hemp is illegal because it replaces wood which is worth billions. same as the car that runs on water, same a nuclear fusion..... it wnt happen.
You might be confusing it with cars that run on a mixture of helium and oksygen. And when you ignite it, it will produce heat and water. It's a common misconseption. But i agree that it would replace wood, and nuclear fusion isn't fully developed yet.

But people are being misled - they think Ron Paul will make these things legal - he doesn't say he will. He says he will give the power to the states. It's not as simple as making it legal, he just wants the law out of the federal governments hands. But it will lead to legal.
Thing is, the main opposition to hemp are the alcohol and pharmaceutical companies, alcohol and heavy drugs which kill many more brain cells and does a lot more damage to people in general through addiction and overdose etc and i have never seen a dead body or a beaten wife or child because of a joint. That was great, I never knew that about him. Why can some people see and some don't? I know why. I consider myself to be a true conservative and I see no problem with legalizing hemp and marijuana. People make their own decisions with or without it anyway. You could make the argument that "gettin high" amplifies the idiocy therefore causing more injury and fatality than without it but people will ALWAYS find something else to turn to.

@briandominguez16 Dr. Paul isn't saying he wants to legalize pot or cocaine. What he is advocating is that the government is spending too much money on a failed policy with the war on drugs. He believes that the citizens have a right to choose, no matter how stupid this may be, to smoke weed or cocaine. The government should not tell or order people what not to put in their bodies. He feels that, with common sense and responsibility, people will choose what is best for themselves.
