Hey there. Well this was done in traditional animation and then shot with a digital camera and reditted within the program Final Cut Pro but the animation itself is traditional 2d and on paper. :)
Lovely animation. Really makes me sad though because I have wanted to be an animator since I was little but there are no courses nor art colleges where I live and I don't have the money to move away.
Mike, congrats on the film--I don't think I've ever said that in person but--your film is simply amazing. Can't wait for more stuff from you in the future--keep in touch. Again, Congrats!
This is brilliant! As an aspiring animator this is truly INspiring. I've taken animation classes last year and this year, and it will be my major in college when I start in the fall. I was blown away. Keep it up.
mike mike mike.... this is great.... its very well done my friend... i wish you good luck with your future and career .. just make sure u keep in touch... wish i could of seen this at the senior review
hey, i just got this crazy cool idea for your ending credits . . . why not play though your character concept art when the credits roll. similar to the first ending theme of ghost in the shell - stand alone complex. you did such awesome work in adv. characters env., it'll be a bummer not to show it along with this awesome piece. y'know?
That's really nice, better when it's put together like this. I love the big guy. I really like how you filled his body to the screen to make him look even bigger. Really nice work!
First, the choice of music for this piece is fantastic. It sets the mood beautifully.
Second, though most of the art itself seems rough because it's uncolored, the sophistication of what you have these characters doing is beautiful. There's a lot of implied motion and action in just a frame in many of these cases, and mixing that with the forward-moving animation in the way you have strengthens it. This is very well done.
I REALLY want to learn how to do this. What would be the best software to learn on?

That's quite wonderful...All by your lonesome?
How long was the process?
kiwigarage 3 years ago
Yes. It was quite a process and ambitious but it was doble. We had two semesters to work on it as part of our Senior Studio/Thesis requirement.

Amazing. I took an animation class and know how time consuming, and taxing animation is. Great job.

That was brilliantly animated, I'm really looking forward to any re-visitations of this style and/or world. Here's to a future cinematic masterpiece!
