  • Very honest and touching interview. Wish the best for him and pray all of his demons will leave him at peace and let him live the rest of his life whole and happy. Evil child abusers is why God made hell.

  • Uprated.

  • I hate all these talking heads (as well as P Morgan) who turn up on documentaries about legends and just bitch on and on when they know fuck all about the guy.

  • MICKEY, LIFE SO IS SHORT WRITE TO ME ON FACEBOOK I ASK VERY MUCH I WAIT. (ILONA SHARAPOVA)

  • MICKEY, WRITE TO ME ON FACEBOOK. I WILL WAIT HOW MANY IT IS REQUIRED, PLEASE. FROM ILONA SHARAPOVA.

  • @tamerswan: You obviosly don't remember him as a youngster. He looked completely different.

  • @tamerswan Whatever floats your boat :-)

  • @tamerswan He has admitted openly that she was "the one" - wish I could fill those shoes of hers. Think he is amazing.

  • @tamerswan I don't think anyone will ever fill the shoes of Carre Otis for Mickey - assuming its just easier for him to date young girls who are "easy come - easy go"- Safer for him maybe.

  • @tamerswan suggest you go read up a bit on the kind of person Mickey is. You obviously have no idea what he's been through and how NOT SHALLOW he is ..... if only everyone dissing him on this page would stop judging HIM by HIS "cover"

  • all the best for the future mickey, you deserve it brother

  • I don't care about the plastic surgery, I like the way he looks now. I love when he smiles and his eyes sparkle. It is very sexy!

  • @kindredhearts EXACTLY what I love about him. Those kind eyes ..... beautiful.

  • i ALWAYS LOVED THIS GUY.

  • that's the best line i ever heard I played music in L.A and it is built on envy for sure the whole thing is about who can u screw and climb on to get ahead music or movies same thing not that big of a diffrance

  • What a legend. And I still think he's GORGEOUS! I WANT ONE!

  • Mickey take care brother, greeting from Poland

  • Mickey Rourke is the epitome of the statement "The power of the human spirit!"

  • Mickey you are the fuckin man. Much respect to you always

  • Why should we worship someone who had everything and flushed it down the toilet? He's like Mike Tyson, "being real", but fuck that. That's nothing to be proud of or admire. All you did was waste something others would fucking kill for.

  • @devastateurface "Other would fucking kill for " only coz they know no shit about it, they never had it in the first place to know better, and are not content with what they are... Reasonably hence the OTHERS don't count... They might as well go and fuck themselves. THings only matter, if u think so... not coz other say so...!!!

  • 4:51 - 5:44 damn ...

  • plastic surgery or not, i love him the way he is

he's a good, sweet and sexy man

i'm glad he has a girlfriend and lovely dogs

i wish him all the best!

    <3

  • @AyaneLyra Let's hope he will die of lung cancer like his brother did.

  • @JuanMacready fuck you! piece of shit!

  • @JuanMacready your'e a piece of shit.

  • He is a great actor, and a brave soul to face his demons and make a come back. He'll always be a great actor to me, I loved him in the 90's and love him now. Keep up the great work Mickey, love your directness.

  • Thanx 4 posting this, Mickey Rourke is straight up and tells you where it's at! Great actor

  • Mickey Rourke is truely a great actor! Angel Heart, Barfly, Bodyheat, Rumble Fish, 91/2 Weeks, Sin City, Once Upon A Time In Mexico, The Pledge, Animal Factory, Spun, The Wrestler, Bullet, Man On Fire etc. Oh, so many great performances! Welcome back, brother!

  • He is real. He is truthful about his mistakes. I sure there will be many more perfect parts for him in movies. I wish him well.

  • he is a very cool dude but he DID have lousy plastic surgery done, reconstructive work for his boxing injuries or not. i still love this guy but he is crazy. crazy awesome too. it's good to see him work again, he was always one of my favorites.

  • very good interview with Mickey.

  • I really only knew his recent work, after watching this, I think he's a cool guy. The interviewer is a fucking dipshit.

  • Mickey Rourke is all heart.

  • A trainwreck? Not even. He was cute and nice looking before, and now ah dah hes just older, actually he looks good for his age, more character, tougher looking. Rourke gave a good interview.

  • thanks for this, great interview

  • He seems like a nice man. Good luck to him...oh and Mickey Rourke too.

  • Bar Fly was a really good movie too.

  • yes, its pers moragan, a patroninsing fukwit

  • yes piers morgan is the interviewer, he is a patronising , no talent assole

  • it's a bit harsh to ask rourke 'how he would have commited suicide!' come on piers! Get a grip!

  • this interviewers a dick to every1, But Rourke is proof, you can't take away what god gives. He is still fine as hell

  • mickey obviously dpesn't like to be reminded of bad memories, but this interviewer keeps digging in the shit

  • this interviewer is an f'n asshole and doing whtevr possible to dig into him and get good reaction for the sake of the story/doc.. he deserves a crack

mickeys been through it and back and humble, you can't help but like and feel for him. he's the man.

  • I throughly enjoyed this interview. I thought it was the best most candid interview I've seen him do. He really opened up and touched on a lot of topics with a wide range of answers to sometimes difficult questions. But ,I must say Mickey Rourke never stopped working even during the 90s . I liked Harley Davidson and the Marlborough Man.

  • it was my dream to fuck hard ottis thanks miky for the movie

  • I really like that he's so open to talk about all the shit he did and that he's not trying to blame it on anybody but himself ... I think he turned into a very humble person and I just love him :o) always did.

    Thanks for uploading

  • He's the real deal and basically a decent guy. After all the shit he's been through he can still smile and laugh about it. You've got to admire that.

  • Mickey's redemption and revival are unique in Hollywood.

The best thing is that he looks at ease with himself and his past and is willing to leave it all behind.

    Good for him.

  • This was good

  • This is a very good show about Mickey Rouke, with a great interview with him. Thanks for putting it up. I wish Mickey the best.

  • blah blah blah

  • face is just a face of mask.i don't think all of people can easily see someone's mind world or soul.but reality in a society is so cruel that not-good looking person has few chance to work or choose.

  • cool

  • i learned one sentence of wisdom from tv.open your chance = open your window of the mind.

  • He's laughing all the way to the bank now.

  • No - he is not laughing. He is walking to the bank an older, wiser man perhaps with the ghost of a sad smile on his face but he is not laughing.

  • you must a real clown man, to write a cheesedick comment like that

  • Well sean used a metaphor and I was only playfully toying with it a bit to make the point that I don`t think Rourke is necessarily gloating or arrogant about his return to success.

Do you realise that there are three spelling mistakes in your username? Added to that, there is a punctuation mistake. It is actually `Baba O'Reilly`.

Personally I would say that if you are going to try and pull people up about stuff then maybe do it with an username that doesn`t expose your own illiteracy.

  • If you are going to limit your communication to only one adjective then I would have thought "cheesedick" a pretty poor choice. If it even is an adjective, that is.

  • If you felt that your ass "loosened up" after the experience then sorry to be the one to inform you but the person you were having sex with was actually a man with a big penis, rather than a woman. Your ass would have been pretty much the same if you had been having sex with a woman. Still, if you found it a "nice experience" then I`m not going to be judgmental about it!

  • I should get on that man? Which man? The man who got on you and loosened up your ass? Don`t worry, I am sure that he`ll back for more. In the meantime, you can just keep repeating the word `dick` on the internet!

  • i hope he can learn how to cherish and protect his own body.cos everyone is only one of his in the world.you don't get it to copy, right?

  • we all know it's important to dosage and administration using medicine.dills,if you decide to do a surgery, the range and scope of this if you can suffer from mental and physical sides is the really essential factor of reckness.

  • Ruining sth. is so easy and simple. But,to repair and treatment is very difficult .You must have more patience in many aspects.Don't let your results be in hands of others.

  • i had a bad terrible lesson of using skin medicine from a professional doctor having been 40 years.now,i ues containing aloe vera of skin products avoiding sensitive symptoms.

  • I don't think it is better decision that he chooses to reconstruct all of his face .Probably,it could have been worse .

If i were him,I always doubt work ethics of doctors.

  • If I could go back in time, I would steal Mickey Rourke as a child and save him from his parents.

  • i like him still! he was absolutely gorgeous,a really a good looking man, besides he is really changed now, even his voice changed, he is still atractive, still has his natural charm,i always loved his smile, and something that's true is that he's always been a good actor,i remember The year of the dragon,Angel Heart..awesome films! i love Mickey.

  • I will always love Mickey Rourke. I would never kick him out of bed. lol

  • He Is A Great Actor! I've seen a lot of his movie and he is wondorful. Now we can feel in his way to act and in his interviews how much he has suffered, and that makes the actor better, and the man better, even if he hasn't always made good things,at least he has always been true,he has always said what he thinks.

I don't really understand this nose that is made about his face, of course his face has been repaired, his skin is strange, but i don't think that it has changed as much as people say.

  • i dont get why people think he went all joan rivers like oh im getting old i need plastic surgery, it was just to repair broken bones and stuff from the boxing

  • @worm082 Not true at all. Rourke had a face lift, chin implant, cheek implants-- which were later removed--and some other procedures, so it wasn't just reconstructive work. He didn't even box for very long. I've been a fan for decades and kept track of his career even at it's lowest points, so I've seen him age, as well. People forget that he's pushing 60 now. Most of these so called "fans" only saw him in 91/2 weeks and other high profile films so the changes seem drastic..

  • Mick's a hardass! His face looks good now. Looked pretty bad in the mid-late nighties.

  • @bigbendewolfe: Maybe the lower lip could have some work, it looks unnatural, like if it had too much botox or a ugly implant, but otherwise i'd avoid other surgeries, they could turn out bad.

  • I find him more attractive now, especially when compared to the overload of pretty boys in Hollywood

  • he's still gorgeous .and he even rocks more than before as well and he's so much closer to a true artist now coz he's been through all this.

  • I think he's handsome still, in a deeper more meaningful way.

  • What a down to earth interview.

  • In a way you are right; on the other though, it enables us to see how much Mickey has suffered in his life and what a beautiful person on the inside he has become; his authenticity and honesty are touching....

  • But I agree completely that the question "how would you have done it?" (blow your brains out) is a very stupid question. I hadn't expected that from Piers.

  • Great guy

he should now that he's 'on top' again

get his features fixed by the right people.

He reporetedly chose the wrong guys to fix his face

after he had it messed up during his boxing period !

  • he looks great to me, I couldn't care less about the plastic surgery.

  • @helgaapeldoorn yeah I agree 100%

  • What's the name of the song in the end of this part? Round 10:15?

  • Mickey by Toni Basil

  • Mickeys got ballzzz he's a dinasour. he's a man when it ment something to be a man.

  • Your not hardcore unless you live hardcore! Go Mickey!

  • The guy s super honest

  • mickey is the most interesting man and the best actor !!

  • legend

  • aww man i almost cried when he was talking about his brother, you can see how much he meant to him and that's so sweet!

  • this has been the most inspiring interview i've ever watched. mickey rourke proves if you live your dreams for better or worse that you can turn your life around and find success eventually.

  • It's not arrogance - it's honesty. He's never cared what anyone thought and he speaks his mind. He's got a depth about him that is rare and he's a great actor. I'm glad he's back! He's a survivor!

  • FUCK yeah! Mickey's a PIMP!

  • I really wish morons like you wouldn't throw words like 'pimp' around without understanding what the true meaning of the word actually is. It's a man who sells women for money, rapes and abuses them. Use the word and you condone the behavior. so check yourself and quit trying to act cool. Try compassion instead.

  • Are you serious? Are you THAT miserable? It's called slang. I'll do my best to live with myself after all of the prostitution I've directly caused when I supported the whoring of women on youtube in the form of using the word "Pimp" as slang in a POSITIVE way. Forgive me. I hope I've not sealed my fate in hell. P.S. By calling me a moron without knowing me you're condoning judgment and hatred. Better check yourself! LOL

  • I think Mickey is so fucking cool. Who cares about his face you fucking face fag.

  • arrogant ? you've got to be kidding me ??? I thought he was brutally honest about his past and owning his own !

  • When I saw his tears during talking to his daugther in the movie Wrestler,

the tear and his eyes look so pure... they are crystal clear.... that one drop of tear makes whole movie superb.

  • Thanks for posting this! I have only seen Diner and Sin City which I only enjoyed Marv. I have never found him attractive less so after hearing he was a tough guy. Yet after seeing him on tv at the Globes and here on YouTube I am curious. Who is the guy who hangs with young blonds then handfeeds small dogs at outdoor cafes? And he talks with pain and admits he messed up? I admire that he has strength to get help he is braver than many.

  • "It´s good to be back", we´re all glad you´re back Mickey...It´s like what that man says in 9:16, he might be strange looking, but he´s a phenomenal actor and he always was. An Oscar for him!!

  • He didn't do anything with his chin. You know he had a facelift for sure, he can't grow sideburns anymore, he lost his adorable puppy dog eyes with an eyelift and his smile looks a bit different because the space between his nose and upper lip is larger because of the nose job he had to get to fix all of his broken noses. But you know, I'm a huge fan, and I think he's looking pretty good nowadays.I don't want to sound mean because that's not what I intended, but you came across as very rude =(

  • Truth? You know this from what? Comparing a couple pictures on the net? Reading tabloids? That's like saying I can judge YOU as a person because I saw a couple of your posts on youtube. Do you realize how ridiculous you sound when you judge other people? Yeah, he's had a tough life and plastic surgery. Yet, he's amounted to more than you EVER will and people still love his ass. Post a video of yourself and see if anybody gives a shit you TOOL.

  • I was going to say the same thing. If you look at his face when he was younger, his chin and jaw is shaped in a way that makes his chin more prominent. But, with a bad facelift, it makes his face look out of wack along with some other horrible surgeries. I think he looks better than he did a few years ago though. Definitely not his younger days (who does), but better. I think he would look even better with a cleaned up look, but hey he's just being him, so I say do you! lol

  • Great post--all four parts...GREAT! All those remote pieces of information about him are (finally) tied together to produce his real story.

Very inspiring. I hope he get's involved in many more projects throughout the balance of his life!

  • Thank you for posting this interview! Piers did a stellar job getting to the heart of Mickey Rourke without being too visceral, well done. Loved it!

  • if he gets the oscar like he deserves this could be one of the all time epic comeback storys.

  • Wow... I had no idea this was his story--thanks a lot for posting this!

  • wrestler is a great movie. mickey you are fenominal and very handsome.

  • wrestler rocks!!

  • my best friend saw the wrestler and said it was the best performance he's ever seen.

  • I can't wait to see the wrestler. I always dug Mickey Rourke. I have no interest in happy cheerful actors like Will Smith or Brad Pitt. Nothing to see there.

  • Mickey Rourke may be nuts but he's a truly great actor. I hope The Wrestler is just the start of a nice comeback for him. That interviewer seemed like kind of a douchebag. It's a testament to the new Mickey Rourke that he refrained from punching that guy in the face.

  • I love Mickey. He's made mistake, paid his dues and now it's time for him to enjoy a fantastic comeback. I hope I see the day when he gets an Oscar. He deserves it! I can't wait to see "The Wrestler". I'm so stoked!

  • he looks normal now... and he's a nice guy! who would have thought

  • I like Mickey. Keep on keeping on.

  • Hey, thanks for posting this. Great interview! I'm glad that he looks quite normal now. I can now see the old Mickey Rourke in those eyes of his.

  • he looks cool now

  • I was fortunate to have Mick come into my then pizza joint on several occasions, and felt a strange kinship towards him,he was a true down to earth man, with allot of shit going on inside him.

  • after this interview I have a new respect and love for mickey,...

  • Me too

  • He really was something else and i feel his best film role is to come. Thanks for posting this...hes different and thats great to be yourself.

  • Respect and i love mickey and it's great haveing him back in hollywod.

  • watch barfly... He was on his way down, but it was artistry

  • yay! i knew they were going to use that song at some point =)

  • Great man, my respect...
