I work in a vet clinic, and I've learned a lot about this procedure. the puppy us "screaming" because he or she isn't enjoying being held down not because of the claw. Getting dew claws removed saves a ton of time for nail trims and removes the possibility of them having it torn off, resulting in a high vet bill or even infection.
No one was hurt....except for the SCREAMING PUPPY. Please people, don't buy dogs with "dew claws removed" and don't pay someone to torture your baby puppy. Dew claws are normal body parts in dogs, and DO NOT need removed!

It doesn't necessarily mean it hurts

@jessied81 i think shes only a day old i think it would be eaiser and less painfull for the nail to be pulled.
