this rocks hard. Long live rock.

  • ME ENCANTA ESTA VERSION!

  • Elton's is the best. Then Queen's. Then Nickelback's. Then this one.

  • @michigangirl1994 oh and Nickelback's version is pretty terrible.

  • @michigangirl1994 What?!? You like Nickelback's version better than this one? Although this does not have Keith Moon's badass drums, it still has Entwistle's bass, Pete's guitars and Roger's voice which does well justice for just being a cover. In fact, more than a cover this is a tribute.

  • @eskuAdradit0 I don't like either of them. I like The Who but I didn't think this was one of their better ones. I like Elton's and Queen's. That's it

  • @michigangirl1994 But still you had to put The Who over Nickelcrap, please....! Oh well, I guess everybody's got different taste on music, but I'm glad to see you my contemporaries listening to good music.

  • @michigangirl1994 But still you had to put The Who over Nickelcrap, please....! Oh well, I guess everybody's got different taste on music, but I'm glad to see you my contemporaries listening to good music.

  • @eskuAdradit0 - Kenny Jones did his best....a hard act to follow the Moon.....Starkey jnr would nail it!

  • I thought that the who wrote this originally!

  • i think the who is much good version.

  • i thnk this song is great. but i think nickelback did it really well, because of the anger. and if u listen to the lyrics, u can here how angry it is

  • @spiritbomber10 Nickelback's version is allowed(ALLOWED) to be called song, all other versions(who elton n queen) are solid gold art

  • It's a great cover, I think. The Who is definitely one of my favorite bands. I do have a bit of a biased opinion towards it, though. I mean since Elton's was the original and all, so by default I think I like his a bit better. Also, that and Elton's was the first version I've heard, so... yeah.

But still. They're both excellent, either way.

  • This is way better...fuck elton

  • @cmoretti04 hear the version of nickelback <3

  • @Eiskalt123 Man FUCK Nickelback, u dont know shit comparing gay ass nickelback to the who. Who the fuck are you

  • @cmoretti04 omg stfu. here are discussions about the best version (The Who vs. Elton John). And I'm just get a new word (band) in the discussion. You don't have to attack me with such words. Its just my opinion. Come down man -.-

  • @cmoretti04 He got told!!

  • @cmoretti04 whoooo are you ew ew ew ew I really wanna know, whooo are you k im done sorry :D

  • @cmoretti04 LMFAO. "Who the fuck are you" , you're my hero. :')

  • @cmoretti04 lol, probably some dumb fucking kid who has no idea what music is and just goes with whatever's "cool" and trendy at the time. Nickelback can't sing for shit.

  • @Eiskalt123 Oi dont mention Nickelback!!

  • @cmoretti04 Aww, hey now! It's Elton's song, man! That was unnecessary!

  • It is, it really is:D

  • This version is great. Though I am of the opinion that nothing's better that the orginial, espicially since I'm an Elton John fan But this version is absoultely great.

  • sweetness!
