@MissMonica845 - so if you're not "of age" you can just run wild on a "kids are exempt from the law" free pass? No, under aged childen can, and are arrested everyday. Instead of jail they are put into the Youth Authority or Juvenile Detention Center...'

she was taught a harsh lesson she wont be in a hurry to steal again!!! so what f*****g! business is it of everyone in here slating the parent if the mother just laughed it off and did not punish the child what would you all say then!!! slam the thief in juve....CATCH THEM YOUNG!
@TheSoccerifying I don't think you understand. It's just a lesson to teach her daughter. I bet you it worked and she will never try to do something like that again, its just a creative(and perhaps a bit harsh) way of telling their kid not to do something that will harm them in the future.
@1337wafflezz Wow, calling a police on her 6 year old daughter to teach her a stupid a lesson? What next, put her in a correctional facility? You are uncivilized!
This is the stupidest mother I have seen orther then the ones who put a leash on their kids. Who calls the cops over something like this? Is it really that serious? Yes she did wrong she 6. Kids do things that are wrong all the time. Ok so maybe everytime they throw a tempertantrum we call the police for disorderly conduct and disturbing the peace. People like this mother are pathetic and should be arrested and trialed for stupidity.
@sarahmjoy what a bullshit comment, so what if their 6. they know stealing is wrong, my son is 5 he knows not to steal, he knows not to bully or hurt people. now maybe kids in america are fucking stupid, but in England they understand right from wrong at an early age.
@ilikemunting Whats that goung to solve for you, we can't come to the conclusion that all American children don't know right from wrong at an early age from some man or woman posting a comment on the internet. I reckon you wasted a few minutes being frustrated while you could have been smiling! Take care, stew out.
I think thats ridiculous, having your 6 year old daughter arrested b/c she shoplifted. I mean yea, it may be a crime, but is she to the point to know that taking things from stores isn't bad, thats it's ok? Idk, but even if she knew it was bad, as long as you punished her & let her know that what she did was wrong, ground her, whatever, thats fine. Having your daughter, who's 6, arrested? C'mon.
I don't care about the "Parenting" she's fucking 6. If she was like 13 then yeah, maybe arrest is good. But fucking 6, come on.. how did the arrest go? Did they make her like, get down and handcuffed?? That must've been stupid as hell. Handcuffs would fit around her waist. Well. not really but you know what I mean.
Unfortunately this doesn't mean instantly the kid will be on the right path. A friend of mine had her mom turn her in for shoplifting when she was about 8, scared the crap out of her... she was a KID, so she lied about it even when she was turned in. Anyway, long story short, she grew up to be a delinquent anyway. Moral of the story: don't get caught, even if you are a kid.
@dude94168 Maybe. I'd have my kids arrested if they did some dumb shit, but only if they hit puberty. This kid isn't even pre-pubescent. She's 6 years old. I think that's extreme. And now her life is fucked because she has a record and will have a harder time getting a job. A record can really ruin your life. And when she does get a job, she's not going to be payed at much. And if she wants to go to college and needs a student loan, she might not get one. And a scholarship isn't a possibility.
@dude94168 yeah..okay. Shes a little girl. Sure she was shoplifting..she didn't know.. Boy, all the ppl who relied 2 me don't care about the child...do u have children? Do u care for them I guess u would wanna throw them in jail then.......
WHAT THE HECK?! THAT IS SO WRONG!! FIRST OFF, FOR HER MOM TO CALL COPS ON HER CUTE LITTLE DAUGHTER WHO'S LIKE WAAAY UNDER AGED TO GET ARRESTED AND TO BE TREATED LIKE THAT, AND 2ND, WHY WOULD THE COPS DO THAT?! I THOUGHT POLICE ARE GOOD PEOPLE! NOT CHILD ABUSERS:(
@liamrenn Ummm, I'm 11 years old..so..yeah. Plus, who would call the cops on there own daughter/kid?! Just expressing my opinion! Would u call the cops on your kid..?!
@BubbleProductions11 That is the stupidest comment i have ever seen, they are cops they need to follow the law that is their job, what you think they are going to let a law be broken? then what someone will get fired and then his family will go into a shit-storm. FUCKING STUPID! BEING A COP IS A JOB, DOES NOT MEAN YOU ARE GOOD! YOU JUST FOLLOW THE RULES OR YOU GET FIRED.
Real solution - take your daughter to turn in the merchandise - have her apologize - clean their floors or take out their trash - and take away TV, cartoons, wii etc. anywhere from 1 week to a month.
@LGA3000 That wouldn't do anything. Grounding kids is useless, because a week after the grounding they forget about everything. This was a good lesson, because that is something that would permanently etch into their mind, and make them think twice about shoplifting.
No. That girl's life is fucked now. They are gonna mess up her record and it'll never be over for her. Stupid ass bitch. Should've just spanked her hard and made her give it back and apologize, then calmly explain why she had to do that and teach her. That's not just snitchin'....that's family betrayal. She is going to grow up hating her mom and eventually want to kill her....and most likely just get worse and worse and be a rebel forever cuz of being traumatized by dumbass mom
I think the Mom did a good thing. Believe me, I have a sister who REALLY could have used that at a younger age and learned something while there was still time. Now its too late.
I doubt it was a dramatically traumatizing experience. If by traumatizing you mean she'll probably never steal again, then yes. What's wrong with that though?
when you really think about it, she is teaching her a good lesson, if you ground her for a week, would it stop her from stealing again?i'm not too sure
Finally a good parent. Teach them responsiblity while they are young. tired of parents babying their children. you are never too young to get arrested.
can a six year old be arrested in america? i thought the age of criminal responsibility was 10? as a police officer ive had mothers bring in their young children to the front office be given a dressing down for shoplifting and the like. the child thinks its been in trouble which of course it hasnt but it hopefully learns. i myself thought i had been arrested age 9 when i was taken home by police for playing in the road. it wasnt until i was in my 20s it dawned on me i hadnt been.
Ok I think it was stupid that she called the cops on a 6 year old she probably didn't know it was a bad thing to take that!!!! It pisses me off that her mom did that shit to her!!!!!
I agree to the mother being strict with her daughter and punishing her accordingly, but that girl will now have that on her record unless she can get it sponged. It will effect her future, whether it's jobs or college. Even if those college people or employers actually look into it and read the full thing, all it takes is seeing something like "Theft, Shoplifting on March XX, 20XX" on your record for people to hesitate before they realize.
Actually, I think when you turn 18, any arrests not related to driving are sealed, meaning those reviewing her application for anything will never know. Still, you make a good point.
@Downsight Actually, Juvey records are automatically esponged by the time they're 18. Also, the Juvey records are also supposed to be sealed so even colleges, emplyers, etc aren't allowed to have acces to them.
I think a better way to go about it would have been to take the girl back to the store and have her give back the stolen stickers to the store manager, and then apologize.
I remeber when I was in 1st grade and I stole some cards from a store because my mom wouldnt let me have them. All she did was take the cards back from me and gave me a talking to.
Now all you stupid niggers need to pay attention. This is the difference between civilized white people, We teach our children to what is right, you teach your little monkeys HOW to shoplift. Shoplifting will always be wrong.
I just received a clairvoyant vision. Twelve years from now her daughter is going to turn her mother in to Homeland Security for making disloyal statements against the government.
The whole problem was best handled as an educational issue, simply apply the board of education to the seat of learning, and let the cops handle the real problems.
In Canada it is illegal for the cops to arrest someone of that age for theft, and then charge them. A LPO can arrest someone of any age but if younger than 12 cannot have charges put on them, they can only hand the kid back to the parents, and have the parents sign a paper showing their kid is banned from the store for a certain amount of time , including coming back in the store with the parents.
Anyone of the age of 12 and up and the parents can be charged for their kid or teen stealing.
OK I am gonna call bull sh** on TYT on saying "She considered picking up the reward" The news report said in essence that there was a reward that was not followed up on these Liberal AZZHOLES imply that she was interested in the reward but then decided not to. It appears that the intent was to use the event as a teachable moment to show that stealing is NOT OK
WHEN MY COUSIN WAS 8YRS OLD SHE STOLE MONEY; IN ORDER TO SCARE HER, HER MOM HAD HER ARRESTED. BOTTOM LINE, IT DIDNT HELP, MY COUSIN STILL WENT ON TO BE A MAJOR THIEF WHO SPECIALIZED IN MONEY SCHEMES AND SHOP LIFTING; AND SHE WAS VERY GOOD AT IT. NOW SHE'S A BORN AGAIN CHRISTIAN, ALWAYS TRYING TO TELL US HOW TO LIVE.
@fisherman773 He is probably a New Black Panther and Santa is white. It is a war trophey and makes New Black Panthers proud he killed a white cracker jolly old man.
@fisherman773 It twas the night before Christmas. And in this such studio. Where they listen to rock, Phil Collins and Psudio. The big angry turk was a huffin and puffin. Angry glenn beck get's fat off a muffin. Little girl Ana naive and so nice, was listening wise one jayar's good advice. Though he heckled and haggled and bustnusts the host. Speaking it through the hat he loves most. We watch and then laugh giggle so unearthed...I Fucked up this poem i hope it was worth it.
Good job mom, She should have collected the thirty dollars and show her daughter that she earned the money by being a honest citizen. Teach them early and you teach them once. Teach them late and you'll be taking care of them the rest of you life.
i hadn't even watched this video and as soon as i read the title to this video and before i ever clicked to watch it.... i said fuck the mother for that, and fuck anyone else who has a problem with it
Well atleast it's not as bad as that story of the 9 year old girl who refused to take a bath so her mother called the cops, they came and they tasered the girl.
My Grandmother used to take my Dad to the police station and have him sit a 'time out' in a cell, if he did something really bad. Wasn't terribly traumatic for him, he was a delinquent right through high school. He only really changed when he met my mother.
think about it? how many times have you seen a mom correct a child for doing something in public? what happens when this happens? someone calls the cops and says she's abusing the child. That child knows hey if I do something wrong and mom tries to hit me for it I can tell the cops she's beating me. Kids get taught this crap in school. I say the mom did the right thing, it will teach the child that stealing gets you taking to jail. Stealing is wrong. You can't spank her cause you'll go to jail.
@HoshiChun Then how about trying other methods of discipline besides spanking? Or is that too much for your redneck, Bible-thumping ass to understand? Adult hitting adult: wrong. Child hitting child: wrong. Child hitting adult: wrong. Adult hitting child: ok??? What's wrong with that picture?
how the hell else you gonna teach em. a slap on the wrist.that kid learned that it dont matter what age you are, you steal somethin, and this is whats gonna happen.
I think she did the right thing. good job mom. They will arrest you for woopin' a child so with your hands tide what can a parent really do? Whatever they do it has to be traumatic enough to stay in the child's mind.
Does this mean the 6 year old has a criminal record????

duuude. do people not know what an ass whippin is anymore? o.o
Celebi50 7 months ago
HiddenStarrzz 7 months ago
I think the Mom did a good thing. Believe me, I have a sister who REALLY could have used that at a younger age and learned something while there was still time. Now its too late.

snitching on her own daughter. What a whore.
69tyronebiggums69 7 months ago
I think it is good that the mother did that but she should have explained to her daughter BEFORE she was six that taking stuff isn't good.

I doubt it was a dramatically traumatizing experience. If by traumatizing you mean she'll probably never steal again, then yes. What's wrong with that though?
ColdVolcano22 7 months ago
My mom did this to me when I was 10... I never stole again..
ProgressiveMukraker 7 months ago
when you really think about it, she is teaching her a good lesson, if you ground her for a week, would it stop her from stealing again?i'm not too sure

The main argument here is trauma?
how about when a parent yell at a child? is that not traumatisizing?
Trauma is simply a word for strong bad memories, why don't you forget something really bad? maybe becourse it's pretty darn important...
kids do not have perception of consequence, that is a scientifik study,
so how do you teach kids consequence? talk to them about it? YEAH RIGHT... HA!
why are you even reporting on this turks?
You are making punishing children for wrong-doings look bad.
Meansofviewing 7 months ago
Finally a good parent. Teach them responsiblity while they are young. tired of parents babying their children. you are never too young to get arrested.

can a six year old be arrested in america? i thought the age of criminal responsibility was 10? as a police officer ive had mothers bring in their young children to the front office be given a dressing down for shoplifting and the like. the child thinks its been in trouble which of course it hasnt but it hopefully learns. i myself thought i had been arrested age 9 when i was taken home by police for playing in the road. it wasnt until i was in my 20s it dawned on me i hadnt been.

@1997prettymomo Now the Girl wont steal again
casperryan95 8 months ago
I agree to the mother being strict with her daughter and punishing her accordingly, but that girl will now have that on her record unless she can get it sponged. It will effect her future, whether it's jobs or college. Even if those college people or employers actually look into it and read the full thing, all it takes is seeing something like "Theft, Shoplifting on March XX, 20XX" on your record for people to hesitate before they realize.
Downsight 8 months ago
@Downsight
Actually, I think when you turn 18, any arrests not related to driving are sealed, meaning those reviewing her application for anything will never know. Still, you make a good point.
IAMHEATHLEDGERZ 8 months ago
@Downsight Actually, Juvey records are automatically esponged by the time they're 18. Also, the Juvey records are also supposed to be sealed so even colleges, emplyers, etc aren't allowed to have acces to them.

I think a better way to go about it would have been to take the girl back to the store and have her give back the stolen stickers to the store manager, and then apologize.
The cops have bigger issues to deal with.

lamarahopson 9 months ago
I just received a clairvoyant vision. Twelve years from now her daughter is going to turn her mother in to Homeland Security for making disloyal statements against the government.
The whole problem was best handled as an educational issue, simply apply the board of education to the seat of learning, and let the cops handle the real problems.
Zyworski 10 months ago
In Canada it is illegal for the cops to arrest someone of that age for theft, and then charge them. A LPO can arrest someone of any age but if younger than 12 cannot have charges put on them, they can only hand the kid back to the parents, and have the parents sign a paper showing their kid is banned from the store for a certain amount of time , including coming back in the store with the parents.
Anyone of the age of 12 and up and the parents can be charged for their kid or teen stealing.

My Grandmother used to take my Dad to the police station and have him sit a 'time out' in a cell, if he did something really bad. Wasn't terribly traumatic for him, he was a delinquent right through high school. He only really changed when he met my mother.
MikuMikuBeat 1 year ago
think about it? how many times have you seen a mom correct a child for doing something in public? what happens when this happens? someone calls the cops and says she's abusing the child.
HoshiChun 1 year ago 3
@HoshiChun Then how about trying other methods of discipline besides spanking? Or is that too much for your redneck, Bible-thumping ass to understand? Adult hitting adult: wrong. Child hitting child: wrong. Child hitting adult: wrong. Adult hitting child: ok??? What's wrong with that picture?

I think she did the right thing. good job mom. They will arrest you for woopin' a child so with your hands tide what can a parent really do? Whatever they do it has to be traumatic enough to stay in the child's mind.
