  • 0:57 f up the system and go for the 3rd one. Nice

  • thee old cheap throw trick

  • I forgot to mention that Guile can do his air-throws jwhen umping backwards as well which is a real swine!

  • Perhaps the best abilities of Guile are his air throws & mid-air suplex. His range is massive and the damage is too. They're so affective as to seem almost unfair when you're up against a Guile player whose reflexes & anticipation are good. I see many opportunities to air-throw Ken in this video.

  • @KeldorDAntrell CT = Connecticut

  • @omray, Sadly, I'm never in Connecticut.

  • Guile specialist? Lawl, but still cool to see this fight, especially from 94, the good ol days.

  • @mitsuninja he who specializes in one character, is a specialist of that character. see description for details.

  • @omray He was questioning the guile specialist lol like how can he be a guile specialist when he got ownd. Just saying what that mitsuninja meant =D

  • The guy controlling Guile sure doesn't seem like a Guile Master! In Round 2 even a computer-controlled Guile would have air-thrown you a couple of times and he hardly ever even *tried* to flash kick you!

Guile has the reputation for being THE toughest fighter of all if mastered so I was really disappointed by this.

I can't say I'm impressed much your own fighting either but I appreciate that in a human-to-human contest the nerves can run high.

My Blanka could whup your Ken, anytime! :)

  • @KeldorDAntrell I think perhaps you didn't read my description thoroughly, but anyway, do you ever end up in CT? If so, let's see how your Blanka handles my Ken.

  • @omray, I did read your description & it fits exactly with how I'd be in the same situation - it's what makes these games the equivalent of sport i.e. the competitors can get so serious that they train, and the adrenalin flows, & the emotions run high. That's what I call gaming but unfortunately such gamers can be hard to find.

I've never heard of CT. What is it? I'd love to pit my Blanka against your Ken! "Seeing you in action is a joke!" :P

  • the final round that guy was probably thinking "wtf is going on the computer never does this"

  • i expected more from the guile guy since you kiss his ass allot in the description

but you pretty much owned him humilliated him with a perfect very nice

  • Wow whoever used Guile sucked hardcore especially if he was as good as you say once you got him in that pattern in the second round he was done should have used flash kick after the first knockdown or his uppercut then used Guiles pattern with multiple short kicks and then throw

  • @mrperez123 he did try to flash kick, but the initial frames are defeated by a carefully timed jumping short.

  • 2nd round was full of cheeeeese. lol.

  • awesome, great gaming history...i can def see the play difference within the time that has passed.

  • A very insightful comment.

  • This Guile kinda sucks. His timing is bad. Beating him is nothing to brag about, really. Get over it.

  • @smp22287 see other comments for explanation to your comment.

  • since when beating the computer without losing a round is a difficulg thing to do?

this guile sucks ass and keeps jumping in against shotos who can easy get dp'd

if u looking for a good guile feel free to play me on ggpo.

    this guile was a noob.

  • on snes, it has always been pretty challenging for many people. also, ggpo lacks the option to do SNES SF2WW, no? I'd be willing to play you on HDRM if you have a PS3, though. Let me know.

  • i dont have a ps3 but kaillera ( mame) does have world warior.

I prefer champion edition instead because ww is full of gliches and easy redizzies however f u want to play me on any of these feel free to message me.

  • I truly am into a specific version of SF2WW, the SNES version, which eliminated the handcuff glitch, etc. It is a bit different than other versions. So, asking me to do a diff. version is appreciated on the one hand, yet not on the other, considering my specificity. But, I have a friend that would likely be willing to play your version (including CE) on GGPO. If you're interested, please reply and I'll get you his contact info.

  • il play ur friend on ggpo with champion edition , or vs u with world warrior or whatever ur specialty is with mame. feel free to set up a schedule.

  • @ClubPenguinDisney are you in or near CT? I'd want to do in-person gaming, but I can do HDRemix online via PS3.

  • @omray im not in chinatown , but my friend is.

He plays st alot and is really good at it.

I myself however , only can play on ggpo.

    Which is what everyone uses.

If u wanna play some matches in champion edition or world warrior , just lemme know.

  • @ClubPenguinDisney, I like WW, but not the arcade version (it has less balances, glitches, and no PvP). If you or your friend are ever driving through CT, let me know.

  • @omray champion edition is pretty much like ww , without the glitches.

Besides its just a few friendly matches , u should download ggpo and play some.

  • @ClubPenguinDisney SNES WW was w/o the glitches.

  • @omray @omray im not in chinatown , but my friend is.

He plays st alot and is really good at it.

I myself however , only can play on ggpo.

    Which is what everyone uses.

If u wanna play some matches in champion edition or world warrior , just lemme know.

  • @ClubPenguinDisney GGPO lacks this particular version, and even if it has it, lag and other factors make it not ideal.

  • @omray it doesn't matter. if u think ur good cuz u beat some noob who played vs the cpu then go ahead.

A whole bunch of people live in the past that think they were/are great at street fighter , while infact would get owned by the current pro players such as koreans , chinese etc.

You can avoid actual playing people that know what there doing , or realize this guy was a noob and get over it. Either way it doesn't matter.

  • @ClubPenguinDisney You're comments are not relevant to the description.

  • @omray whats the description? a guy who beats the computer , something everyone can do , and u felt the neccessary urge to upload it on youtube? check sf2ce's channel to see the top korean players players.

this is old and crap compared to people who actually know how to play. but regardless , im not judging.

just stating facts to show dilusional sf players from the past that they aint all that. feel free to remove my comments if u like...

  • Im surprised Guile never used a flash kick against any of your jumps..or at all! Flash kick is a great anti air if used correctly

  • I believe he started flash kicks, but that's when my jumping short stopped them (in the 1-3 frame of it).

  • LOL, You cheap swine! Guile can't do anything against a flying short. Maybe a timed uppercut?

  • Depends on the conditions. Do you know what are the conditions in which he can handle a flying short using his flash kick?

  • The flying short only stops an infant flash kick, so he's like halfway through (I think), it won't work. I know if the flash kick is fully out (with the flame), the short won't work.

  • Ah, that is the forgotten piece of the puzzle to why I used to do it so well but when I try it now, it isn't as successful. Thank you for that reminder.

    Sam

  • My Lord I had forgotten how broken throws were in this game.

  • Nice video man! I've always wanted to see the old style of expert battles in sf2 cuz I knew and now know that it sure has changed from nowadays xD Nice video man, good job saving it and then posting it!

  • Thank you! It is nice to have it appreciated for what it is, how the game was played 15+ years ago.

  • Oh shit the final round was hilarious!

short kick short kick block stun into grab! WOO! so cheap, but then again this IS the SFIIturbo computer we're talking about here. Good stuff :3

  • Thanks for the comment. BTW, this is World Warrior, not "turbo", and it was player vs. player. Probably the only player vs. player SNES SF2 WW from '94 on the entire internet (especially this match up).

  • @Midekai it was a person who played the computer to mastery, not a computer being played.

  • holy shit this is so old school it's awesome, i just picked up the new one makes me appreciate the classics so much more

  • I still seek the old school challengers. Best I can do these days is to get the challenge on occasion, or to do HDRM online or tourney.

  • both players showed pretty low level of play. the fact that he thinks he is good is what makes me think he is joking by posting this below-mediocre to mediocre match. the guys who suggested going to evolution were right. buy yourself a plane ticket might be enough for you to buy yourself a clue you scrub.

  • Ha, that was a random battle in '94, not an exemplary or epitome. Your reply ignores all this. I challenge you to a playstation 3 HDRM battle! If you have or get to a PS3, prepare to be defeated.

  • Well, go to shoryukendotcom to ask for a challenge, maybe in the CT regional forums. There are thousands of SF tourney players there. A Guile specialist would use moves like the invisible handcuff glitch all the time in World Warrior BTW, which is pretty basic and, from the vids, I don't think your opp even knew about that. CPU players suck anyway

  • Thanks for the challenge-seeking advice. As for the handcuff glitch, the SNES World Warrior version fixed that glitch, so it isn't possible to do it in that version.

  • I haven't seen this opportunity at the shoryuken web site for CT. If you can be more specific, please let me know. BTW, the SNES version of SFII did not have the handcuff glitch.

  • I'm not trying to diss you, but beating a guy who plays the CPU is and always was cnsidered laughable by the pros. Maybe you can give the pros a little competition but, until you can prove it, you're just another random guy, an amateur like the oher guy said.

Well, if you go to Evolution, good luck! Also, you may play Street Fighter online against tough competition with programs such as 2DF or GGPO. Even if you find out that you're not as good as you think, you'll have a lot of fun for sure.

  • I've had some pretty good challenges via Xbox live using SFAC.

  • Dude, I'm sorry, but this is kinda ridiculous. There were national championships all the time in ´94, and guys like Tomo Ohira won all of them. There are world championships now (seek for Evolution Championships, or the Shoryuken website). The best players in the world are guys like the aforementioned Alex Valle. They will gladly pay you for any amount of money or just for free, if you bother o attend a big tourney.

    (continues on next post)

  • Problem is I seek challengers for the variation I have the most experience in: The SNES version.

  • sweet

  • the problem is i am really good at it but i only play it on pc

  • "...had practiced the Super Nintendo Street Fighter II The World Warrior to the point of being able to defeat the computer on the hardest difficulty level without losing a round from start to finish."

Shows how much beating the computer improves your game :P

  • Maybe this is a good example of how a computer player (Guile) does vs a human player (Ken)?

  • Haha, perhaps it does!

  • far from expert

  • Today I changed the wording from Guile "Expert" to "specialist", as he was an expert, but in the sense of mastering the toughest comp skill lv., which has different properties than most human players. Specialist seems more accurate, as he so specialized in fighting the comp (something much more common at the time, I think).

  • What expert would begin a fight with a Flashkick from out of range? He jumps in on Ken with no attack. He even got caught by the short-short-short cheese combo- and all this occured in the first round. You know what, all I can say to the 2nd round is... hahahahhahaha

  • This was a fight in 1994 so what do you expect?

  • As in people were less skilled at SF2 back then?

  • And it seems that the Guile player thought Ken would make a jump (in) as his first move, so he executed the Flash Kick.

  • yes, perhaps in our prior battle's rounds, I continuously started moving fwd (or jumped in, possibly). Anyway, good speculation.

  • In the SNES SF2 World Warriors, a premptive jump short kick by Ken can get through a flash kick that is w/in its initial stages, so it isn't strategically unheard of to jump in vs. Guile. But, many Guile players, if getting the flash kick off early enough, will be able to stop Ken's jump attack.

  • Yeah, this Guile was pretty bogus. He didn't use the sonic boom effectively at all, and that opening flash kick was TOTALLY uncalled for.

  • Assuming that I didn't jump in a few times to start in the prior battle, yes. But, have you never started a round w/a flash kick? He may have rarely done so, and as the video description explains, this is a snippet of real life, in that it was one of multiple recorded battles, but only one survived since '94, so I had not the ability to choose which one to put up. Still, I rather enjoy seeing how I played vs him in '94. Thanks for watching.

  • Nah, I find opening FKs awkward; medium or roundhouse FK leaves you open, and light FK doesn't reach far. I anticipate three scenarios when I'm playing with Guile: 1. opponent walks forward; 2. opponent jumps at me; 3. opponent uses a fireball. The only scenario where FK might work is 2, but it's more efficient to go with a rising fierce jumpkick due to Guile's long kick range. I start matches by retreating to let situations develop and charge. THEN I might find opportunity to use FK.

  • U gotta be F'n kidding me. Garbage all day. Come see me sometime you amatuer.

  • Who's the amateur? Anyway, where do you live? I might be able to come to you, or you to me. And, I will win.

  • Go play Alex Valle...he's the best in the US him and Choi...I wanna think...

  • where is he?

  • in california...just look up vids of him...you'll see from the start how good he is

  • OK, I'm now playing on PS3 HDRM. Let me know if you want to deal w/my level of challenge!

  • whoever is guile sucks but nice fight

  • Cool video - good fight!

  • Good fight!

  • Thank you!

  • that really didn't look like any Guile expert.

  • Sam says: I can see how you'd think that from this video (he even thought that from this video), but considering how he'd beat it on level 7 (top level on SNES which includes giving the player a damage handicap) w/o losing a round, I think that counts as evidence of his expertise. Also, as you may know from national tournaments in fighting games, even the runners up sometimes look less skilled when against the tournament winner especially when one gets on a roll w/a hard to counter sequence.

  • 'considering how he'd beat it on level 7 (top level on SNES which includes giving the player a damage handicap) w/o losing a round'

Yes, this was considered a feat at that time in the 90s, the good old days.
