Just for clarification Hexafluorosilicic acid, the compound they are claiming is dangerous, is NOT put into the drinking water. Sodium Silicofluoride, which is not dangerous, is what is being put into the water. Hexafluorosilicic acid is used in the process of making Sodium Silicofluoride. This video is twisting the truth for absolutely no reason other than rabble-rousing.
What's funny is that they say that it's exposure to "Fluoride Compounds", not specifically the compound found in water, sodium silicofluoride. That's like saying chlorine compounds can cause internal bleeding. Does that mean you should stop eating salt?
Keywords in the video are "Prolonged or repeated OVEREXPOSURE" which means prolonged exposure to higher than safe doses. You would have to drink several gallons of tap water to receive the higher than safe dose.

The harmful effects of sodium silicofluoride are non-existent in small doses (other than some possible unwanted tooth bleaching). Chlorine is also added to water, which in high enough doses would eat your insides out.

There is no question that everything, vitamins, minerals you name it can be toxic, but it's all dose dependent. The harmful effects of sodium silicofluoride are non-existent in small doses (other than some possible unwanted tooth bleaching). Everyone knows not to swallow toothpaste. The pea-sized amount of toothpaste used on a toothbrush contains 1/4 mg of fluoride. That is the same amount of fluoride found in 8 ounces of tap water. If you look on the back of a tube of toothpaste you will see a warning to call a poison control center if you swallow your toothpaste. Who do you call if you swallow a glass of tap water? Both have the same amount of fluoride.

But drinking fluoride is dangerous over long term. There is no question that everything, vitamins, minerals you name it can be toxic, but it's all dose dependent. It seems they need to look into possibly tampering down the maximum daily allowance but only about 6% of the US is exposed to the maximal allowance. Fluoride is all good, although I do agree more research will be a good thing.
