I used to surf this place in the old days in the 80s on a Manta board and also an original Morey Boogey but only on smaller days. I tore my tendons on my left hand after the reef ripped and cut through it during a wipe out. I can't imagine how tough it was to surf it at this size. How's Doug Robson these days, he broke his back I think in the 80s/90s?

white rock is so fukn dangerous 2 people have broken there backs on it on one peice of shark island reef called white rock. white rock is the end bit of the wave the surge bit.

No white rock is the take off section, surge is the end section.

There are three main sections, white rock, mid peak and surge.

You can also count 2nd reef(outside white rock) or outside mid peak when its east,at least 8 feet and lowtide.

(Second mid peak and second white rock are seperate reefs)white can works a bit smaller(4-6) but mid peak second needs to be around 8 feet and lowish. or big period.
