  • The Roman empire was both it was a republic with an empire, the U.S is the same.

  • Empire.

  • Real news must be a fake news outlet. Shame on them.

  • For George Washington, the US was a "nascent empire."

  • this guy is a retard

  • Comment removed

  • @Lumotaku He seems to have a point. U.S. global military prescence is the result of manifest destiny, a belief that the United States is destined to extend its power throughout the world. The United States slaughtered Native Americans, used the destruction of the Maine to justify going to war with Spain and used the threat of nuclear weapons to invade Iraq all for the possession of foreign assets. This guy is right: its all to assert dominance.

  • There is no doubt that America is an empire. Americans are in denial.

  • Osama bin Laden; recruitment video features pics Iraqi babies wasting away from malnutrition and lack of medicine (New York Daily News, 9/28/01). Albright & the terrorists may have shared a common rationale--a belief that the deaths of thousands of innocents are a price worth paying to achieve one's political ends--does not seem to be one that can be made in U.S. mass media. 1995 U.N. Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) report that 567,000+ Iraqi children under 5Yrs age had Died Sanctions

  • So you would rather have them come here and kill another 3000 innocent people or maybe millions with a nuclear attack before you will do anything? That's ridiculous! Sure we are not perfect, but I am not going to wait for them to come after us. We go after the biggest threat and sure we try to use diplomacy to make things better, but we are not an empire. An empire conquers and keeps the land they attack, we didn't keep Japan, England, Germany, Mexico, etc...

  • @demitrikennelkoff1 What do you mean you didn't keep England? When did you invade England? Don't you mean England didn't keep the US?

  • @demitrikennelkoff1 No, but we kept military bases in those countries and greatly reduced their militaries so they posed no future threat to us. Almost every single country we've been at war with has a U.S. military base within its borders. We've never left.

  • @Threlil - You are entirely correct. George Lucas created Star Wars just a few years after the US evacuated their embassy and CIA offices in Siagon, South Vietnam.

The Empire's Deathstar could be a symbol for the far-reaching military power of the Pentagon

  • THERE IS A PROVERB IN THE BIBLE, IT SAYS THAT THE CHINESE PEOPLE WILL MARCH TO WEST. IT MEANS THAT THE CHINESE PEOPLE WILL DOMINATE THE WESTERN ALLIES AND RULE THE WORLD

  • napoleon, next the germans, next vietnam, next taliban....

try to have the world in peace... ever tried? america?

  • @trachtenkapelle Why do we need world peace when we can go to any country and take you're natural resources god I love america reminds me of the empire from star wars.

  • No we want to win the hearts and minds. You put them under this credit / debt system where the iluminatie Bankers own everything and you have Democrazy! Com on its about the New World Order Govt ! One Empire ! Global Elite run this country. Average American dosnt want more taxs ,debt , war , killing but iluminatie want the lithium ,platnium, oil and precious metals . Its same game . Set them up so you can rob them.

  • If the U.S. wants to keep its so cherished and beloved democracy and republic then it will have to dismantle its empire. Look at Rome, although there are many differences, in order to see what happens when a country begins to get too powerful and when bickering groups start use partisanship.

  • he worked for reagen dont listen

  • America, fuck yeah!

  • lol 1:35 is bullshit, America has always been an been the same,,,lets not forget the GENOCIDE of the NAtives that lived in the USA whos lands were stolen an 95% of them murdered

  • @TinySoldier33

At least the ones left don't have to live in the stone age.

  • @XKS99 well that makes it all ok then......

  • @TinySoldier33

Who says the Native OWNED the land in the USA anyway? Just because they LIVED there? They had no more right than anybody else. Don't even go there about "stolen" land.

  • @DontBuyChinese who says? they lived there for thousands of years idiot, would you say the same thing if the Chinese army invaded current USA and killed off 95% of the population and claimed all 50 states as theirs? you would think that is ok? dumbshit, ur prolly onof those ppl who say "god bless America" and are in denial that it was founded on racism, genocide and stolen, haha God bless the next genocide mass murder rape and stealing to i guess right,

  • @TinySoldier33

The Chinese would never be able to land their troops in US soil without being anniliated. Stop comparing apples to oranges. Native Americans? They consisted of hundreds of tribes who often fought and killed off each other in droves, even if they didn't have some deep, dark political agenda. What PIECE OF SHIT country are your from, shit-for-brains?

  • @TinySoldier33

Quit exaggerating the extent of what American settlers did. Americans were just one other group of people the indians fought on top of fighting other tribes in endless wars between themselves. You don't know jack shit about American Indians except the crap that was spoon fed to you in the media. So shut the fuck up, before somebody bitch slaps you.

  • Respond to this video...

Hey tiny soldiers, take you TINY 1/2" dick, stretch it to the limit, and use it to go fuck yourself.

  • @daguangrong so was yo moma

  • @daguangrong buy their music and emulate their culture ,dog .

  • a shame it is an empire

  • @daguangrong

Do you know what we do to racists? and imbeciles who fail to recognize that good and bad elements of every race exist?...Your kind is no better than the self proclaimed "Gods Chosen"...Or "Master Race"...Both have failed to validate their claims...and both will suffer until they recognize the error of their ways...You will share their fate as well unless you let go of your misplaced hatred.

  • @daguangrong

Thank you for exposing your racist attitude....Your ignorance to the fact that Negroes are simply just another member of the human race, negates the necessity to take you seriously....

  • Both, stupid. Empire is necessary, it is just what kind of Empire you have, a tyrannical one, or a republic. Empire is largely economic, and we need our allies. The model of isolationism was proved wrong with the world wars and cold war. Those bases are a way for military officials to interact with each other, and for the military to move throughout the world unhindered. We can't protect our allies from here in the US. This guy is essentially writing off all of Europe.

  • @daguangrong

The role of SPAM in conventional warfare is well documented....Before the product ever made it to the retail market it was distributed in sea rations and MREs at the front lines....You would do well to recognize what constitutes SPAM...Imbecile

  • @daguangrong

In 2020 China will have freedom...all 600, 000 of them

  • What does our embago of Cuba do? Keep sugar prices high, which is the reason it continues.

  • This video sounds like the argument about bugs in Starship Troopers.

  • I love it: "Good vs evil". Ask yourself...who has benefited from the wars that come about every 15-20 years?

Wars are always over land. Who's land is in need of protecting every 15-20 yrs?

    (rhetorical question)

  • That guy sounds like Marty from Back to the future.

  • @SamsSpaghetti why would anybody waste their time taking canada as if its important to anybody??? a stupid scenario

  • @SamsSpaghetti yeah russia has an army 10 times the worth of all of those so i dont think so

  • @SamsSpaghetti

Thank You for your ignorant comment Spaghetti....The point you so sadly missed was that if the Russians were not kept at bay by the Americans, the English speaking people in Canada would be dead and Russian speaking people would be in control of the country...Imbecile

  • @timetodepop whats with the way you talk like your higher up then anybody else you sound retarded pull the cucmber out your ass and get a woman, nobody cares about opinions on youtube much less yours its not worth the price of piss, ignorance is bliss dont you think?

  • @joemoin Nobody cares about opinions on YT nor should they...But it is entertaining to spew completely outrageous and absurd ideas out to a volatile crowd in hopes of stirring an equally insane response...The real world that i live in is much to serious...To me, this is simply an escape without leaving my desk.

  • @timetodepop someone who has to escape from life doesnt have much of a life......just sayin

  • @joemoin

That may be true in some other circumstances....But my life is so full of responsibility, and interaction that the need to escape is for sanity and levity...Too much of a good thing can kill you just as quickly as not enough.

  • @timetodepop what are you tryin to prove to me?? i dont care, preach to someone else

  • @joemoin

Prove?...To you nothing...To others I am demonstrating how difficult it is to speak to social dullards...Thank You for proving my point that attempting to communicate with you in a civil manner in laymen terms is a complete waste of time. You had claimed that I speak like I am higher than others...The point is that you are unreachable on any level above gutter speak. The intellectual plane that you are traveling on is comparable to that of a retarded child.

  • @timetodepop no you misunderstood its not that i dont want to talk to you ( which i dont i realise that now) its that i dont give a horses ass about your life story

  • Full of shit-Period.

  • Despite all its facts, I don't trust anyone one-sided program that calls themselves "real" news. Just because you believe you're right doesn't make you right, you fucking morons. I will not listen to narrow minded idiots who can only see things from their points of view and claim their news is the only "real" news.

  • Can anyone say without a doubt that having american bases around the world is a bad thing? If there is anything going on one in any part of the world war, terrorism dieasters of any kind who is the first to respond it isn't the UN I can tell u that much its the USA we're always the first ones to help people around the world and that will not change. who would u rather have china to have bases around the world, how bout the euro's? I am for the bases around the world

  • @Thomas831831

Why does America have bases around the world?....The answer is simple...to protect our allies, and capitalism from tyrants and dictators...We protect many of the same people who condemn us for doing so...I was recently lectured by a Canadian who is disgusted with our use of military force...Ironically, it is the lack of his countries ability to protect itself and its vast territory that is one of the reasons we use such force...They would speaking Russian right now if not for US.

  • AMERICA IS THE WHORE OF BABYLON.

  • @TheMambavenom and africa is the land of cavemen and aids

  • @ford46power. Haaaaaaa- talk about fucked, You pointless brainwashed douche bag!

  • Well....It is true that America has a huge strategic advantage militarily...Then why do you people insist on picking a fight with the biggest kid on the block?...Dont be stupid....Play nice or get blown out of the sand box...Dont elect evil dictators or support terrorist organizations...and maybe our rich tourists will visit you and help out the economy..We will land 747s instead of Stealth bombers...Imbeciles

  • @timetodepop sadly, humans are naturally stupid, their are only a few smart ones who are forced to work for the stupid and that is what causes most of the worlds problems

  • @inailboards

How right you are....Stupidity is epidemic....90% of the worlds population shares a dismal IQ score of 90-110...These products of a defective gene pool would never be allowed to pass their genes to the next generation without mans interference....The sad part is that these useless eaters outnumber intellectuals by at least 10/1...They go through life totally unaware that their existence threatens the evolution of the entire species, and they think they have a right to life..Ironic

  • @timetodepop You see when the environment and population will begin to collapse , millions will die and those who will survive will be the fittest and smartest . IQ doesnt mean anything that much , The only thing people truly want is to live a life that isnt fuck shit but they are people who like that state of shit. You think you hold the anwser to make this place better ? I doubt anyone knows

  • @captainparady "You think you hold the answer to make this place better"

Yes indeed I hold the answer...We have had the answer for millenniums...History holds the answer to not only our past but to our future...Our nature prohibits us from changing the outcome...therefore it repeats...Once again we will be scattered into small tribes, and forced to be obedient to nature...The Native Americans never exhausted a single resource...We will have few to exhaust...this will force obedience to nature.

  • dont be stupid ppl it could go both ways

  • FUCK TH USA. LIES LIES!!

  • @ervin920 dont like it get the fuck out we dont need you

  • wow 2009? glad you caught on.

  • werent the US intervening Chile?

When Russias wheat embargo we bought wheat from Spain?

you are full of shit !!!

  • werent the US intervening Chile?

  • No no no, an Empire is something quite specific. Look at the name: Empire, Emperor, the Emperor goes above the King, while the King goes above the Prince and other feudal titles. The Emperor rules an Empire inside of which are a number of kingdoms, sometimes maybe 5 or maybe even 15 or who knows. It is a size-matter isn't it. The USA mainland is a gigantic Empire in its own right already, ruling over about 50 'kingdoms' !

  • Say what? Everybody is an empire? People don't stay put where they were? People who don't stay put must not neccesarily be colonialists since they can go to places where nobody lives like the indians and australians. In contrast to western colonialism. Second, the USA mode of empire is to strike, bribe and assasinate in order to loot countries without being there as an occupant. A remote controlled colonialism. More than 360 military bases in 148 countries. Not even the UK has ever had as many.

  • TOO MUCH COFFEE

  • I think the anchor had a 10 minute brain fart.

  • this fellow speaks to thefact that counries dont profit from the wars, what he fails to understand is that its the individuals , and their friends who profit personally from these conflicts

  • 9/11 happened because of US troops being based in Saudi - that was the reason given by OBL

  • @urbanguerrilla64 bullshit... it was an israel job so that US and the blind masses that say "YES" can start the war on terrorism (muslims) .. remember the jews and their muslim enemies ?

they provoked US on starting this anti-muslim crusade... which killed US... and now Israel is without a solid partner... hehehe >:)

  • America will crumble from within, let's just stand back and enjoy the show... BTW we can make it much more painless and less bloody If we force our governments to expell all US troops from our borders and embargo the wretched place. Let their hunger for oil and power consume them as they try to declare war on the entire world.

P.S. Let's help the muslims fight the good fight against the american Impirialists, "All it takes for evil to succeed is for good men to do nothing"

  • Fuck the USA rot in Helll

No need to waste more words for this SHIT hole called --- USA

  • the country where more and more people are living below poverty line, more people are living on govt's funds cuz of unemployment and gap between rich and poor is widening and you are talking about more funds on army the shit they are doing just for wars and the biggest terrorist on earth the zi0nist israel and they will be destroyed due to this...every one will see as destruction process begun

  • "The United States spends upwards of 1 trillion dollars on its military..." it's actually ~663 billion dollars per year, or 4.3% of our GDP. Since America has the highest GDP in the world, we can thus afford to spend more than countries with lower GDPs. In terms of percentage of GDP, countries such as Saudi Arabia, Oman, or Eritrea spend far more than us.

  • @CobaltX07 It used to be much higher, but we got a new president : D

  • @EmperorOfMars Wait... Obama cut the funding by 340 billion dollars? Wow I obviously missed something somewhere.

  • @BONAFIDECOBRA Dude I was being sarcastic. Hence the term "fuckfaces".

It seems like these two "fuckfaces" hate living here. Read the whole comment and understand plz. Sarcasm.

  • Listen to these two fuckfaces. They HATE living here. "America is the greatest evil ever. Nothing here is right. We should look to other countries for examples of true freedom. China, Russia, Iran and Syria." This guy should "tolerate some risk" himself and then see how he feels. America is the greatest country in the world.

    Simple fact.

  • @tru7hmnb dude you have a distorted mind.Women are stoned to death in Iran.

  • @BONAFIDECOBRA

No womans are getting stoned in Iran this is Zionist propaganda.

  • @BONAFIDECOBRA

in the west, everyone gets stoned

  • @tru7hmnb

    so the danger is double

  • Let me guess.... these idiots at "the (wanna be) real news, are actually IN AMERICA? And using the freedoms our troops DIED for?

And SHUT THE FUCK UP about the indians.... If it wasn't us, they'd be speaking Japanese or German by now.

    FUCK NUTS!

Paul is an asshole! Makes me want to be a chief designer at Armalite!

  • I object to this whole Anti-US rant...US friendship is a good thing to have....look at all american frnds Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Oceania, EU all have better quality of life and better countries than those who are against US and what it stands for

  • poor native indians!

  • Good commentary in this video. I don't think I would put so much emphasis on the "Physchic thrill" theory as a basis of support for US policies, but I agree with the underlying premise that we are an expanding empire and our foriegn military bases do not exist to protect our sovereignty. They are there to maintain influence in foreign regions through power projection.

For a great easy-to-read thesis, read "The Limits of Power" by Andrew Bacevich. He hits the nail on the head

  • USA will loose I am promising you ... war based on LIES is Adolf Hitler idea.

But still uneducated Amercians who believe Osama Bin Laden is EVIL doer from HELL ... make this war possible and there is many of them.

hahahahahaha WHat a Jewish master mind bullshit. Osama Bin Laden - CIA right hand.

  • fuck the usa fuck nato all greedy capitalist every action is governed by makin money and creating puppet states

  • Our country is not an empire at all. Empires not only dominate other countries, they CONQUER them. But most of our countries territory we bought. We BOUGHT the Louisiana Territory, the Oregon Territory, Florida, and Alaska. Hawai'i was perhaps the only country we ever actually conquered. Britain on the other hand CONQUERED India, Sudan, the Zulu, the Ndabele and other. The USA is not an Empire, it's actually a Hegemony. There may be corruption, but the US is a Republic still in the end.

  • @TakumProti

You make a rather fine distinction. I don't think the people we dominate make such a distinction. We are trampling on the principles of our greatest historical leaders and in the process we are losing our republic to expansionist militaristic policies. Policies that Americans ought to reject.

  • Traitors to the Republic shall be SHOT! starting with Paul J.!

  • wow, is all i can say!

  • Look at this jew. Big fat nose and a bald head. What a faggot. America is shit go suck a cock.

  • CAncer (USA) is gripping the world ... people are suffering ...

USA rot in HEll ... GOD bless all muslims who are fighting against CANCER ...

  • @aviomaster awwwww

  • @aviomaster You will lose the fight, I promise you.

  • I won't be happy till the USA is Sporting star destroyers!! na USA is fine. least we manage are power unlike Empires of the past taking over everyone one lol. if we invade a country with a few years the USA gives it back. unlike the USSR

  • @Dogmeat1950

I admire that attitude. No one should keep a country for longer than needed. Thanks for being such a benign ruler.

  • @foketesz you being from Argentina should know better. Invading a Country and trying to claim it as your! Falklands Island ring a bell?

  • @Dogmeat1950 Those Islands belong to Argentina Fuck Great Britain!

  • @HolyjesusAsshole No they don't! it was GB that found and nobody lived on them! it would be like the USA claiming Bermuda from the British lol.

  • 1 trillion? um the budget this year was 560 billion. where the hell do you get a trillion!? lol.

  • Rothchilds run the world bank. the world bank runs the corporations. more guns and bombs please. why sure? no problem.

  • ya because we dont roll over like france? USA the greatest country in the world. we must protect our freedom and he freedom of others.

  • well your right if protecting freedom means conducting wars of aggression and terrorist operations. Fight fire with fire right?

That will only fuel terrorism and that's what people like you have to realize. Look at your gvts actions since the end of WW2, major terrorist operations, wars of aggressions, etc.. All major war crimes. Kinda the same you tried the Nazis for, you know?

  • @xdeliriumx1 The Us has never committed a war crime. All the wars we have been in were to protect liberty or to remove tyranny. The Iraq war was to get rid of an evil dictator guilty of war crimes. What you dont realize is peace is a two way street and our enemies dont want. How do you get rid of weeds? do you ask them politely?or do you pll out its roots? So Please explain what you think is a legitiment war crime we have committed

  • @pankakepower

who appointed you guys the global weed removers? go care for your own crops, will ya? or accept to yourselves that your government keeps selling you wars disguised as righteousness. The rest of the world already knows that. And now it seems there's no real money to pay for it, so watch out for a very strange set of future events. There's no road map for where you are going

  • No war crime? Your right the US has committed war crimes and plenty of them.

'All the wars we have been in were to protect liberty or to remove tyranny', that is simply bullshit no offense. You need a political science course or something. The media, school, the whole system only gives sorta of a one sided story. The US is great, removes tyranny, spreads 'democracy' and freedom everywhere, blablabla...

  • For one the Iraq war was a war of aggression justified by LIES.

Of course Saddam was a tyrant but it didn't stop ur gvt from doing business with him and supporting him all these years while he was killing his own population, where were you then?

He was a far greater threat back then in the days before the golf war than when you went in 2003 but that is looked over. Try 'Noam Chomsky : Iraq and Saddam Hussein (video)' for a summary of what I mean, there is plenty you can also read.

  • So please enlighten me then im very curious.

What tyranny were you protecting people all over Latin America from by installing dictators that murdered them with death squads? Chile, Guatemala, Argentina, Panama, Nicaragua, to name a few in that region. Often when some countries would move towards real democracy and start thinking of their population through social policies and not those of the US. Well the US would intervene, overthrow the regime and put in place a friendly dictator. Thats

  • @xdeliriumx1

watch southamerica these days. It's beginning to take shape again. All the pieces are in place. They are triggering social unrest to make the middle classes cry for military intervention yet again. Nothing new. But hey, when you have a hit you just don't touch it. This has worked beautifully before.

  • @foketesz Yea well they constantly lie to get what they want done, they exaggerate threats constantly and the media are accomplices. It was true during the Cold War, in which the US was far more superior both militarily and economically. The US was the true (and still is) power on the quest for world domination and exploitation, while claiming they were defending humanity, ya right lol.

They are a terrorist state and their goal is to stop real progress and social change, any means are good.

  • what they refer to as 'democracy', keeping those favorable and serving US interests in power. They NEVER have a shit about the real people that live there that were getting brutalized and murdered with US funds. The list is very long and goes worldwide, like literally.

Let's take another example in Indonesia in the 50'2, you supported the rise to power of the dictator Suharto, one of the biggest mass murderers since Hitler, that is no joke. What did you protect Indonesians from then?

  • 'The Iraq war was to get rid of an evil dictator guilty of war crimes', ya it has great but he was your friend before and you supported him when he committed many of the crimes you speak of. What is that then? Hypocrisy or just misinformation?

Another interesting case is even in Colombia where you fund brutal regime also, so funds to the army and its paramilitary allies. Who by the way murder Colombians and are major drug dealers, you know the so called 'war on drugs'.

  • I could go on and on like this but im tired of this. Where did you get this idea? High school? Or maybe just your tv right or any mainstream media?

That's the problem, you think your country is this wonderful nation that spreads love, peace, freedom, democracy everywhere. Protects the world against 'evil tyrants', please don't be so naive.

The US is like any other country and goes after whats beneficial to itself and runs over that oppose or refuse to submit to its interests.

  • You have always blocked the so called 'peace process' in the Middle East because in reality they never wanted peace. You support the extremely brutal regime of Israel, that's another huge area full of war crimes and terrorist actions. Or even your interventions in Iran many years ago, installing the brutal Shah, you know right?

If you really dig you can find many other cases of crimes and terrorist actions but when the US does something its righteous and they are the 'good guys' fighting tyranny

  • and always, I mean that literally like constantly, well those who don't submit are 'evil' and 'terrorists'.

See you call Saddam a criminal, which is true of course, but your gvt has committed MUCH biggest crimes than he ever has and has killed or supporting the killing of millions of peoples over the years and that is no joke.

Maybe you will think im full of shit or some anti-American and w/e its your loss for refusing to see through bullshit and getting really informed and staying blind, later

  • @pankakepower

you don't have a clue what freedom is. That's why when you "free" a country, you stay there

  • @foketesz you stay there for a short time to make sure they can get back on there feet dumb shit. and protect them while doing so.

  • WE learn history so we do not repeat misstakes of the past . USA has learned nothing , They bring 1939 back again ... Nazi Germany (USA) history repeats again ...

USA is largest threat to the world peace ...

  • nah, sure the usa causes alot of blood when they fuck up whatever country doesnt agree with them... but if there was no USA to keep the world inline, im sure there would be alot more war for territory and resources

  • keep the world in line? What do you mean?

All the USA does is crush does that dont privilege its interests. Like all over Latin America for YEARS and elsewhere. If a country's leadership tried any attempt at democracy and actually care for its people. The US would intervene and crush it, to put in place dictatorships to leave in place those favorable to their business interests.

America is the greatest threat to world security and the biggest terrorist state.

  • @xdeliriumx1 ur just jealous bcs you come from a pussy country

  • @xdeliriumx1 Well then Im glad to be an American and glad to say i am a military family. When im older i will be more than happy to kick some taliban ass

  • @xdeliriumx1 I would partially agree with you in that the US has supported dictators in Latin America but I think you're oversimplifying. Many of the dictatorships were homegrown and probably could have gotten into to power without US aid.

I would say a more accurate description of my gov'ts intervention in South America would be that it intervened when the interests of Latin American elites stood in opposition to those of USA elites. Otherwise the two for the most part cooperated.

  • I completely agree

  • @aviomaster

USA learned a lot, and it's applying it now. This time they'll get what they missed in ww2, and fire some nukes to stir the muscles.

  • Comment removed

  • please don't invade my country

  • watch?v=GsUtvOW6SR0

  • If our present strategy against muslim extremism fails, then one muslim country after another and even non-muslim countries will fall to the muslim extremists. As these countries, now controlled by muslim extremists gain nuclear weapons it can only end in the nuclear holocaust that the world has so long tried to avoid. Our only option would be to launch a first strike of neutron bombs against all muslim countries.Maybe then moderate muslims will have then courage to stand against the extremists.

  • the domino theory again? A first strike of neutron bombs against mulsmim countries?

Did they shit in your brain?

  • Only time will tell. Over the past forty years I have been right about so many things that others considered preposterous at the time and I believe that I am right about this. The only thing that stopped the domino theory from playing out in S.E. Asia was the fight between the Khmer Rouge and the North Vietnamese communists after the U.S. was pulled out by Nixon and Kissinger.

  • idiot !!

    :-)

  • We did not create the Taliban, it did not exist until after the soviets had left and the puppet govt. was destroyed. The Taliban was created by the neglect of western govts. The paks never attacked soviet troops. Mr. Fein suffers from a pre-911 mentality, a recipe for disaster. North Korea exists because Pres. Truman's ego got in a "pissing contest" with "His Majesty" Gen. MacArthur's ego. MacArthur was right about dropping A-bombs on the CHICOMs above the Yalu river.

  • "No one can threaten our sovereignty","The Japanese will never attack us, we're too strong", Adm. Pye on the USS California 06 DEC 1941.If the one murder that Mr. Fein speaks of was one of his loved ones would he not expend blood and treasure to stop it?Iraq was invaded for the wrong reason officially, it should have been because of Sadam Husseins non-compliance with the peace agreement. The "go anywhere mentality began with the racist Gen. W.T. Sherman, who said war is hell and made sure of it.

  • Our murder rate is enhanced by the "Greedy Hollywood Hypocrites" who promote, and glorify illicit sex, drug and alcohol abuse, violence and all other abominations suppported by anyone who makes money off of these entreprenurial activities. Including politicians and government bureacrats who build careers, health and retirement benefits from the agencies that are created to deal with the probelms that are enhanced by self-righteous, sanctimonius hypocrites like Bill Maher.

  • I might add, that I too like the rest of the human race am a self-righteous,sanctimonius hypocrite. However, I don't have a public stage like Bill Maher and the other Hollywood and dinsoaur media Hypocrites in which to "strike the self-righteous, sanctimonious pose" of Napoleon, or Mussolini, or even George Bernard Shaw's mimicry of Mussolin's pose. According to William L. Shirer even Hitler did not "strike the self-righteous sanctimonius pose"at the Partei Kongress. I digress.

  • Executive tryanny then continued when the unconstitutional executive orders began with FDR while the soviet agent Harry Hopkins steered him into a foreign policy that was more advantageous to the Soviet Union than the United States. The unconstitutional presidencies continue to this day."Psychic thrill" ? Is that the new propaganda catch-phrase like "Missile Envy", "Penis Envy"? "We do not need the military in order to be wealthy and prosperous"? Sounds like unilateral disarmament.

  • Executive tryanny began with "Old Hickory" Andrew Jackson, America's first ethnic cleanser. It then continued with Abraham Lincoln's "Imperial Presidency" while stopping the emancipation of slaves is Missouri and punishing John C. Fremont for doing it. Next came the "Progressive" tryanny of Woodrow Wilson , his segragation of the military and attesting to the truth of "The Birth of a Nation", while destroying freedom of speech.

  • Timothy McVeigh's extremism was based on personal hatred while the Muslim extremist bases his hatred on religious extremism, and that my dear friend is a vast difference. The difference is that McVeign did not blow up his bomb while he was still sitting in the truck, I would assume that he was out of breath while retreating to his pre-parked car.

  • The growth of overseas U.S. military bases started with Commodore Perry's(Belmont Banking Family) bellicose entry into Japan and continued with Teddy Roosevelt's "Splendid Empire" because of the need for coaling stations for seaborne projection of troops and supplies to defend the Philippines from the Filipinos.FDR's stumbling back-door entry into the european war under the tutelage of soviet agents like Harry Hopkins expanded bases even further and extended into the "Cold War".

  • After creating a power vacuum by destroying the Spanish Fleet at Manila Bay, A Britsh and a German fleet were waiting to occupy the Philippines if the U.S. had not done so. I most certainly would not have wanted to fight the Muslims in Mindanao while wearing wool uniforms and using an inadequate weapon like a 30/40 Krag or a 38.cal. pistol.

  • can't wait for the day that america turns into a fucking empire. if it don't crumble like a bitch, the world will be dominated, especially with no soviet union around anymore

  • "In order to ensure the security and continuing stability, the Republic will be reorganized into the first Galactic Empire, for a safe and secure society." )))))

  • been running up my peace-not-war playlist and the last five have been realnews, oh dear, guess i need to make a donation!

over expansion can kill a business

over extended lines was "comical Ali's" military analysis of Donald Rumsfeld's terrible invasion "strategy".

he doesnt do strategy like he doesnt do diplomacy right?

appreciate your sentiment doctorvision but things are going well when your secret service is getting SMALLER not BIGGER.

britain backed america cos we didnt like this about USSR

  • Military bases are not what empires are buit from.

there are 200 countries world wide, the UK hase military bases in 80 of those, is the UK and empire too?

or how about the British commonwealth? is that an empire too?

lol there are no empires on earth today, the EU is the closets thing to an empire

  • The British, even when they controlled 1/4 of the earth, ruled largely through surrogates. I think they had like 1000 officials in Nigeria at the turn of the century... something miniscule. But the basic argument that I would make is that money and labor are fundable. We have at least some similar influence in most countries, which is not economic, but military (intelligence, troops etc). Anyway, Democracy puts on a good front. People still argue athens wasn't an empire...

  • , and the Republic...

    Listen carefully.

  • Fein has a wonderful point to make, but he rubbishes it with his poor conduct.

  • This Fein guy is a weenie. Someone needs to slap him in the face.

  • Hmmm. . . . . .Coffee. . . .I love coffee.

  • A full pot of coffee full of sugar and mixed with Lucozade. . .

  • There is a correlation between wealth and empire. Being an Empire allows you to steal vast amounts of resources from other territories and use them to booster and grow your economy. All the first world nations became industrialized through their empires. The Dutch, the British, the Russians, the Japanese, the French, the Germans and the Americans. C'mon.

  • finally someone that actually knows what they are talking about. :)

  • Bruce Fein drank a full pot of coffee before this interview.

  • @bulldogger 2 potsss.... lol

  • I agree with your comment if the above were true, but the US hasn't been a Republic for a long time. When Presidents steal elections, when Presidents are assassinated in a Coup, the rule of law and the will of the people no longer exist. Take back the country and reinstate the Republic, this will end the empire, but if your under the illusion the Republic is real you can never bring down the empire.

  • Personally I don't care about freedom and democracy in any other country than the US. As long at it dosen't threatin the US and it's intrests, I don't care if countries have permenant dictators I only care about the US. Let the rest take care of themselves.

  • great now i wish the pentagon and the rest of your fellow country men follow your example and stop spreading death and destruction to the rest fo the world.

  • lol.. you dumbass... lol

  • lol, whatever, u have anything intelligent to say troll?

  • So look at how the British Empire declined. Or the Roman Empire. They got too big. We've been expansionist forever, I don't see how you can argue against winnable wars... but what are we DOING!? Our security is critical, lets agree, but we have chinese hackers stealing our military secrets... submarines surfacing in our NATO exercises. We need a smarter navy and a stronger intelligence service, and to cover our asses, not stick out our necks and spend money.

  • Fein doesn't seem to factor in the economic interests behind U.S. wars unfortunately. To him they're all a matter of politics or domestic security.
