the commments on this vid are real funny.. maybe not during the cyclone from 2/20/2010, but tdb have definitely pushed their boundaries as a jam band much further then umphreys or moe.. see 12/30/99 and 12/31/99, 10/5/02, 10/23/07 just to name 4 out of probably 300 super experimental disco biscuits shows

im not ganna say bisco sucks, but i feel like they don't push the limits like other bands to. i've been to many a bisco show and i was disapointed erytime of how generic thier jams are.

@notmefuckingname I think moe. has more generic jams than Bisco. The main reason I like Bisco is because a lot of their jams remind me of trance, which i am a fan of. I also hear a bit of '99-'00 Phish influence in some of their jams as well. Id take Bisco over moe. or Umphreys any day.

@rawkus1167 i didn't say moe or umph has better jams. but when it comes to non generic, umph def takes the cake. and im not a huge umph fan but umph goes so many places with there jams. And i'd personaly see a moe. show over a umph or bisco, but i've been listen to moe. sence i can remember so i just would choose them ovr umph and bisco. and theres fuckin great vibes at moe. shows. I'm not a huge trance fan so thats probubly were ours differences are.

@notmefuckingname Yeah I def. think the electronic music thing is where our difference lays. I came into the jamband world as a fan of electronic/dance music already so I tended to gravitate towards STS9 and Disco Biscuits and late-era Phish, when they were experimenting with a lot of dance-music textures and styles in their jams (mainly '99-'00). But as for songs I think moe. is some of the better straight-up songwriters in the scene. Those first couple of moe albums have some fantastic tunes

@kevflinn see 9/17/09 shimmy (to name one jam) and pretty much every Pimp Blue Rikkis. They also have been doing it a little to recent overtures. Overture > PBR from boston this year had this as well.

not frequent, but it is certainly something they have been trying to incorporate a bit more.

yeah dude i haven't heard a single track of the biscuits sound remotely like dubstep at all. but seriously, as i already said. THEY ARE MONO-TONAL. ..their singer NEVER changes the key he sings in in any song, or any part of any song. ..it's just always the same. & it's not very good. but whatevs.

You obviously have no idea what dubstep is, or what constitutes the difference between electronic genres (i.e. house, trance, deep house, tech house, progressive house, psy trance, dubstep, techno, etc).
