Let's examine your god's family values! Notice how god says a woman isn't free to choose to stay with her own husband & kids: If you buy a Hebrew servant, he is to serve you for 6 years. But in the 7th year, he shall go free,paying nothing. If he comes alone, he is to go free alone; but if he has a wife when he comes, she is to go with him. If his master gives him a wife and she bears him kids, the woman and her kids shall belong to her master, and only the man shall go free. [Ex. 21:2-6]

When you go to war and the LORD your God lets you win and you take captives, if you notice among the captives a beautiful woman and are attracted to her, you may take her as your wife. Bring her into your home and have her shave her head, trim her nails and put aside the clothes she was wearing when captured. After she has lived in your house and mourned her parents for a full month, then you may go to her and be her husband and she shall be your wife. [Deut 21:10-14]

Let's not forget about the story of David and Batsheba. Our godly hero David committed adultery with Bat Sheba and had her husband killed. Even though God's law called for the death penalty for David for such crimes, the prophet Nathan was sent by God to tell David of his punishment: The newly born bastard child would be killed by God to punish David for his sins, and David maintains his status of being 'a man after God's own heart.' [2 Samuel 12] Yes, God kills babies for parent's sin!

Your slaves are to come from the nations around you; from them you may buy slaves. You may buy some of the temporary residents living among you, and they will become your property. You can will them to your children as inherited property and can make them slaves for life. Lev 25:44-46
If a man strikes his male or female slave with a rod and he dies at his hand, he shall be punished. If, however, he survives a day or two, no vengeance shall be taken; for he is his property. [Exodus 21:20-21]
