  • I could eat the entire pot with ease.

It just looks so good and I am going to try making them with this recipe.

I love beans and I mostly eat heinz right out of the can and usually I eat 3-4 can's at a time.

But this simply looks so good.

    Beans fit for a king.

  • @MagicalSmosh Thanks for your lovely comment! I really appreciate it!

  • Hi Betty, I came to your video while trying to find a recipe to Black Bears Spicy Mustard, seems ShopRite is the only ones who carry it, so I want to make a mustard from scratch! Does your family have a recipe for Spicy mustard? I cannot wait to try this baked bean recipe you posted here. Looks delish!!! Thanks :))))

  • @MYHOLLANDGIRL Hi! I'm sorry, but I don't have a recipe for mustard. That is interesting, though; I will look around for one. I hope you enjoy the baked beans!

  • BETTY I LOVE YOUR VIDEOS! AND I JUST ORDERED YOUR BOOK ON LULU.COM THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR ALL OF YOUR GREAT WORK!!!!! I CANT WAIT TO GET THE NEXT BOOK!!

  • @bkay33 Thanks for your nice compliment! I hope you enjoy the book. We just made a new and improved index for the book, so you will be getting the new version.

  • I'm making this today, but basically doubling the recipie. When I cook I Iike to make A LOT so I can share it with our kids and friends.

Usually I wouldn't alter a recipie on the first outing but I plan on adding bacon and maybe some cheese just before serving. Wife nixed me trying to put a "crusty" topping on it...sigh.

Also I didn't plan very well and will be using some plain Kraft BBQ sauce mixed with some hot Kraft BBQ sauce. Because of that I'll leave out the red pepper.

  • I was wondering could I use ground turkey or chicken instead of the pork sausage? (just for a healthier choice) and my boyfriend doesn't like Mustard at all, could I leave out the mustard for this recipe?....

  • @Heavensblackrose Yes, you may substitute ground turkey or chicken for the pork sausage, and you may also completely omit the mustard. I will not make a lot of difference in the final result!

  • @bettyskitchen Thank you Betty :)

  • I made these last night for my family, and they were a big hit! What a delicious recipe. Would be a great make-and-take dish, as well. I don't think I'll ever make beans again any other way!

  • @ArchieLovesMe Thanks for the great feedback! I really appreciate it!

  • oh ok!

  • looks goooooooooooooooood! love the ear rings btw! I was thinking of making this and using 1/3 cup honey instead of the sugar do you think that would work ok? Great looking dish! Thanks for sharing!

  • @JimboJitsu Did you make it with the honey? That sounds good!

  • @theprisonersix not yet, I usually use honey instead of sugar I will be giving this a try. I am working on a couple of dishes from Betty that I will present as a BBQ meal tribute to her cooking! shhh don't tell her...

  • You're videos are awsome and very informative.

  • can you make a video on halloween cupcakes?

  • @sncbeautify I hope to do that. I'm a little snowed under right now!

    --Betty :)

  • Thanks I will look for them. I will watch for new ones and make them at Xmas. I'm in Canada and we just had our thanksgiving dinner. :)

  • Hi Betty I want to make beans from scratch and soak them over night. Then I wanted to put them in slowcooker. Can u do a recipe please?

  • Hi can u do a few videos on making a turkey with stuffing? Also help my ham is always salty

  • @TheMakeupjunkie23 I have a video for Roast Turkey and a video for carving the turkey. I also have a video for sage cornbread stuffing. I will be making more videos that are related as Thanksgiving approaches.

  • These really looks delicious, Betty. I have have tried many versions of baked beans before, but this one sounds unique. Thanks for another yummy video demo.

  • Those beans look so delicious. I might try and make that for Thanksgiving.

  • Betty's Baked Beans! OMG, i've been waiting for a Betty's Baked Beans!

My grandmother, Betty, on my mom's side, was known for her baked beans. I don't know the recipe, I have to find that out but I thought it was sooo cool that you finally made baked beans

  • Betty, this recipe looks soooo delicious!

  • Betty, I'm trying to eat less meat (only once or twice a week) so I would like to request a vegetarian meal. I've looked at many recipes on your channel but nothing has inspired me yet. Can you suggest some vegetarian meals or even do a whole video on one? Thank you for all the videos you upload, they're highly appreciated.

  • @markiemarkstyle This one would be easy with veggie sausage and veggie baked beans substituted in.

There are lots of good vegetarian vids elsewhere on YouTube...

  • Ooh you can see it steaming! I don't even like beans and this looks delicious.

  • do u cook everynight?

  • Looks good, and so easy with the canned baked beans- thanks Betty!

  • Ohhh delicious! These would go wonderfully with the baked potato skins you made a few days ago - I think I'm going to try that! :D

  • @slmaia Oooh! That does sound good!

  • Looks great!! YUM!!

  • that looks good. do you have lots of leftovers? lol

  • betty pleasemake fortune cookies i will give u the recipie please?

  • yummmyyyy

  • Looks good Betty good eats !

  • That looks delicious, Betty! Do you add bacon to yours beans? It's a must when I make beans for my husband. Is there anything you've cooked in your videos that you and Rick did not care for? Thank you for another great receipe! :-)

  • @TigerlilyCO2007 You can add bacon. One of my other types of baked beans has 3 strips of partially cooked bacon on the top. Rick and I have never posted a recipe that we don't think is good. I mainly have chosen family recipes, recipes from friends, and many that I have created myself. They have to pass the taste test to go in bettyskitchen!

    --Betty :)

  • That looks so delicious, Betty! :D Have you ever thought about being on the Food Network Channel? :D
