Nowadays, while he is known as Trancecrafter, he does make real trance music, but if you ever read the highest rated posts you could clearly see that he admitted that this tutorial sucked and he didnt know anything then. This song doesnt carry the characteristics to be called trance; it falls into eurodance

You should change the title into ''how to create trance music in fl studio PART 4'' or else people will think its the 4th version of FL Studio. But good stuff anyway, keep it up!

I'm having the same problem a couple others are. When I go to make the piano melody and let one note sit, it keeps going into a little melody of it's own that I didn't make, and I can't figure out how to make it not do that.

Very good help but you kinda lost me when you went off and made the piano part on your own because on my piano part now instead of being a steady held note it is like three different notes in one hold it goes dun dun dun dun and it starts out low on the first one then it gets higher as it makes the next dun's.

with all due respect to Tonic for his tut....this style of trance really died out 10 years ago. You'll listen to ASOT, but you'll never hear a song with an off-beat bassline such as above and every othwer fucking FL trance tutorial....
if your serious about producing trance, you have to get technical with your basslines...
and also, the kick-hat-snare-hat-kick etc... doesnt seem to impress anymore either. Sander Van

thanks for the helpful vid! ive been able to follow it so far except for some problem that has come up. once i did the layering and put the notes into the concert piano, it ate up my cpu and now starts to slow down and skip when i play the piano part in the playlist. also, i get a wierd necho that i dont want. any ideas? what are your comp specs? my laptop aint old but maybe you just got a good computer.

hey my piano wont sound like that if you hit the key it has the normal sound but then keeps going higher in pitch if that makes any sense

boost bass 400-800 hertz, boost 1.5k area, boost 120-125 hertz and you'll get a more crispy punchy sound to the bass.

thanks for the helpful vid! ive been able to follow it so far except for some problem that has come up. once i did the layering and put the notes into the concert piano, it ate up my cpu and now starts to slow down and skip when i play the piano part in the playlist. also, i get a wierd necho that i dont want. any ideas? what are your comp specs? my laptop aint old but maybe you just got a good computer.

850 GB storage, Intel 2.4 GHz core 2 duo processor, 3 GBs of RAM, Vista Ultimate (32-bit), Nvidia GeForce 7600 GS.
Those are my specs. Not to mention I'm working with a 250 watt 4.2 surround sound system.
