  • Strange how a comic with such simple characters happen to have the coolest intro EVAH

  • its composed by Batman, Nightmare Before Christmas and Spider-Man composer Danny Elfman. that's why its sounds so freakin cool:)

  • @1994SonicDude From the Forbidden Zone no less!

  • This song has pretty cool drums, well atleast the ending if the intro

  • I just noticed that The Big Bang Theory has a remarkably similar introduction. They probably stole it from Dilbert.

  • @jimbopumbapigsticks Or vice versa...

  • @Massooze Given that they haven't made Dilbert in over a decade, not really.

  • Quisiera poder volver a ver de nuevo esta serie :/

Para mi consuelo, aun ponen sus caricaturas,

en los periodicos de los sabados ;D

  • definitely one of the coolest songs i have ever heard

  • You know, it's interesting. The opening music is essentially the devil's triad playing over and over again. Somewhere, there was probably some Christian who recognized the devil's triad after seeing the evolution sequence and then pointed at this show and said Satan! Kind of funny, really.

  • This is over 10 years old but the quality of the animation is amazing!

  • My question is HOW did it come to use the Forbidden Zone theme? Was it driven by the request of someone who had seen that great movie, or was it simply Elfman's choice?

  • @paragshah2112 It is the same. Danny Elfman rearranged the theme and made it into this.

  • sounds like the same riff off of "forbidden zone's" title track

  • @paragshah2112 it is

  • Wow, they made such a thing

  • Epic. Simply epic.

For those interested, the Dilbert theme is a redo of the theme music from the 1982 comedy-musical film "Forbidden Zone," performed by Oingo Boingo. It's available on Youtue--the music, anyway. I highly recommend the movie, by the way...

  • hoom hah hoo che hoom hah hoo che hoom hah hoo che

  • @asfdos LOLOLOLOL

  • Going down down down how far can you go, you might fall into the forbidden zooooone.

  • thumbs up if CR brought you here!

  • @KH12foreve

    What's CR? :o

  • @stickman4EVA /user/rblueboy777#p/u/17/2K1_J9zRwiM

  • Feckin. So good. The drums at the end are so satisfying.

  • This is what happens when you let Danny Elfman cut loose.

  • I always thought this show had one of the coolest opening sequences ever. Shame it's rarely recognized for it...

  • @JBWarner86 I always liked it - even used it in an adult AMV once.

  • @JBWarner86 Actually it won a Primetime Creative Arts Emmy Award in 1999 for Outstanding Main Title Design

  • I wonder... what if loud Howard got the hiccups?

  • I remember seeing this late one night when I was like 5.....I was confused as hell! XD Thank god for Oingo Boingo! :D

  • this show gives me the creeps.

  • is there any way to get the soundtrack form this

  • @L3thalBrickProuction Well this intro song is called "Forbbiden Zone" and it's originally by "Oingo Boingo" but this is slightly different than the original. When u hear it you'll know what I mean....;) Hope this helped u out some?

  • my favorite character is dogbert

  • @L3thalBrickProuction As he might say - of course he is.

  • @io9wwww i dont get it

  • Dogbert is my boss... Cool intro!

  • im sick of fucking advertisements

  • @BackerHall62 Huh? You get ads or something?

  • @io9wwww yeah, everytime i open this video, i get a fucking ad! u dont?

  • @BackerHall62 No, but there is a link to "Crackle Movies & Television" that I never noticed before. I use firefox and adblock plus.

  • @BackerHall62 I don't have firefox and I don't get any ads. O.o

  • It is of my opinion that all tv shows should start like this.

  • GAH! I love those little chimes in the background from 0:36

  • i just want to know a song similar to this

  • @christophfilms anything by danny elfman. Check out the Forbidden Zone (same intro!)

  • MOST EPIC CARTOON INTRO EVER!

  • Pause at 1:06, man being held up at gun point

  • @catbleblk There is nothing AT 1:06 - that's the end of the clip.

  • @io9wwww You're right, it was at 0:26 where the guy is being robbed .

  • Comment removed

  • @io9wwww Definitely there at 0:26!

  • @Frazzles88 Yeah, that's what it looks like all right. Good eyes.

  • I was like six when I watched this show.

I didn't understand half of this, but I remember that I loved the man who screamed.

  • @ScrewLimbBizkit "Loud Howard". :)

  • If my life had a theme song this would be it.

  • Danny Elfman composed music for the cartoons? I didn't know that.

  • i saw this on teletoon one time

  • Never watched this show until I bought it on DVD 11 years later. I watched Dilbert earlier today and it's a very amazing show and loved it. Dilbert is one of the best UPN shows of the late 90s next to WWF SmackDown! Dilbert rules.

  • God the 90's 3D animation is awesome.

  • @KazzRacer It was actually more advanced than you think it was. This was just used for easy cartoon worlds.

  • Another great music piece by Danny Elfman.

  • They should make a live action show with Jason Alexander as Wally.

  • They're making a Dilbert movie. I hope it doesn't suck like the Garfield and Marmaduke movies.

  • @LegoJunk128 Really?

  • @badcompanyization Yup. Wikipedia it, my friend.

  • its on netflix!

  • Awesome show!! Sweet ass intro!!

  • I loved this show as a child! :D

  • Pretty amazing for the 1990s-early 2000!

  • Even though it's cancelled now, at least the comics are still around :)

  • go ratbert!

  • This is exactly the same music as the opening of the movie "forbidden zone" composed by danny elfman.

  • @samythekay Which probably explains why it is called "The Dilbert Zone" - by Danny Elfman.

I used it in my adult AMV "Anibert".

  • @samythekay Not "exactly" the same.

  • dogbert was and still is da man (or the Dawg?)

  • Of all the places to hear Oingo Boingo, I would never have guessed Dilbert. It's quite the pleasant surprise. :)

  • possibly one of the greatest shows ever made, such a shame it isnt on tv any more

  • That's what I call intro!

  • havnt seen this show in.... well i dont remember lol been forever!

  • the best music intro

  • the good old times where TV was still good

  • Yes indeed.

  • LOUD HOWARD FTW!

  • hehe - he's great.

  • HIGH FIVE! LOUD HOWARD INVENTED CAPS!

  • Forbidden Zone ftw!!!

  • Just goes to show how far downhill animation in television has gone.

This show really didn't last long enough, was a pretty original cartoon.

Oh well, least we'll always have the comics.

  • So true, television isn't what it used to be. I don't even watch it now and just get my giggles from youtube.

  • Yeah, I can't see how the crap that's on today with so little effort put into it can still make any money.

I guess people are too afraid to try anything. Ugh...

  • @monkeylad44 they have a podcast series, but i don't know how often it updates.

  • @monkeylad44 It's probably better to end a cartoon soon if you run out of ideas than to let it snap off in the middle like the Simpsons.

There's seriously no more room for character development there.

  • @monkeylad44 too bad the comics don't have loud howard

  • @supergenius1994 Actualy load howard is in the cartoons he's just very rare.

  • @monkeylad44 the comics arent enough man!!

  • Memories :D

    Epic intro as well.
