That was actually pretty well done. Murder ballads are pretty overlooked these days, so it's good to see folks reviving the tradition!
Are you going to do any Scandavian-influenced murder ballads? There are so few clips with sackpipa music on YouTube, it'd be awesome to have sackpipa music combined with an early 20thC murder silent film.
The rest of the picture actaully has a fair share of scandinavian folkmusic. I have been thinking about doing something more scandinavian. I have a special instrumental song in mind that according to legends was performed by satan in a small village in sweden which made everybody dance themselves to death. Currently I am working on animation of the british murder ballad Sweet fanny adams.
OMG - I love the legend you mentioned about Satan performing a song that made the village people dance themselves to death - for some reason, that makes my writer's voice start spewing out ideas; what a provocative legend!
