Yeah it's that good. I love Big Bend. If you go, make sure you ride down to Castalon and see the canyon. Nothing like it any where, and a lot of people miss this part of Big Bend.
Your video of your rise into Green Gulch, along with the inspired of the Skynyrd jam brings tears to my eyes. My wife and I spent a week at the lodge in 2006, and a part of us remains there. Your video helped renew our urge to return. Thank you.
This is so wonderful to watch! I've never ridden a bike so it's great to see what it's like longer than 30 seconds or so! And this park was my home for 3 years. To see you all on this 7-mile stretch up to the lodge and restaurant is so cool! I just wish you could have kept the camera rolling as you got there (about 1/2 mile after it shuts off). This long trek show the real vastness of the park - the mountains take their time getting closer! I hope you enjoyed your time there as I did!
Great video...I'm from Houston and plan to make a solo bike ride there next yr. Did ya'll make Alpine your home base? If so where a good place to stay in Alpine? Thanks for sharing your trip...ride safe.
Yeah, Big Bend National Park is a fantastic place. Have been visiting this park every year since 1985. It's 125 miles from Alpine to Big Bend, so if you don't want to stay in the park, Study Butte would be closer. Our favorite camping spot is in Rio Grande Village. Camping in the basin is great also. Hope you enjoy your trip.

We stayed in Terlingua at La Hitas. Great place.
I used a RAM mount on the bars with a 5 Mega Pixel digital camera, Sony Powershot.

Forgot to ask......what kind of camera and mount set-up did you have to video your ride?
