@bmtimv The cost of living in Dallas and Texas in general, plus HUGE advantages in ease of life is way better than Cali (and most places) for sure. Groceries are WAY cheaper. No state income tax. I am a miserable Texan living in Minneaopolis. I took so much for granted in TX: hit the freeway going 80-85mph til your exit directly to grocery, dining, shopping. After, a stoplight -> access road - >freeway and repeat. Just doing everyday stuff in LA, DC, NY, and Mn (even Miami) is a total headache.

The only state with interstate freeway quality like TX I've driven were in Florida. Other states freeways and city infrastructure don't compare. Texas ought to take a lesson from Missouri and post 2/10 mile markers (5 per mile) example: NORTH I-635 MILE 0.2 0.4 0.6 0.8 1.0 etc.....that's how they do it in the Show Me State. To me, it would be fun, TxDot should spend money on more mile markers.
I went to Texas in March of 2010. I LOVE Texas! Really beautiful place. But, you can't compare it to California though. There is a major difference between the two States. I was going to move to Irving but I thought to myself, there is not much to do in Irving as much there is to do in Los Angeles. I rather live in Los Angeles than in Irving but still,Texas is still awesome!!!!! One MAJOR difference is the traffic, Dallas has LESS traffic than Los Angeles. Nice video! Greetings from California!

Dude! Dallas is awesome! I like visiting down-town because I like to be around tall buildings and what not. Since I live in the suburbs of Mesquite, I don't really see much of that going on around here. My guess is that down-town is like 20-30 away from Mesquite. Either way, great song. :)

we evac'd to Farmers Branch for Hurricane Ike. had a blast while we were there. we went to check out Speed Zone and had a good time there. the thing that amazes me is that for Dallas being a huge city it crazy how the city just ends within a few miles heading south on 45, you literally miss it if you blink. its like your right next to downtown and a minute later your out of the city limits already
ive lived in dallas all my life and it always seems to never stop growing, it seems like a city always under construction but i love it here i live out in the suburb of frisco now about 30 mins north of dallas and just love it great city to live for sure..
I miss Dallas so much! After leaving Texas I realize now how I took all our interchanges and ramps for granted! Only in Dallas can you be doing 80 in a 65 and have to move out of the fast lane 'cause you're moving too slow! Ah It's so exciting to drive there!

sorry my friend, dallas happens to be the 8th largest metroplex area in the US. Maybe if you include Arlington and Fort Worth, but I believe Houston takes 4th.

I think the TX freeway system has improved a lot over the years, though you still have those crazy short merges in spots in the state. I still don't get how you can yield to the flow of traffic that is going to fast. you really can't stop on those ramps and just have to time your merges. I think Houston has some of the worst interchanges and don't know if they ever improved them or not. Gotta love the state of TX as that is one state that likes to pave it all :)
houston has a somewhat of a fair highway system , yes is has it times of day where you do not want to be at all ..
there always doing some kinda improvement .. they just finally finished the latest big project from i-10 from west loop to west beltway 8 ,with a amazing wide freeway for nearly 20 miles..major plans from wat i kno for fact are concentrated on east loop 610 on nearly the whole eastside of town
Dallas is so awesome. It is very spread out and flat, but there is so much to do there. Highland Park is one of the higher income areas. The northern suburbs are very nice and family oriented, but south Dallas is very scetchy and dirty.
I just flew back from Dallas yesterday, I've got family in the suburban area there, and I really loved it, didn't wanna go!! I've always wanted to move out of Virginia and Texas seems so much better.. Virginia sucks :(
I agree with you. I was in Dalas last July to visit family in the northern suburbs of Dallas. I loved it, I am planning on moving out of North Carolina next year to live down there.

i miss driving down these highways..
i always took driving in dallas for granted :(

ive lived in dallas all my life and it always seems to never stop growing, it seems like a city always under construction but i love it here i live out in the suburb of frisco now about 30 mins north of dallas and just love it great city to live for sure..

I miss Dallas so much! After leaving Texas I realize now how I took all our interchanges and ramps for granted! Only in Dallas can you be doing 80 in a 65 and have to move out of the fast lane 'cause you're moving too slow! Ah It's so exciting to drive there!

lol, try driving anywhere in San Antonio, you can't go anywhere in this city with out running into construction and traffic jams lol. I think this is on place where TxDot screwed the pooch on.

hahaha i live there traffic flows great until rushour then your fucked but it normally only takes 15-20 minutes longer on 35 30 also i dont know about other big cities so i cant really say anything...except this video must have been shot on a weekend.....i love dallas and this video shows just how big this little city of dallas is and they didn`t even show the mixmaster and how confusing that fucker is...great video.

sorry my friend, dallas happens to be the 8th largest metroplex area in the US. Maybe if you include Arlington and Fort Worth, but I believe Houston takes 4th.
But either way both are gargantious cities.

HEY, here's an update for ya! Dallas-Ft. Worth is now the Fourth largest metro area in America, with 6.3 million. Houston is now Sixth with 5.7 million, Miami is Seventh, and Atlanta is Eighth. Definitely a population shift pointing Southward.

I think the TX freeway system has improved a lot over the years, though you still have those crazy short merges in spots in the state. I still don't get how you can yield to the flow of traffic that is going to fast. you really can't stop on those ramps and just have to time your merges. I think Houston has some of the worst interchanges and don't know if they ever improved them or not. Gotta love the state of TX as that is one state that likes to pave it all :)

houston has a somewhat of a fair highway system , yes is has it times of day where you do not want to be at all ..
there always doing some kinda improvement .. they just finally finished the latest big project from i-10 from west loop to west beltway 8 ,with a amazing wide freeway for nearly 20 miles..major plans from wat i kno for fact are concentrated on east loop 610 on nearly the whole eastside of town

Dallas is so awesome. It is very spread out and flat, but there is so much to do there. Highland Park is one of the higher income areas. The northern suburbs are very nice and family oriented, but south Dallas is very scetchy and dirty.

I just flew back from Dallas yesterday, I've got family in the suburban area there, and I really loved it, didn't wanna go!! I've always wanted to move out of Virginia and Texas seems so much better.. Virginia sucks :(

I agree with you. I was in Dalas last July to visit family in the northern suburbs of Dallas. I loved it, I am planning on moving out of North Carolina next year to live down there.
