alright the principle violinist is way to overpowering....the section should sound like one instrument...maybe i think this because of the mics on stage?

I like this interpretation, although it seems a little slower that what I'm used to, maybe by a very small amount, like 2bpms, but its still good...

This symphony is of high calibre. This movement in particular (1st) is amazing. I love the ending, I believe the last minute and a half. It becomes really soft, yet totally haunting. I think Shostakovich wrestled with a lot of anxiety his whole life. Krzysztof Meyer recalled his face looking like "a baq of ticks."
