  • I say this in school earlier today. What these kids did to him made me angry. I felt like if I was alive during that time and I was in that school I would kick the crap out of those kids. And I'm not even a violent person.

  • i watched this in school today, everyone was in tears. </3

  • The song is "I'll Rise" by Ben Harper.

  • @billbbp The music in the film sounds diffrent

  • @billbbp In this film the song sounds diffrent

  • whats the name of the song. Someone please repley.

  • It's being shown at my schools GSA club. Thank you!

  • I'm not gay but I saw this and I could sorta somewhat relate because I was bullied for like a week I think? Some kids like those who kicked the book out of his hands thought they were funny to throw an egg at me in school... Well.... Let's just say later that day after school I found those same kids but this time I brought my bat and I told them "if you fuck with me again I'll make your brains look like what that egg you threw at me looks like" never got messed with again

  • We watched this at school today!

  • solid

  • Watching this tomorrow at school. Looking forward to it as I'm somebody who's an in the closet lesbian.

  • My mother told me to stop being so openly gay so she wouldn't loose me. I told her if I was still in the closet I would already be gone.

  • I watched this in school today. I cried but only one understood. My best friend comitted suicide earlier in the year because he was being bullied for being gay. It broke my heart. This movie showed everyone on my school team their wrongs. My grandma is a homophobe and I hope my friend's and Jamie's stories will change her.

RIP Jordan, you will be missed.

  • I watched this in school today. Made me so sad. this film really touched my heart

  • What a great film. I will do whatever I can to support SPLC in its mission to stop bigotry before it starts.

  • thank god someone made a film about bullying coz it is horrible what some people have to go thru i had to go thru emotional bullying and it eventually resulted in me moving schools and the bully is still in the school doing what the hell she likes and the school did squat all about the bullying

  • We watched this is school today!

  • Today Jamie came to our school and spoke about bullying it was a very moving movie

  • i went to school with the main chracter suing the school in the movie..like the actor not the real dude

  • i watched this today at school... i cried :'(

  • I remember seeing this in school. And the bullies here are incredibly stupid!

  • How can a Canadian guidance counsellor obtain/order/purchase the documentary?

  • I saw this today a social studies. It was pretty sad how those guys were bullying him like that and the principle didn't even do anything.

  • KingJo - Thanks for those heart felt comments. Bill

  • I saw this movie today in homeroom 7th grade! EVERYONE was tearing up and i just felt really bad for him and it really makes you think about it, how you can relate, what has happened to yourself. Bullying is a MAJOR school conflict and it causes even a DEATH percentage. Jamie Nabozny is now my hero.

  • i went to taht highschool, lol

  • Thanks to all for the kind comments about the film. In just over 4 weeks, we've sent out about 30,000 free copies to schools.

  • I watched this today in GSA. It was SUCH a good video! I started crying and I'm not an emotional person.

  • i saw this last night and it was powerful!!!

  • This is so great!!! If my college experienced then it would be great!! :)

  • Good documentary...

  • If you ask me, bullies in high school often tend to be easily-led conformists who act like neanderthals and go along with beating up whoever the crowd wants to beat up. They conform to their gang, they conform to closed-minded stereotypes about manhood and gayness...I don't get what's so appealing about that. Or, that just says that we need more intellectual outlets in the public schools for kids to individually express themselves, a lack of which seems to result in kids resorting to bullying.

  • Wow! Well done!!! Hard to believe that this happened in the last 15 years. There should be a posting about this on IMDB.com. Bravo!

  • This is dumb. Haven't you ever heard of "Out In Silence"?

  • @devedsmith umm no it's not dumb it's happening all around the world. Just because you don't understand exactly why it happened doesn't mean it's dumb he didn't tell anyone yet they thought he was gay so they bullied him.

  • I hope my school's GSA advisor gets this Documentry...I would love to see this this.

  • Landmark Theatre in West L.A. is showing it till August 31st. 12:00 Noon showing.

  • This needs to be shown in every school.

  • THIS IS WHAT I ALSO WANT TO DOCUMENT ON FILM, I AM A FILMMAKER IN ATLANTA AND I WANT TO FILM A FAMILY WHO HAS LOST A BULLIED SON OR DAUGHTER FROM SUICIDE, PLEASE CONTACT ME. GREAT VIDEO HERE

  • Nothing more pathetic than the (false) sense of entitlement (some) people get from being straight as opposed to gay that they believe they can hold over others!

  • Fantastic subject for a documentary. I'll be looking for it in the LA and OC areas.

  • Would love to see this film! Where and when?

  • Brilliant! Every single school around the world should have to watch this film. I was bullied, and I'm not gay. I wasn't physically hurt, but the emotional abuse is awful. The worst part is how the schools won't do anything, just suggest we as the victims try to either hide or act different. My parents told, and the girls were like, oh we didn't do it.

Bullying sucks. Glad someone made a film about this!

  • @LibraPixie007 I agree. I think that everyone is harassed in high school in some way. Kids are cruel to each other and do things that adults would NEVER do. Ppl may call you faggot and sometimes they know you're gay and other times they may not realize it but if you are it takes a toll on you emotionally. The important thing to keep in mind is that those types of people are the ones who end up convicts & criminals because of their out of control behavior. You will go so much further in life!
