Well.now it's a different era to Nightwish and of course for a new one you can have a new singer with the same voice as before. By the way I like Nightwish since ever but I never was convinced for Tarja's voice 'cause she has problems with vibration , etc. Anette is a good singer,not a pop one, to have a "normal" voice in spite of a lyrical one it's not the same as pop!

Anyway,Tarja's Nightwish was awesome and Anette's era too. Just New Steps =)

Tarja announced to the band that she will quit after the next album (Once) in 2004 because the things in the band were horrible - no communication, no trust, no friendship between anyone. She said she would tell that to the media but Tuomas said no. Now we know why! He wanted to kick her so it hurts, because he loved she but never could get her, plus it was a free commercial to the band. There are evidences to that! Do not be fooled!

I'm an American musician and even I know that Evanescense can't compare to Nightwish nor to Within Temptation, both these bands are technically, vocally, and instrumentally superior to Evanescense. That being said, I still like Evanescense just fine and have every album all 3 of these bands have put out
