@lootee I'd say he is one of the hardest characters to master along with lei and king (even though this one has kind of strong attacks you could do easily but he's still hard if you want to use him properly.) Well, I give you my opinion being based on tekken 3 characters, which is the game I played the most ;) (and by the way, it's like one of the best tekkens ever made :D)

Yoshimitsu is the best Tekken character ever! It's not Tekken without him for me. I wouldn't buy any Tekken game if it wasn't for him. He's so awesome! And he's got some sweat combos!

@manuelito1233 no, they are used for starters in a game, to use this video for something you must be able to know some basic moves of Yoshimitsu, and also know their attack range, and some pokes wouldn't do any harm

Its a legend... for default controls Ps3

1=Square U= Up

2= Triangle F= Forward

3= X D= Down 4 = O  B = Back

Example B+2 1 would equal Back+Triangle,Sqaure

UF+4 Upforward (or diagonal up) + Circle

Yoshimitsu is my 2nd. But Armor King has (/had) the best combos ever before tekken 6. One grapple leads to another and you perfect the other guy =)

The problem is that namco really nerfed yoshi on the xbox360 and ps 3 version which really pisses me of his rage dmg sucks his skills arent nearly as effective as they used to be and i could go on explaining his frame data and lucher issues... in short yoshi is made weaker but i still have him as my main cuz i love his figthing style. futhermore i really hope that namco makes good use of their ablility 2 patch and balance him out again

Every time I do B 1+4 it does no damage, but it doesnt have to be B 1+4, just 1+4, am I doind it wrong?

i think it has to be a counter or aerial attack to work.. most of the moves changed in tekken 6 BR. and that includes the new patch last thursday :(

Well, I don't know if this is the direct reason but...

Yoshimitsu has a couple of moves that do damage to him self... Including Suicide... FF 1+4, b3, b4... etc... I Guess the use for them could include activating Rage? I rarely use him but I use b3 to activate rage when my health is almost there anyway.

i also use that move to lower my health into rage mode but the prob is that u can go on beating ur opponet black and blue with your rage mode for 10 sec long till he reaches rage mode which can undo all your work with just 1 hit its just not balanced enaugh

Yeah I like suicide for an unexpected KO, but most of the time I would "Meditation" then the harakiri (similar to suicide, 1+3 in medatation) for a realy unexpected KO!

But still, doing damage to himself is one thing, but healing the oponent? Well I guess it could get the out of rage, so yeah it has use.

@cpmc1 Well, I don't have Tekken 6 yet, only Tekken 5 for PSP, but I think Soul Possession is a pretty useful skill against your friend, who might probably suck a lot, so you give him an advantage by weakening yourself a bit. It looks cool, too. I'm guessing that its just a pointless move that the programmers put in, like Julia's "Hello" move, or maybe its for noobs (such as I) that accidentally do Soul Possession instead of the other Soul move (I forgot the name). xD

Other move is called "soul syphon".

Have been playing whith it, and it is actualy usfull for getting the oponent OUT of rage so you can ko them safer (such as whith "slap u silly (spelled with "u" and not "you")).

OR you can do it to get YOURSELF into rage, though it risky.

Yoshimitso has ALOT of moves that get him into rage cuppled whith his other moves makes for a unique playstyle. I love him!

nah that ability does as much damage to yourself to your opponent if you are right next to them so it can be really useful

this is the notation systhem for tekken players online ill discribe it in short:

1=square 2=triangle 3= X 4= circle

futhermore you have d=down f= forward u= up and b= back so B 1+4 means back square circle futhermore you have stances which in yoshis case are called kin an nss and so on. you can look the notation systhem up on tekkenzaibatsu or watch the level up your game series on youtube (or on iamtekken) which cover the basics of the notation and gamplay systhem and in deth char tacs. The letters and numbers are the notations of the buttons you need to press. Letters: U - Up D - Down F - Forward (Toward Opponent) B - Back (Away From Opponent) Numbers: 1 - Left Punch (Square on Playstation) 2 - Right Punch (Triangle on Playstation 3 - Left Kick (X on Playstation) 4 - Right Kick (Circle on Playstation)

@MrAldersgrense serious? it is a time shift between commands. without mastering it, u will not get the electrified version of his uppercut, therefore ur comboing abilities will suck.

@MrAldersgrense *n* stands for neutral, meaning let the stick return to the neutral position (not going in any direction) before inputting the next direction. The easiest way to do this is simply let the stick go and input the next direction fast.
