Of all the cops these days, the border patrol seem to be the coolest and still seem to have some compassion and humanity in them unlike the jackbooted, taser-happy nazi thugs at DHS, DEA, BATF, and other ADL trained goons. Check out videos of the riot police at the G20, RNC and DNC conventions of 2008 where peaceful protestors consisting of women, children, and senior citizens get attacked for nothing by dogs, rubber bullets, mace, tasers, etc. Theres lots of videos on UTube.

if u look at the actual checkpoint, and how the trucks dont have much room to go through it, u could see that it really isnt safe to just walk through it, cause some 16 yr old mexican truck driver , driving a truck from mexico that probably has shitty brakes, is just gonna run their suburban asses over. hahahaha. the border guards were actually really nice as far as law enforcement goes. i live in dallas, and if u think they were mean, you are one candy ass motherfucker.

U.S. vs. Martinez Fuerte allows only permanent checkpoints and only on major highways where traffic from the border originates leading away from the border. Today chekcpoints are moved from one stop to another, and are on roads that never intercept the border.
