I love this country, but we sure do seem to have the dumbest, (& laziest) law enforcement in the world. The dude got away after he was busted for bludgeoning and rape of this poor little girl. Then they found him 2yrs later, and he served only 34 months?! Insane! That almost makes me sick to my stomach. Back then [and probably today], rapists and murderers served months, while burglars/drug dealers served years. It is the most backwards stupid thing in the world. Baffles me.

@scratchneck It implies that I don't make me angry. I agree that I should've expanded on my views somewhat to avoid any miscommunication on my part. I meant that I'm not the angry "hang 'em, flog 'em" type, but something about the extra vulnerability of a child makes me angry when they are hurt. It does with the elderly and other groups too. I just mean that when I hear news of someone being shot, say, I think 'oh, that's horrible' and move on with my day.

It doesn't affect me that much - which I think is far from being sick in the head, and more that I have a soft particular spot for children. As far as a scale of evil goes, it's more of an emotional response than anything. That's not to say children are more important but that I think murdering a kid is particularly sickening. But I think I've at least clarified my comment, I hope that no one thinks I'm sick in the head, and I reckon that's this matter closed if you're ok with that

He then split out the back and after a few minutes the cops kicked in the front door and then found the victim unconscious and bleeding and he was "in the wind."

They called an ambulance and saved her life.
