I have brick breaker for the alltell black berry, and the "wormhole" issue doesn't seem to exist in it. what is the wormhole that seems to be affecting you?

A few of the levels are really hard to get past without losing too many lives. The second time through the 34 levels is really REALLY hard. But starting with the 3rd time through the 34 levels, it's a piece of cake. The balls always move relatively slowly. From then on, you just rack up points and accumulate lives, always trying to avoid a wormhole.

Im so happy i found ppl who shares the same intrest as i do in this game ive been playing the game since the summertime and im unable to stop i was begining to think i was a loser who had nothing else to do.... But im real pissed off at this game im stuck at level 31 with a high score os 15,200 i thought that was good untill i saw highscores in the millions with hundreds of lives i need some tips bc im on the verge of breaking this phone. lol jk but i do need some tips.

I've seen on the high score list people with over 1 million points but they were only on the first level. Does anyone know how that's possible? Is it a cheat?

On the first level, yes, but perhaps for the 80th time. Unfortunately, the Leader Board doesn't let you know how many times through the 34 levels the player was on. Even on the hand-held, it doesn't show up. That's one little detail they forgot to handle.

sorry about the obnoxious 3 comments, it went up 3 times i dont know why, but i just leftt the game running while i slept and after a few days i woke up and it said try again, so it had finally come back

I believe you. My guess is that the ball is still "in play" as far as the software is concerned, and it (the software) is still recalculating its new position second by second. It's probably using integer math (instead of floating-point), so until there is a number overflow, it will keep incrementing the position counter. But once there is an overflow, so that the vertical position goes negative (i.e., below the bottom wall) then it counts as a lost ball and says, "Try again." Thanks!

you know if you wait long enough the ball will come back right??? Ive had mine dissapear several times, one of my friends even had it dissapear 3 times in two days on the same game and hes still going. Im at 800,000 right now

That's what I've heard, but I've never had the patience to wait for it. Do you have to leave your BlackBerry on the game, or can you use everything else without leaving it on the game, and still get the ball back?

One of the strategies to avoid wormholes is consciously letting the bricks shift down more than just once before you send the ball up into the canals. Then you will not have the wormhole-vulnerable crevices at the top.

That's correct, and it's easiest to do starting with the 2nd time through the 34 levels, because the bricks shift down immediately upon the first paddle bounce. So it only takes two paddle bounces to eliminate any crevice wormholes. But during that 1st time through the 34 levels is where I usually die. Bummer.

I only play while doing something that doesn't require all of my brain to be engaged and my hands also happen to be free. That adds up to a lot of time during even a very productive day.

is the scoring the same for the curve? i noticed that the screen is slightly different..i just dont understand how it's possible to get a score that high and get that many lives...i get to level 17 and have only had a max of 10 lives before dying off

The BlackBerry Pearl version has bugs in it, the most painful of which is the Worm Hole. But other bugs include making the game really, really easy once you get past the 2nd time around all 34 levels. From that point on, only the Worm Hole can kill your game.
