This is exactly how I am. After going without "junk" for about 2 years, and a few occasional binges, I've recently found a fondess for "sweets". Now I'm trying to wane myself off it them, because I keep bingeing on them.
i am experiencing the same thing! i went cold turkey for about four months..then went back to bad foods because of the stress of my daughter having surgery..now i am going cold turkey again and this past week has been so hard....
ooohhh I don't envy you right now. I've had to kick it 3 times now because stupid me even though I KNOW what will happen... I go and eat it for whatever reason and it comes back full force. I can treat myself but it just can't be too close together. Too many bad meals in a row and I'm right back in there. I try to leave atleast 4 days inbetween or so if I am gonna have something bad like a small burger. Good luck! Please don't give up. It gets better.
lmao.. sounds like a drug addict speaking .. "If you can kick it , just some how kick it" ... not teasing you , just pointing out how powerful drug addiction is ... and how it's sort of like food cravings. i guess
Cheeseburger queen right here too.... well, previously. I completely agree with you!! The more you have crappy foods like that, the more you crave it. Thank you for this video!! I needed it this week :)
Do you miss the cheeseburgers? I miss not missing them. Does that make sense? lol In other words, I wanna go back to where I didn't miss nor want them.
Hi I have read all that stuff before but couldnt really wrap my mind around it. Thanks for making this video, made me stop and think about it. I am going to start fresh today also.
I couldn't really wrap my mind around it before either. I thought maybe I just happened to have alot of will power and that's why I didn't want to eat that stuff. NOT TRUE! I had detoxed and didn't even know it. Now that I got readdicted after I hated it for so many months, I know that detox is real.
aww Cindy I hope it helped you :) You can do this! If you lived nearer I'd be calling you and bugging you to go work out with me all the time. I need a female gym buddy. My husband makes me feel like a weekling when I see him lift more weights than me LOL
I went through the food detox too. I now call it poison and it is in a way. If I give in it is bites only, I actually had 4 french fries a week ago. :)
You can do it, I am 17 months in.
I don't crave broccoli either but I eat it about 3 times a week. I crave fruit, wonder if it is the sugar?
I have always thought that we have to start our diets over and over again. I catch myself going over calories and I have to start over again.
NO WONDER I feel like a drug addict, but with food. It sounds like if you stick to the healthy stuff, you really can stay away from the bad stuff...easier than if you try to pepper the bad stuff in with the good stuff here and there. VERY good info! Thanks for this video...this is EXACTLY what I needed to hear!! *hugs*
You are totally correct. Your body does crave what you put in it. When i first tried the raw life style, my body started to crave raw veggies, raw dishes etc. Now I crave veggies cooked mostly. Not cheese gooey goodies :-)
Whenever I get off track, I go back to smoothies and green juice. I even have a special recipe "appetite suppressant" and my mind and body snaps back.
I totally agree with what you say about bad food habits. Everyone is different. For me, bread, butter, pizza, ice cream, and beer are my triggers. I finally got to the point 5 years ago, I would never eat any of those things. NEVER. In fact, I didn't eat any of that stuff for 2.5 years. Then, little by little, I started going back to that junk. Of course I gained weight back. Now, I am back detoxing myself. It is an addiction. It is true. You do start to crave healthy food once you detox.
Great video. It makes sense that your body craves what it is used to you eating. Good luck letting go of the fried foods. They're just so good but I'm attempting to do the same thing. :)
im glad u had the lightbulb moment...thats a "ah-ha" moment i guess.
i tried to lose weight my whole life and my AH-HA! moment was when the love of my life dumped me 4.5 months ago. so use anything as motivation and ull reach ur goals. i didnt like taste of brocoli and such but u have to learn to like it. ur right. adapt!

I am not sure I'd be able to just eat 4 french fries. I'll just stay away from them since I'd live on them if I could LOL

Peppering in the bad stuff does make it harder for me atleast. Some people are ok with it.

Love this video. Its so true, your body adapts. I used to think broccoli was ridiculous, now I eat it to fill up and really enjoy it!

I love steamed broccoli. I used to only eat it if it was smothered in cheese sauce.
Imskinnyinside 3 years ago
So true, one piece of chocolate can easily lead to binging... but one piece of broccoli...never :)

haha...you made me giggle. So true. I have never known for broccoli to start a binge.
