Review: Revlon Grow Luscious Mascara

Hello! i 'd like to puchase a black mascara i always use clear ones because i prefer to avoid smudges. Does this mascara has this problem. Is the waterproof version better?

@annannwang I asked a revlon employee through the chat on the revlon website about this and they said 'Revlon holds its suppliers of ingredients and components to the same standards. All chemical supplier purchase orders require confirmation by the supplier that it does not perform animal testing on materials supplied', so I guess that means they don't run 3rd party animal testing, which is good

Not to burst anyone's bubbles, but Revlon runs 3rd party tests on animals...which means they hire a company to test their products on animals. I knew Cover Girl, Maybelline and L'oreal all test on animals, but I didn't think Revlon tested until I did some more research and found out they 3rd party test. Not saying that you should stop buying their products, because they do carry quality make up products.

I've been using this product for about two weeks and I've noticed my lashes falling out a lot more than usual... which is weird since this mascara is supposed to help lashes be "luscious"... I've also been dabbing the tip of the brush with a tissue before applying, because too much product is on the brush, and it clumps really bad if I don't. I won't be purchasing this mascara again. I'm too much of a fan of the Maybelline 'Great Lash' and 'Falsies' lines...

this is what i do when i get a mascara whose wand is amazing formula not so much, and another whose formula is amazing wand not so much. Swap the wand/formula.. so far i have done this with maybelline great last/ loreal voluminous and sexy curves/great lash sephora/voluminous and works wonders

i have been using this mascara for at least five months now religiously and i have to say i have noticed my lashes don't fall out easily and definitely appear to be longer and see new lash growth regularly. i guess it just depends on the person and usage, its a product that requires time to produce those kinds of results

I absolutely love it. Its not drying, irritating or flakes. It looks natural. I started using it a couple of months ago because the meds that I was taking was making my lashes fall out and this has stopped it (It still does the normal shed) I did see some growth not much but it was enough for me to notice. I am happy with the product and have decided to try Almay for 30 days...

You obvs have to wait a while to see the growth. Its not magic. Like everything in life you have to wait to see results, this works more for those have long lashes, to make them longer..

ok... i don't wanna start a riot... but what is the big deal about testing on animals? Don't get me wrong - I LOVE animals (i have two dogs) but surely it's better to test things out on animals before humans use them and have a terrible reaction? Because as much as i love animal, humans are more important. Anyone agree?? :)

It would be much more humane for humans to test it because they can actually communicate pain, problems, etc. Humans would at least receive money for testing the products. Animals not only have no means of communicating with humans, but there are no benefits for them. They are forced through intense suffering for no...

This mascara is the worst. I now use it to comb my eyebrows because i dont know what else to use it for. blahhh. Clumpy ass lashes, and not only does in claim eyelashes to grow/ blah blah, IT MADE SOME OF MY LASHES FALL OUT. Dont buy this crap.

is the Revlon Grow Luscious Mascara comparable to the Yves Saint Laurent Faux Cils Mascara? I've been using that one for about 2 and 1/2 months now and I LOOVE IT! I actually wanna buy it again, but if the revlon one is a good dupe , than why spending 10 or 20 dollars( i don't know exactly how much the revlon one costs :D ) more, right?!

@Letsdiiscox3 Unfortunately, it smudges a lil' for me. (only on lower lashes. especially at the outer corner of my eyes) It doesnt flake whether it's dry or wet. t has a low clumping factor- makes my lashes look long luscious. I have been using it for about 2 months and have noticed an increase in length and fullness of my lashes. The effect might be different on your lashes, though. Overall, it's a great mascara. I'd rate 3 outta 5. And I might buy it again if i'm in need of a budget mascara
