Thanks for posting this, created using the Yamaha TX81Z & the Ensoniq ESQ-1 - cool synths. The producer Babyface at one point had two TX81Z units in his studio, both of which he kept set to a bass patch, one detuned from the other. This became a part of his signature sound. The best synth patches for both these classic synths can be found at manymidi.com
@Loetrumpet The DR-202 is a MIDI sound module with drum ktis, and bass sounds as well as a built in sequencer. The MPC is a sampler, but also a sequencing workstation. Think of the MPC as your computer and the DR-202 as a VST.
@banginlikean808 I use it mostly for hi-hats, crashes....If I'm making something more electro/techno, then I will use it for kicks and other percussion sounds. On this song I can see that it's just hi-hats for a little extra fill.
Did you program that rhodes sound yourself, or is that one of the presets? I have an esq-1 myself, can't remember any of the presets sounding that good.
@bigdru76 google "Virtual Piano Scales" and click the first link, it's really nice to see the scales/chords layed out in the key you want to play in. From there you just have to mix and match to find what you like. Good Luck!
Laid back and easy. I've never been able to get that vibe going. You do your (classic) equipment justice, especially around 2:57 . I look forward to more.
Thanks, sometimes I get in that super chillaxed mode and this is what happens, I'll sit there and jam on the keys for hours, this is just a little glimpse of that. I messed up a lot and it was sorta just on the fly.
Hey great stuff...have any advice for programming a good fender rhodes patch on the ESQ 1?

@McPhale, It's actually on a memory cartridge that I got with the ESQ-1. Maybe I could send you the settings.
