@RicoAbdulProject i don't think it was him...it was some other guy who's not so popular...but i think he did it before michael and michael made thee dance popular
Michael Jackson took James Brown's advice and "put himself in the dance" that why Michael's dancing was so unique and not just popping and locking etc...
My dance teacher told me that wen James brown had a concert his dancers and his drumers etc would have to stop on point and if u don't he would make his hand like he is flicking something at you..the amount of times he do that..that is how much money u lost..u don't get paid..I wonder If Mj did that lls ..luv them both..R.I.P

If he continued boxing, I think he could have been one of the best pound for pound fighter ever! I know there's a lot more to it, but his quickness and energy would have been unequalled - can you imagine mayweather moving that fast? lol
@TroyConvers5000 you're not quoting facts there my friend! You're telling me something you heard. Did you ask any of his women?! He might have been the biggest woman beater in the world but the point is, we will never know the truth.I don't really care about the personal lives of musicians to be honest, if you found out every little thing about the artists in your cd, I don't think you'd listen to music again!
Please can somebody tell me who the girl is right at the end of this video..? I think it is Rosie Pérez, who played the character Tina in Spike Lee's film 'Do the Right Thing'. Am I correct?
Man they need to make a movie about him like they did Johnny Cash, Ray Charles, and the people from cadillac records ... like this man did so much for music and so much more for the people
The one an only James Brown an the Famous Flames. ( Bobby Bennett,Lloyd Stallworth(Baby Lloyd) an of course, Bobby Byrd. RIP, I stood in front of you many times, dancing an singing an time stood still for that moment. You inspired so many entertainers . We will always treasure you.!!

would've loved to see him in 1941 :P sounds like one of those legendary events, like Robert Johnson meeting the devil at the crossroads - aslo the guy at the end - I don't think education has anything to do with this sort of dancing, you definitely have to work it out yourself :P
every body will say MJ cuz he was in your time, but lets be honest James B was a serious mover. he would move his feet and dance to the beat. check at the part of this video and listen to the beat and check how James dances when the drum does the triple beat watch his right leg do a triple shake @ 1:43 come on lets be serious James opened many doors to todays acts.
MJ Coulve done that Dancemove And move his feet like that perhaps even better MJ imitated all of that when he was in the J5 . @SiisiiLovESMJ MJ imitates James Brown's steps dude, which means that ALL people who imitate MJ are going to imitate some James Brown steps at the same time. @Hemangohil I'm not saying MJ wasn't a good dancer, I'm just saying that there are many good dancers out there, and they are all good at what they do.
And for your information, 95% of MJs moves were not invented by him. He was taught them by many pioneers and dance artists of the street dance culture over many decades. He always gets credit for them because he was the first to bring them into the mainstream.
James brown was a SPECTACULAR Dancer. And Michael Jackson was a Mind Blowinq , BreathTakinq AMAZinq DAncer as Well. BOth were Fantastic and Amazinq. @unseensword damn straight, it ain't no competition...James came first, but that is only a function of time, not talent. MJ was incredible in his own right.
Michael was definitely more diverse. He had a greater range. He would explore all avenues of dance and movement. JB was more limited in range, but definitely the best at it. MJ learned a lot from JB. You can see it in the audition video when MJ was still a boy.

its pretty obvious that MJ took alot of his moves from his idols, notably JB, but most people would agree that MJ was the better dancer. Its just progress and improvement. There are probabaly people around today who are better than MJ at what he did.
Well yeah there are really are. Did you watch that Move Like Micheal Jackson show on BBC3? People are really taking his style of dancing to a new level.
Well i just cant stand idiots who only come on James Brown videos to make gay michael jackson comparisons. its usually white people who had no idea who james brown is before they heard his name come out if michael's mouth. no offence to whites but you guys need to shut the fuck up with the jacko stuff on a james brown biography

captainbees 2 years ago
Mj didn't take any moves from anyone. MJ always said that James Brown was his biggest influence. YOU CAN'T TAKE NOTHIN' FROM THE GODFATHER!

its pretty obvious that MJ took alot of his moves from his idols, notably JB, but most people would agree that MJ was the better dancer. Its just progress and improvement. There are probabaly people around today who are better than MJ at what he did.

Oh really? Yet to see anyone who can dance better than MJ and i honesty dont think i ever will.

@FlubsyMalone
Well i just cant stand idiots who only come on James Brown videos to make gay michael jackson comparisons. its usually white people who had no idea who james brown is before they heard his name come out if michael's mouth. no offence to whites but you guys need to shut the fuck up with the jacko stuff on a james brown biography
prettyboy0909 1 year ago
@prettyboy0909 hey i'm white and i come onto James Brown videos cos i like james brown and personally i prefer him to MJ. And i knew about JB before MJ
