A couple of years ago I was reading an 08 or 09 dirt bike magazine, I can't remember which, but it had the old Kawi Factory & Works MX team bikes on the cover photo and for the main article. I forgot to get a copy that day. Ward said in the article that "prior to his season, he asked the Kawi engineers for "Agricultural" type (low rpm) power out of his 500".
I need to learn what magazine title and issue that is, so I can find a copy.
Ward won the micicycle world champoinship on an R75 agaist 2-cycle bikes. This cause the ripple that has resulted in the motocross world adopting 4-cycle bikes, realizing tat sheer and controllable torque gets a bike around a track faster than the less controllable, low torque but ig HP output of 2-cycle bikes.
Thats pretty cool. I'm a huge Jeff Ward fan. I think that is neat that they are all in that shape. I live near the Barber's museum and they have one of his supermoto bikes. I think it would be cool to have those at the museum for a couple of months.
