  • Hey great stuff...have any advice for programming a good fender rhodes patch on the ESQ 1?

  • Thanks for posting this, created using the Yamaha TX81Z & the Ensoniq ESQ-1 - cool synths. The producer Babyface at one point had two TX81Z units in his studio, both of which he kept set to a bass patch, one detuned from the other. This became a part of his signature sound. The best synth patches for both these classic synths can be found at manymidi.com

  • that`s one sweet pile of gear you got there

  • wow nice man. its real calm and chilled. i like your set up too. i got two tracks up that i use just the mpc 1000. orale!!!

  • i got a similiar setup----that's whats up

  • hello friend, what is the difference betwen thr dr. 202 and the MPC 2000XL?

  • @Loetrumpet The DR-202 is a MIDI sound module with drum ktis, and bass sounds as well as a built in sequencer. The MPC is a sampler, but also a sequencing workstation. Think of the MPC as your computer and the DR-202 as a VST.

  • I have an ESQ-1. Any chance of getting some parameters for that Rhodes patch? Love the feel of this one. Chris

  • @ChrisSousa9 I'm going to put up a video of the parameters soon. been away from youtube for awhile

  • Really beautiful Thanks for sharing. What are you using the electribe for?

  • @banginlikean808 I use it mostly for hi-hats, crashes....If I'm making something more electro/techno, then I will use it for kicks and other percussion sounds. On this song I can see that it's just hi-hats for a little extra fill.

  • @subtexthiphop Really nice subtext nice set up also. look forward to more.

  • Did you program that rhodes sound yourself, or is that one of the presets? I have an esq-1 myself, can't remember any of the presets sounding that good.

  • @McPhale, It's actually on a memory cartridge that I got with the ESQ-1. Maybe I could send you the settings.

  • @subtexthiphop That'd be awesome.

  • nice beat , man.

  • dope vibe

  • cool man real on the chill tip. Good job.... Love me some rhodes.

  • nice and laid back, well done broham

  • this beat is mad cool yo. 5 stars all the way check out some of my beats rate and comment thx...

  • Thanks, I'll check your videos out.

  • Smooth. Im trying to learn cord progression. any tips?

  • @bigdru76 google "Virtual Piano Scales" and click the first link, it's really nice to see the scales/chords layed out in the key you want to play in. From there you just have to mix and match to find what you like. Good Luck!

  • Laid back and easy. I've never been able to get that vibe going. You do your (classic) equipment justice, especially around 2:57 . I look forward to more.

  • Thanks, sometimes I get in that super chillaxed mode and this is what happens, I'll sit there and jam on the keys for hours, this is just a little glimpse of that. I messed up a lot and it was sorta just on the fly.
