Cool mod and all but it those buttons that come with the ultrasabers can be popped out easily to wire the sound board to the same button as the LED so when you press the button you get the power up and down to match what the light is doin. I will be making a couple ultrasabers mods in the future to demonstrate.

@RandoAnonymous It isn't that easy to move out the switch on mine. There's not enough slack to get at the wires. Also I used a Hasbro board... I wasn't going to put any half decent sound board in a PVC hilt. As such, it couldn't be reused anyway. Hasbro's use momentary switches not latching like the resistored LEDs do.

@xwingband I am gonna use some cheap sound boards that come with some cheap toy lightsabers I found online. Should sound good for what I am doin with the ultrasabers I have. Eventually I would like to get some MHS compatible sabers but I am gonna goof around with these ultrasabers before I make anything really cool.

If memory serves me correctly, Blue is not Sunrider's Destiny. I believe Cyan is.

@TeefBirfday Correct, but he's changed them around. When I got the saber he used bin 6 blues which are right over the edge from cyan. Now he has bin 1 cyans. Both are nice, I keep a bin 1 cyan around at all times since they're rather rare.

i dont want one as bright as the hyperblade because the real ones arent that bright.you can only really see that blade of it.and it'd be awesome to have a duel in the dark and only being able to see the lightsabers real well =D

@GamersMinion The with hyperblades is that you set it the brightness to whatever you want. The reason they want it so bright is so that you can see it while the sun is out or something.

@DoPlease You can't even so. There's videos out there to prove that. Daylight bright is a futile battle with our current batteries. Hyperblades are shipped with a very dangerous configuration to get that bright and it's still nothing like dusk or at night.

That's what many use. This one happens to be a 45 degree elbow of ePVC (grey electrical conduit).

Hey X-Wing... What would Bondaras be, what watt for which color LED?

I have no clue what "Bondaras" are.

For the watts... doesn't matter. It's a function of the voltage and and amperage you give the LED. I can give it less than it's max and it's a "lower" wattage LED. Max wattage means something, but it depends on each LED so it still doesn't mean too much. Look up the maximum specifications online and multiply the volts and amps of the LED to find that.

In this video the blade is a PolyCarbonate tube with PolyPropelyene film rolled up inside it to distribute the light.

I'm pretty sure all UltraSabers' sabers now come with Luxeon IIIs. I'm talking about the E-Series essentially when I say this. You can also choose one of 3 blade types.

Yes, the color is in between. Put it next to a green and you'd probably say it's blue, but put it next a to a royal blue and you'd say it looks green.

I got this like two years ago, what was stock then is not stock now. Back then I didn't get stock either. I requested the III in blue and a 30" blade (thick-walled). The stock was I's and a 24" thick-walled I believe. Now Ultra sells all of his sabers with a thin-walled blade (still 24" for the initiates I think).

thier are 3 cheap sabers but they dont have sound its basiclly a glow stick without sound they go for 34 36 and 44$ each you can get three differt hilt colors bronze silver or the plain color but you mod it for sound which really it woulda been easier to just by one with sound cards if you into exotic sabers try parksaber their stuffs preety....niffty i shoulda say but their very expensive about the same as an ultra fx or you could try ultra sabers 3 saber kit also try custom saber shop

It had one... the clash sound on Hasbros are like static though. It's better off with out any of its sensors.

A search for "Balance of Power" will show you a live action show that uses luxeon lightsabers though.

Nothing... it's just light. Take the blade off and it's a colored flashlight. You wouldn't want to look down the hilt (unless you want to be temporarily blinded), so other than hitting people it's harmless.

Master xwingband. I am bout to buy Lukes ANH ultrasaber (force fx's blade is modified to a luxeon blade) with color guardian blue. Im just a bit unsure is a blue really a strong color, next to a red for example? And is sunriders destiny more brighter than guardian blue??? Please you're my only hope.

Yeah, an ultrasaber is just a luxeon conversion...

Blues are not as strong as Red. "Sunrider's Destiny" is brighter than "Guardian Blue".

I normally just say forget brightness and get the color you like. Other than Amber ("Fire Orange as Ultra calls it) there isn't a disappointing one.

I was totally serious... go to a hardware store. It's made of EPVC. Electrical Conduit... gray stuff in the stores, usually near steel and copper pipes. Any of the fittings made for PVC will work. Also some plumbing stuff is made to fit right over it.

I just ordered one of them new off ebay. It was only like 56 bucks. Great saber to goof around with. Mine is a V3 though. My hilt is just a normal black curved hilt no design. One question is there any upgrade parts i can get for mine.

I think the new one Ultra has put out looks weird for a lack of a better term. The bell at the top is ridiculous. I'd bet he's only offering them because of the sucsess others like me have had with making them and selling them.

What do you mean by upgrades? Electronic ones need to be done by someone who knows what they are doing. Cosmetic ones... go to a hardware store and brainstorm.

No... it's a PolyCarbonate (type of plastic) blade that captures the light from a Luxeon LED (really high powered LED, classified as a laser).

It works better as a baton than cutting anything, lol.

No... they used various different stuff. They usually didn't even use lighted sabers. They added the look in with computers.

i believe the curved handle was all about Count Dooku's lightsaber which is curved just like that...his is red though, but y'know, with mods it really doesnt matter.

I think the hilt with blade was $40 (maybe +$10) and if I had pulled the Hasbro sound out of a new one $20 (I didn't, I got a large lot of them).

Ultra is really specific when he buys his LEDs so I think you may change your mind when compared to a Green or Royal Blue saber.

I saw that you turned on the light and the sound separately. Is that how it is with force fx lightsabers after they're converted, or would i still be able to convert mine (from ultrasabers) and have the original on/off switch (with both sound and light on at the same time)?

With a fx conversion it will use the stock switch.

I had to use a seperate switch because I did not want to risk breaking the saber to use the same switch. It was simpler to add a new switch.

It's still not bad. It's decent.  I took the sensors off so it's just ignition and hum sounds.

I couldn't get access to the LED so Hasbro it was. Kept the price lower too.

Is SR destiny a blue LED? I wanna buy their anikan ROTS conversion kit.

When I bought it SR destiny was a bin 6 blue (palest blue), but now I believe Ultra is using a bin 2 cyan. It is more of a mint than a light blue.

If you are going for a DIY conversion. I recommend the TCSS (Custom Saber Shop) conversion for the Anakin. It has the most plastic outside of the tube and benefits the most from an all metal holder.

But Ultra sabers has a CD manual... Also, if I buy a thick blade and tip for my anikan luxeon, is that all I need?

TCSS has instructions online for the conversions... maybe it's not as simplstic or spelled out, but an intelligent person can do it.

You would have to order a complete blade from Ultra. He doesn't publicly offer a DIY option for that since it requires special glues to be done correctly.
